We have enough problems with self esteem issues. Everyone is trying to reach higher and better. Why do we think that white America couture show represents urban America as one of the founders of urban fashion, not just urban fashion week? Why can't our DC Urban Fashion Week co exist with DC Fashion Week? Stand up Urban America! People have to take there time to be successful and it will happen. Don't try to springboard off of someone else's growth!
Scam is when people do something once or twice and trick people out of their money, but a business is when you pay taxes and successfully operate ongoing. Stop reading the haters rhetoric and pay attention to what's really going on.Black people are spending too much time trying to break each other down instead of building urban America up. Urban America is here to stay!
Jerome, I'm coming after you! You have my attention now and it's on and poppin! Get an attorney because you will need one! Your 10 min. of fame is over!!!UFW11 years and still growing!!!!
@urbanfashionindustry I sure as help the models will come after you for wasting their time and money. UFW is 11 years with alot of backlash. i google your company and you have been known to scam ppl in Las Vegas (Magic convention ring a bell)??? You are banned from New York (which don't get me started on how you stole the name from dudes who are after you) Hmmmmmm
The way he came around and got our support in which we allowed him to promote his company on stage, and then went on YouTube and dragged us through the mud, I would never treat a dog like that! Something like that makes me want to take him an give him a spanking in front of The Capitol Building with all urban america watching, but he might like it!
@urbanfashionindustry You treated your own brothers and sisters like a dog, pimping models into selling tickets for a fashion show supposedly hosted by a Z-list celebrity that never show up. Then to have a Press Conference at a Dinner table? Auditions at a bar and grill? Come on..the videos and pictures are living proof that the show was a hot mess.
@urbanfashionindustry I'm sure you're not the object of his affection, NO ONE would like it. What you're implying is hilarious. Stop before I die laughing.
I don't have anything against gay life style however when you become a sissy attention-craving type faggot, then I have a problem with you! I disagree with his evil behavor! I will not allow people to be held under his evil messy faggot anger! I would treat it differently, but I'll let the law handle it. When you see him give him a piece of your mind.
@urbanfashionindustry So you have nothing against the gay lifestyle but yet you are calling him some very vulgar names? This is coming from someone who boast about working with celebrities but yet you are acting like a dumb ass because someone is telling the truth about how your show was run. He wasn't the only one on Facebook giving his opinion of this wack fashion show.
@urbanfashionindustry LMAO you are so messy. As a industry professional, one would think you'd be above these comments. Way to loose your fan base there buddy. When you respond to someone, do it with intelligence and not emotions bc you then end up making comments about how you truly feel. If you supported the gay community, you would know not to use that word.
@urbanfashionindustry If Calvin Klein or any other designer had a problem with one black person and decided to call him a "nigger" EVERY black person would be offended. Don't think that just bc you are saying this comment to Emore J, that you are not offending others.
@urbanfashionindustry When I see YOU I will give YOU a piece of my mind. You are so disgraceful. I can't believe you call yourself a professional and have the gawl to make the comments you just made. He had an opinion, if you didn't like his opinion, change the channel! LOL WOW! You are older than everyone on youtube and yet you're the most immature. You need a moment of clarity.
UFW would like apologize to all that participated in the DC Urban Fashion Week. I feel really bad for having Emorej at the events. Emorje is a very messy character . He had no right to take your joy away. After the event, the models and designers were very proud of their works of art and congratulated each other. I am taking legal action against Emorej for damages of $500,000 plus.
First and foremost, thank you for apologizing to the participants of DC Urban Fashion DAY. Now on second thought, you need to feel bad for calling that mess a fashion show. A paper runway? Designers with clothes that not even a regular person would wear & from 4 seasons ago? But you got the nerve to take legal action???
@urbanfashionindustry How can you sue for that much in damages when the show wasn't even worth $100,000.00? Did you pay the models, staff etc? Or did you pocket the small change that was made? If you are able to sue for such a thing, go ahead, maybe next time you can get a runway that's not made out of paper.
LOL...I'm moving to DC in March and I can't wait to see some of those horrible show myself..lol. j/k. However, I will be honor to come to one of your show, though.
Figures,..it's Deja vu all over again! I shot his 1st Urban Fashion Week show in NYC and the same thing happened then. The 1st show was nice but started very late and was wayyyyyyyy to damn long. He had 30-40 designers and (it seem as) each designer showed every outfit they ever made. After approximatly 20-30 minutes of shooting, I realized I was still shooting the 1st designer. The other days, each show was held at less desirable locations (being nice), with the same crowd and set up.
Fashion show was completely GHETTO. Since when did urban equate to ghetto?
Folks sitting in the front row of a Fashion Week event who clearly DO NOT belong there (sat front row for free so that the photos looked like there was people there) yelling at the models walking down the run way saying things like "I want me some of that" and "Damn, I want you to come home with me after this." Before they called everyone to come up from the rafters, I was the ONLY was sitting front row...WTF!!
Designers: URBAN is suppose to be TREND-SETTING, this was SO NOT!!! I didn't see ANYTHING new.
Sound system...shot! Barely audible.
Entertainment: Why was the entertainment BEHIND the front row and off to the side of the runway. Folks had to break their necks to see the performance....{shaking head}
OMG... LMFAO....why did you stab that sheet of paper like that?
I am so surprised you didn't say anything about them calling you and I up on the stage in the middle of the show to introduce the "celebrities" to their audience...we GAGGED!!!
They did say celebs would be there, to our surprise it was us...LOL
Thanks Love. I will take your advice and run with it. I hope one day once I get my start in the fashion industry, we can collab. Keep making great videos. Its inspiring!
l0l your videos are on point. i'm a fashion merchandise student.. do you have any advice for people who want to get into the industry or become a famous stylist?
@retroshortii Greetings Fashion Friend. The best Advice i can give you is building an awesome relationship with retailers & designers, start making a clientele for yourself and also build a brand that you can be recognized by. I hope that helps.. Muah!
