I dont think Apple can stop the Sprint Peel....because it is merely a wifi hotspot, technically speaking, no different than their Overdrive/MiFi device except that it fits around the iPod.

Unlike the Yosion Peel which needs a jailbroken phone and direct access into data port, the iPod wouldnt interact with the sprint device any other way than it would in some random wifi hotspot. and I have a feeling sprint will price the plans for this competively in order to lure customers away from at&t.
