There are two segments of reversed video in this intro: Rachel and Chandler jump "up" onto the rim of the fountain at :03, and then Chandler spits water back into his mouth (before looking to the sides) at :31. Later seasons run the clip forwards to show him looking first, then spitting. LOL
does anyone know if these HD copies are cropped and upscaled or if this is more remastered etc... as in are these episodes missing part of the picture or showing more than the originals? thanks.
@charliestyr from what i've been told friends was recorded on 35mm film so these aren't cropped (these are what was fully recorded on film) but they are upscaled to hd
@KH2393 thanks for the response, I've started watching season 1 in this format. I tried to compare with the old DVDs and it looks as though there is a little lost from top and bottom but new views gained on the sides. I would guess they can't go too far at the sides as that was never meant to be shown "originally" so there will be set edges/tech etc there. Anyway, it looks really great, definitely taken from the film not upscaled. Thanks for your response again. Charlie -
