I'm trying to get a custom Goole Map started with outdoor, publicly accesible pull-up stations. If you can map some that would be great! Here's the map: tinyurl/pullup-bars!
Hey fool, see Balzzar from Bodyweightculture. See what he can do. You got shit on him. Put Balzzar spring training into youtube search. That Estonian will murder you.
Your half-right, it's french but a planche means «plank» so it applys to anny position where your body is COMPLETELY straight so maybe .15 and .16 could be considered good attemps. In general planche refers to planche puch-ups, a push up where you keep your body straigh and paralell to the ground without letting your legs touch the ground.
True you can see it that way. To be more specific, a planche is almost like a horizontal handstand but with your body facing down, unlike the flag. A better description would be basically in the top part of a pushup position but with your hands near your waist, and only your hands touching the ground with your body straight and parallel to the ground.
Some of those muscleups you did had a swing... in fact you piked in your swing, and barely bent your arms as much... In gymnastics thats called a kip! so hah, another term for you guys. However a proper kip is done with a swing, where in the front swing, you bring your toes to the bar in a piked body position and let your swing carry you up into a support above the bar.
Ha ha, why is the rateing as high as it is when the only replys are people argueing about what a planche is. Good work with your muscle ups tohugh, and can some one please tell me what the fuck a planche is, ha ha. Every definition is diferent.
I know a static hold with the arms in breakdancing and gymnastics is a planche, this word is also used in French to describe getting up from hanging. I am correct.
^ You're fucking stupid. In Parkour this movement is called La Planche. And what you described is called a front lever, the term planche in gymnastics applies to all holds done with the arms, not specifically the one you described.
You're confused, a planche is not the same thing as a muscle up. A planche is when you hold you body out horizontally in a pushup postion without your feet resting on the ground or any other object.
Brazilian have hard time spelling planche and muscle up separately.

TheAmazingOti 2 years ago
planche means plank, that means, you are as stiff as a plank, as a piece of wood. it requires a lot of strength
groelmichztod 3 years ago 2
Or momentum.

Planche is what the original Parkour practioners called a muscle up ;)
JammieTraceur 4 years ago 3
on a wall, muscle up exists as a conditiong move before parkour
kavudiego 3 years ago
not only a conditioning move though. i use muscle-ups all the time when im doing parkour
toml666 2 years ago
yes, of course, it is one of the most useful techniques for parkour.
DanielCriticalMX 2 years ago
can muscle ups really help in training? Maybe not for parkour but for other types of sport such as gymnastics?
Strummify 2 years ago
@Strummify Muscle ups are how gymnasts get into the starting position on the rings
superman10124 1 year ago
Thats not a planche. A planche is like a horizantal handstand.
