MY god! I´m 14 and I play houbo since I was 8 and I¨m playing Vicenzo Bellini¨s concert in E moll... Who is his teacher? His sound is like Holliger´s!!
i think this is his best sonata... the saxophone (originally for Eb horn) is pretty week, I don't care for the clarinet one at all, and the bassoon one is ok but just not as nice to listen to has the oboe one. I've also played the 2nd movement of the flute one (but not the others as I just really was not a big fan). I do really like the oboe sonata! Congrats! This is nice to listen to.
WOW!!!! Insane oboe skills!!! You showed me up!! haha! but i've only been playing 2 and a half years... my main instrument is flute... amazing!! one thing about Hindemith though, he doesnt write a key signature.. its all accidentals! so fun! :/ haha! I have to play a hindemith piece for my district audition...
brilliant! for your age as well you have done really well, just one major thing tho...
get a new pianist! she is too loud in the sensitive parts where the oboe needs to shine through, and obviously something went wrong at the end but good job for staying with her!
As a high school oboe player of 7 years just now being introduced to this piece, I have the utmost respect for this kid. This is fabulous. Have you ever considered playing Poulenc or Saint-Saens? They are both beautiful French composers- check out the second mvt. of the Saint-Saens sonata especially- I would love to hear this kid play it.
Great playing - One of my favourite pieces too - performed with style, aplomb and a pleasing tone. I can see you going a long way

great work!
some pointers
Take less reed,
use more expression and dynamics,
make more of an O shape with your mouth to get a richer sound
