  • This sucks....TRAIN ON A WIG!! This is not gonna help

  • fail.

  • This is so asinine , the on screen scissors go half way into the skull when cutting .. yea very accurate. GOD people are ridiculous

  • I don't really see the nescessity for something like this...???

  • CG粗すぎ。 90年代初期じゃあるまいし。

  • a lot of money. wasted!!!! use it to buy MANNEQUINS!!!!!

  • I think it's stupid, it can't be used for training, because the hair dresser will become careless when cutting the hair believing it's just virtual and wont even learn hair grabbing techniques

  • And the prototype scissor controller... is CARBON!

  • omg that women is pual(tekken)? o_o

  • Lol I love how that guy doesn't seem to know how to actually cut hair.

  • hmmm

  • The device is huge and cumbersome. Unless it is refined and made much smaller, it won't give a true simulation of how hair-cutting scissors are held and angled to achieve certain cutting techniques.

  • i never knew hair were all horizontal or vertical cones

  • the most useless thing i ever saw

  • hogy ez mekkor baromság, te jejjjzusom :))))!

  • this guy knows nothing about cutting REAL hair...

  • has anyone noticed the virtual scissors on the screen are actually upside down.. ;)

i guess the creators never actually tried holding a pair of scissors.. and that's what really silly is here...

  • O_O;; How odd a invention... It's good an idea, but rather difficult because it works like a tablet. You have to see the screen to see the hair, but the problem is, unlike a computer desktop, hair is in 3D and has texture. It's way too uncertain to feel the depth you need to push the scissors to cut, nor can you lift the virtual hair for the various hair cutting techniques hairstylists use. Unless they include some device for the other hand as well, this sadly isn't any good than for a toy.

  • better use wig

  • kai sou kana ena malli .... mourlia UBER FAIL !!!

  • @gligoris aahhahahahhahhahah

  • Invent real life mannequins with the play-do effect instead.

  • I scratch my head at those who can't see the implications this sort of VR may have. It's prototypical, so of course the detail is coarse, but if you want to get repeated practice cutting hair for instance, a mannequin with hair is only good for so many uses, is somewhat pricey, and volunteers with real hair might be hard to come by, a VR simulation, once programmed in detail with many additional layers of realism could become a great and inexpensive training tool that can be accessed anytime.

  • THIS IS ABSOLUTELY SILLY...USE A REAL MANNEQUIN

  • Fail

  • fun but forget the training application...

  • Use real people. Get the feeling of real hair. Put it this way.... Do you learn how to swim out side of water and jump in the deep end straight away?

  • @Cruz8r cuz you can drown.

  • I like the presenters hair cut. :D

  • sucks, wii is better xD

  • Why not use fake hair on the mannequin? Just sayin'

  • @TheLizard17

because it has to be replaced where as with this just push reset lol.

  • I could see that as a game for young girls. 'Barbie's Beauty Salon' or something along those lines.

  • thats so retarded, look very inaccurate. looks lik hes stabing its head with the scissors.

  • probably a bit less useless than the most useless machine thingy that turns itself off every time u push the button

  • It's a good start but It doesn't help learning how to cut hair at all...It isn't even close to being real. It's more like a game (a very boring game) They need to make way way more hairs on the model I mean its really, really basic.. Looks like something from like 20 years ago aka the 90's

  • Wow, this is a complete fail. It's broken. It doesn't cut where the guy cuts, and, and, and c'mon! Seriously, look at the simulation. Really? C'mon!

  • ROFLMAO! next episode, virtual toe nail clipping!

  • perfectly round head ftw

  • Reminds me of the saturday night live sketch for a commercial promoting a virtual reality headset + gloves that simulates reading a large virtual book, one sentence per page.

  • cool idea

  • you idiots need to understand and read the subtiles, this is just an demonstration of the technology. dumbasses thinking this is their finished product..sigh

  • Can you cut the manikin's ear off or accidentally stab the scissors into it's head? And will it be available for the Nintendo Wii soon?

  • His hands make him look like he is a robot....he mite be

  • Just right for dummies

  • Can you make a fully automatic hair cut machine ? Just choose the style (only a few styles such as Japanese or Chinese man short hair style) then move the head into the machine to cut. If this is fast enough, it will be good for putting one near the mass transit bus or train station then you will get rich easily.

  • Nice toy, 100% useless!

  • I wanna see that thing take of the dummies ear.

  • epic fail xD

  • fail

  • that looks soooooo bad there is no way you would learn anything from that except a 10c pair of scissors does a better job than all that tech :)

  • How the fuck is this gonna teach people to cut hair?

  • @Sunnyboiz LOL this is only a simulator.. of course la cant cut hair
