@kyochan77 Tiger numbers now are estimated to be 5000 i think, but there was huge scandal found about authorities manipulating and exaggerating numbers. i read some where there are about 3000-4000 in the wild.The Govt. has done its job of preserving the habitat for tigers, but about 500 deaths to poachers due to the chinese market, and corrupt authorities are hindering the number increase.If you liked this do research the Asiatic Lion story, from 50- 1000 lions.

@Aaron6freya with the advancement of cloning, it might be possible to bring back extincted animals.

I hope tigers will never die out because they're amazing animals but genetic engineering might be able

to save them. Chinese people probably don't understand the consequences. in time, they might. people who hunt for sport are just as bad. it's ok to hunt for meat to feed your family.

@dhom100 When Tigers die out it will be because they're territory has been seized by humans, so if we do indeed perfect the ability to clone a perfect tiger, and teach the cubs to hunt and survive hoping that they're natural instincts are still there.. where will we put them if they have no land? I believe that if we are to protect the population of other animals we first need to get our own population under control.
