  • These guys are good!!

  • this song reminds me of a wet wooden cabin in the middle of the woods, with an axe still stuck in the tree stump and smoke coming out of the chimney.

  • Does anyone think this song is about marijuana?

  • This song reminds me of the song God Bless the USA when they say "I'm Proud to be an American" for some reason during the chorus.

  • sk8rat

  • fucking love you m ward, youre my muse.

  • I'm also partial to the line, "Now the sky is pink. Rooftop swimming pool." Right before the songs best lines. Makes everything so peaceful. I'm gonna go do yoga on my roof, suck my own dick (which is the only reason men do yoga), and try to coax a pterodactyl to fly low enough so I can ride it off into the sunset and into that pink sky.

  • Couldn't we all use a place to be?

  • 1 person had to dislike this vid to light the joint of the like/dislike bar. And for that, sir, we thank you. However, for having poor taste in music, we spank you.

  • Why is this song so serious?

  • @rolybrown You are supposed to put commas before quotations in a middle of a sentence.

With that said, WTB more M. Ward vocals and less of Conor's whiney voice.

  • @fahrenheit0189 Conor's voice makes me jizz in my panties.

  • @fahrenheit0189 oh hey, another grammar nazi. it's youtube not honor's english class.

  • @LUKEwhatUUP There isn't an apostrophe in "Honors English," pal.

  • @pumpkinether Oh hey, ANOTHER grammar nazi. fuck off and listen to music. get some pussy. play a sport. do anything other than be a troll.

  • @LUKEwhatUUP I don't even know where to start here. You've written several fragment sentences here, and you've forgotten to capitalize the first word in almost all of your sentences. I would suggest that you take a remedial English class at your local community college if you have the time or patience.

  • @pumpkinether your level of douchebaggery is through the roof right now. i honestly don't know why i'm having one of these retarded youtube arguments. the comment section on every single youtube video is either a race war or a grammar battle. and you proceeded to do the very thing i originally stated that all douchebag trolls do, and you critiqued my fucking youtube comment. congratulations.

  • @LUKEwhatUUP Gee whiz, it's almost like you haven't learned at all. I have to wonder if you're possibly regressing, because previously you had at least capitalized your I's. It seems to me now that remedial English might not be enough; I suggest that you contact your local ESL program to see if they can help you learn the proper forms of our fine language.

  • @pumpkinether dude, you must be like, the smartest guy on youtube. you're blowing my fucking mind right now. if albert einstein were here, i bet he'd suck your dick for a history lesson.

  • @LUKEwhatUUP I appreciate your kind words, friend, but I am begging you to put down the keyboard and seek help. It isn't too late for you to take up the mantle of proper grammar.

  • @LUKEwhatUUP My name is also Luke, we win.

    Other guy is a doucheydouchedouchebag.

  • @LUKEwhatUUP There shouldn't be an apostrophe in "honor's"

  • I dind't listen to the member's old bands and I find kinda difficult to reconize the voices. Does anyone know who sings what song, please ? Thanks. By the way, one of the greatest bands I've heard...

  • @OliverDaves It's Conor Oberst. You should really check out Bright Eyes. They're amazing :) .

  • @grumpybritishguy I couldn't help but notice that you forgot to capitalize the 't' in the second sentence of your post. In addition to this, you failed to include an apostrophe in the word 'weren't'. Furthermore, the second sentence is indeed poorly constructed as it leaves the reader in a state of confusion as to exactly what 'douche man' refers to. Are you reffering to the 'rolybrown' who is a 'douche man' or are you stating that the line refers to something deeper than 'that douche man'?

  • @rolybrown Hey bro, you spelled referring wrong.

  • @witheyessowide LOL burn!

  • @rolybrown haha! your a homo dude

  • theyre like our generations crosby stills and nash and young

  • Take a piece of the sunshine with me on a red eyed flight to another world.

  • @rolybrown a red-eye flight moron. they werent ripped on the plane, much deeper than that douche man.

  • @grumpybritishguy Jeez, you really are grumpy :P .

  • They all sing lead for different songs. This is Oberst. Some of the songs on youtube, like Temazcal for example, are different than the CD. On youtube, Ward sings Temazcal but on the CD Oberst does.

  • @tkingbaksunday11

I was so dissapointed when I found out the album version didn't have Ward singing Temazcal.

  • @LivesUnderABridge Me too. I am a huge fan of Conor's, his lyrical genius and voice are incredible but Ward did an awesome job singing Temazcal and I could not picture it any other way.

  • "the line, I'm not care free, no, I'm free to care, i just never do " does not fit in with fest the song."

    - That's the best damn line!

  • how does it not fight in?

  • i think that's the point.

  • even though its basically a bright eyes song, this is my current favorite off the album.

  • Comment removed

  • @snowballbutter agreed, but The Sandman, The Brakeman, and Me is pretty good too

  • ...I'm not care-free..I'm free to care, I just never do....ahh, Conor, I love you...the genius that you are....:)

  • @jaye230 :)

  • @jaye230 this is M. Ward not connor, he sings in their music videos

  • @InuitMan1 This is so obviously Conor Oberst singing

  • @InuitMan1 This is Oberst.

  • @jaye230 Can you explain that line for me please?

  • @jaye230 that's my favourite lyric too :)

  • I think there is some sort of underground movement of dislike for M. Ward...hahaha. He gets under my skin too for some reason. I think it just seems like he's got his little fingers in everyone's cookie jar. However, I did see him play with Conor at the Newport Folk Festival four summers ago (i think it) and he kicked ass.

  • @SKExies I usually dont stand up for artists but Ward is an exception. It was actually Conor who sought out M. Ward and helped him get his music more recognized. Conor admires the guy,

i remember reading an interview where conor said if he had a bad day, he just puts on one of matts records and daydreams away.

  • @TheFallOFAvel

    Pour quoi?

    M.Ward is amazing.

  • theres just something about him that just pisses me off

  • well maybe you should try and like him because he seems like a really cool person.

I did the same thing with Jim James when I saw Monsters of Folk live I don't know why, but I thought he seemed condescening. I hated that I hated him though, haha. So I tried to get to know him better because I knew that he was a cool person and that I was disliking him for no reason. and now I love him.

  • *condescending

  • no doubt, huh?

  • yeah man, I'm just being honest.

  • i know..i was being rhetorical...:)

  • aha okay I see :)

  • Favorite song off this album, sounds like a brand new bright eyes album.

  • not at all.

  • well imo

  • Nice main riff.

  • This reminds me so much I Will Be Grateful For This Day. A kinda acoustic version - with different lyrics.

  • Favorite song on the album. =) Keep on, Conor.

  • TUNE! .......not much else to say.

  • intro is much like She's A Jar

  • cant wait to seem them this sunday

  • This entire album is Boss! By far an excellent example of excellent music.

    What a lineup! :)

  • It's easy to tell which songs were written by Oberst, which by M. Ward, and which by Jim James. But there are some great moments where the three meet. It's such a great album, though. Probably my favorite of 2009 so far.

  • sounds a little like a cassedega meets mystic valley band

  • This is great :) Sounds a lot like a Bright Eyes song, but that's nothing but good :D

  • I think this one is my fave from the whole CD. I love them all though!! such a great collaboration with amazing artists!!

  • I DIG THIS!!!

I have probably heard this song a thousand times already. =p

  • They're not monsters. They're just ahead of the curve.

  • @ajay7536 I see what you did there.

  • Totally, probably my favorite on this album...great group of guys... this one is Bright Eyes Conor Oberst...

  • such a good song!
