Sorry Islam I don't agree with you that without veil you will be raped. In my country, the women and girls who wear veils are also raped. Babies too get raped. Stoning to death is only an islamic punishment. It was never practiced in Iran before Islam and therefore, not a part of Iranian culture. After the islamic revolution the islamic goverment has been practicing it mostly for women and in some cases men. Unfortunately uneducated, extereme muslems do participate in it by throwing stones to kill the person. It is an absolutely barbaric act no matter what the so-called crime of the person is (mainly in case of adultery).

Yes , you are wrong.islam does not say that women can't work, that's more tradition the western world moved forward while the eastern still think that a women should stay home and take care of the house. Sharia is the Islamic law. From the muslims' point of view, Sharia is the Law of Allah. It is the most powerful law, on top of all the mankind laws. Part of it is deducted from the holy book, Quran, part from the Prophet's teaching. Stoning to death is only an islamic punishment. It was never practiced in Iran before Islam and therefore, not a part of Iranian culture. After the islamic revolution the islamic goverment has been practicing it mostly for women and in some cases men. Unfortunately uneducated, extereme muslems do participate in it by throwing stones to kill the person. It is an absolutely barbaric act no matter what the so-called crime of the person is (mainly in case of adultery).

اگر اقاي نورسته مي خواسته جرييات اين وحشيگري را نشان دهد بهتر بود تحقيق بيشتري مي كرد مثلا در صحنه قبل از سنكسار روسري ثريا برداشته مي شود و او بي حجاب چند دقيقه براي مردم نطق ميكند!!

Yes , you are wrong.islam does not say that women can't work, that's more tradition the western world moved forward while the eastern still think that a women should stay home and take care of the house. However there are a lot of women that have an education and a job in the east to day. So there are both a modern and an old fashioned life style today. But it's tradition NOT Islam.

This happens when state is controled by the church (religion). In Bible there are 12 passages which describe stoning events. Similar stories are in islam. Once fundamental religious people take over, we leave in 12 century. The US constitution is the best thing happend to man kind: Seperation of Church & State. People of Iran will kick the Arabs out of Iran & get their pride back by adopting a similar constitution.

Women in U.S. can file for divorce whenever they want. They can also get half of the properties on her husband on divorce. They can be a pilot, firefighters, taxi drivers, truck drivers or anything they want. They can wear anything they want. They can work and they can purchase their own house and go out without a man relative accompanying them. They can also scold a man or sue them. Is this 2nd class? Then I don't know what is 2nd class.

Sorry, you are truly wrong. Jesus never abolished stoning. Just check out ACTS & read how Stephen was stoned to death w/ Saul or Paul authorizing it. Stoning according to Mosaic Law was only abolished in the early 20th ce. due to Despora Jews. It's abolished among Apostolic Christians, yes, not Jews.
Women are 2nd class pretty much all over the world, except USA, Some parts in Europe, S. Amer. and so forth. Last week they stone an Iraqi woman, the US forces could do nothing but watch.

Let's see: When Jesus Christ said to the Jews "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." (John 8:7) was him supporting the stoning or banning it? When the Jews went away ashamed, he said to the woman: "Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more". He was obviously not supporting the stoning, and he left an example for His Church, so the stoning according Jesus teachings is banned...

I understanding what you are saying, but Jesus never banned it from the Jewish practice. It's was practiced all the way till early 20th ce. Stop putting it into a Christian perspective. Depending on wish denomination you are looking at. Some burned their adultress at the stake, some where branded on the forehead, and some were even given female circumcision. I'm a Christian and I've studied World Religion. You need to go beyond the Bible to understand this. Yes, it is barbaric.

The "Jewish practice" as you said are man-made commands. Jesus' words are commands not only for Christians but for the Humanity. So, yes, God banned the stonings in Christ. I don't want to insult you, because you are looking at this at a Christian perspective only. Jews then and today do not believe Jesus to be God, & neither do Islam. That's only relevant to us.
You have to remember that different Christian denominations had their way of punishing adultress. Like I said, some were burned to the stake, branded a scarlet letter on the forehead, and some were given female circumsion.
In our time or generation this is indeed barbaric and it should be outlawed.
