I work at a custom metal fabrication shop and that is pathetically slow, and I'm having a hard time remotely believing that is a 325lb part, unless it is 3/8 stainless considering that is a very small press brake which could not handle that. We could run circles around that machine at my shop and change out punches and dies in the process. Robots must be extremely cheap or something.
The video is sped up, but I believe the idea is that the counter is real time. Obviously you can't show a 4+ minute cycle time in a 3 minute video.
I have always wondered why automation is so slow, the controls and components are capable of going so much faster. Is it an issue of momentum affecting precisions?
