  • Amazing!

  • She was at my college today but i got there late and missed her... GUTTED.

  • @RainyCitySongs that sounds like it would be awful ... sorry

  • just seen her today live in college in manchester.. amazing!!! a true inspiration

  • Still one of my favs

  • that was fuckin tight

  • ohhh my godddd. i cant take complaining in poetry anymore. jesus.

  • I love this woman. I met her 2 years ago. She came to africa and we `ve made a show together with some other students.. she is great

  • gooosebumpsssssss everytimeeeeee !!!

  • Why are ppl fighting on here? This is a beautiful poem. can't you just enjoy it

  • NICCCEEEE!!!!

  • I LOVE her voice!

  • LIFE!!!

  • can't get enough of this.

  • Amazing bravo

  • i wonder who's moving her?

  • I get so sick of this whole we don't know how to love men or we all looking for daddies or because we didn't have good fathers that mean we don't know or have good men in our lives but the rest of it i agree with

  • @devore504 she doesn't say we don't know how to love men she said we love them differently. i can relate, i know how she feels.

  • @nomoreiloveyou ok well i had uncles and an older brother and his friends to teach me what a real man was so wasn't sleeping with every man to make me feel pretty or loved oh yeah and had a mom who loved me why can't women like u just say i dont know how to love cause i suck as a person or i am a whore cause i want to be stop blaming your deadbeat daddy

  • @devore504 first of all, i'm not a whore and i'm a guy. 2nd, i had my grandfather and uncles to show me how real men should be, also. she doesn't say anything about being a whore to feel better or "not knowing how to love." there are people out there, men and women, who grew up without ANY male rolemodels in their life. Which you obviously know nothing about since you did have them in yours. Don't be a douche by my judging others and jumping to conclusions about something you know NOTHING about.

  • @devore504 dude wtf is wrong with you??

  • @devore504 once again I find you insulting a FEMALE poet on def poetry jam. i think you have a problem with females you need to address.

  • I love her!

  • I get goosebumps every. single. time I listen to this, its just so beautiful =]

  • LOVE IT!! and she's sooo BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • everybody.. please stand up and give miss gina loring a round of applause.. amazing!!!

  • I love the moral of the poem. it really hits home for me. I wonder if so many would stop having negative things to say about people who God has given them a talent, maybe we all could one day come together as one. Ignorance is Bliss. Not many people think others have a special talent & it's sad, because God gave us all something special.

  • How can you call this proud women a name dropper? Cuz she said some names here and there to allow us a view into her world? Into her childhood. She is a name dropper trying to become famous? Go find some other videos of her. Other poems and hear her say no names and still speak to the heart like a fresh breath of air. No she is not dropping names to become famous she is speaking words to touch our souls. Simple.

  • Love this!

  • Her voice is so clear, there are moments where it sounds like she's nearly singing. Beautiful.

  • Shivers down my spine! So much talent.

  • and that piece definitely moved me..

  • dayummm

  • Why would 19 people dislike this?? I don't understand!

  • @cowlurver wow this sucks sooooo bad... she just named famouse people to try and get famous.. wowl what a loser...... she needs to hear herself... and she'll get a real job and meet a nice person and have kids... but she's lost... and holding on to race cards because she cant hold her own. what a loser... she's stuck in the past and not moving forward... that sucked so bad. Good luck playing with cow lovers that crap hate in the world.. hate is and easy way out to hide and prosper... loser

  • @dadspayments

Agreed. So many people are easily dazzled by rapid fire words that name drop famous people and pieces of American culture. In fact, there are thousands of similar videos on You Tube.

We have been bitten by Tony The Tiger, who has got him by the tail, who has gone to jail, who passed Go for free, I know who shakes the sugar tree, Gaga, Bieber and the flight of the bumble bee. << Say this with a hard look on your face and the Def Jam audience will ooh and ahh like you're a genius.

  • @Steny LMAO! I swear I was the only one and add a few curses and your a rebel!

  • @Steny I'm sorry if you misunderstood. I couldn't care less about who she names or how fast. I don't have a clue whoever the hell she's naming. I don't recognize these names, but I understand pain. I understand that she grew up without a real family, without a real home. Oh, that and I'm not American. Just thought I ought to let you know.

  • @dadspayments And you know her so much 2 know this. Talkin about "wow this sucks soooo bad.." You know i could really say how i feel about you, but all i can say if it sucks so bad then why dont you get out of here. You seem like your some punk kid who doesnt know anything about poetry.

  • @dadspayments okay if you actually listened to the poem then you would understand that she's not just name dropping she's relating those people to her life experiences...seriously are you deaf because it's all right there

what she's saying is her life...HER LIFE EXPERIENCES so if you sit there and judge and compare it to crappy poetry then you seriously wouldn't know poetry if it bit you in the butt!

  • @dadspayments o.o Geez, obviously you need to take a break. You're too blinded by your own self pity and hatred that you can't see the meaning behind this. Dadspayments, I see why you're username matches you perfectly. You're a waste of space and existence and live in your parents attic because you can't find a soulmate seeing as you don't have a soul and can't even get yourself a job because you're too "busy" hating on other people and their opinions, so if you don't mind, get a life and leave.

  • @cowlurver Oh, and don't take it out on the cows. Take it out on the damn farmers that feed them the harmful, but cheap corn that they know will build up in their stomach and slowly kill the cow off, but instead of giving them food they were created to eat, they decide to play God and cut a hole in the innocent creature's stomach and pulling all the crap out of there. They suffer this, yet they also know that the only thing they have waiting for them is a slaughterhouse. Don't blame the cows.

her poem was so good. I exspecially love the part about meeting her brother

  • I know what you mean. People always think it's a cop out but that's just truth.

  • Yeah,I felt that statement too.I think that's the thing about poetry. The most simple yet painfully true lines can pierce you deep because in one sentence someone says what you've felt but couldn't explain to the point where it brings tears to your eyes."We of the fatherless tribe love differently",did it for me...
