Oh, and the Count is probably the most mythologically accurate vampire in recent times. Vampires used to be Eastern European and tinted red from blood consumption. They climbed walls and fences a la spider. Also, the thing with sunlight was invented by Hollywood - original vampires were merely nocturnal. Oh, and they nurtured a fierce obsession with counting things.

The lightning was part of the Count's segments on Sesame Street. (Actually it was exactly what happens when you press start. Ocasionally lightning/thunder would crash in the background and he would laugh)
