I have an Atheist friend i'm helping get into church but i was in a conversation with a few more plus him and i wanted to slam their head into my keyboard i would say thank god for giving me patience but it was the lack of them living close that stopped me.

Your job is to give the truth of the gospel and a reasonable answer when they ask you why you believe in the hope that is within you. Sometimes the seed falls upon a fertile heart and sometimes it doesn't. But, no need for frustration..thats not your concern. God is sovereign and He is the one who opens the ears and bends hearts toward Him to be able to hear the truth of His word and trust in Christ.
Assuming, of course, that the person has been predestined to be His child.
