Maybe, but he was from Earth. Jimi was not of this planet and was brought here to play guitar. Eric is very good but not in the same league-let alone other powerhouse's like Page, Halen or even Santana. Speed doesn't make a great player. I love this song and even learned it on the guitar. Great phrasing. But there can only be so many special guitarists that have put an unmistakable fingerprint on their sound. Think about the short time Jimi was here and what he accomplished.
