Metals in the body can be deadly if not treated right away so it is important not to leave the issue to work itself out. In fact, most heay metals will not flush from the body on their own so this is important to keep in mind if heavy metals are suspected.
Yeah - I noticed the static, time to get a new camera. Heavy metals in pet birds comes from cage paint, toys, jewelry, or items which should not be played with. In this case, Tulip got the toxicity from breathing contaminated air where meatal "dust" was floating about as her previous owner was a glass blower. On her x-ray, the bits of metal looked far too tiny and fine to be metal but they were so dense they had to be metal. We did not realize until later that this had to be metal "dust."
