simple...and I didn't even see the trailer yet--it seems that there is this family. We'll call them Mama Gilmore and Papa Chandler because I can't remember the names of their characters. A relative has gotten in a car accident and it has altered their brain-wave function somehow. This happens a lot to head injuries.

Anyhoo---I suppose the movie is about the re-weaving of family and dealing with Jay's difficult condition.
