  • super I love this sciens you used to your inventions keep it coming bro and thank you so much... for the oportunities for learning new ways to traing...

  • Hello there! Have you heard about the Fat Blast Furnace (do a search on google)? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my cooworker lost tons of weight.

  • the problem with this exercise is, most people use more of their arm muscle than their back.

Using ropes with rings (or TRX) instead of the fixed bar will work much more back and less arms.

  • This guy is insane!!!

  • Does this work the rear delts too???

  • Thats what it's all about ! Ayy I love this guy . Great program !

  • I would feel like a dick doing this in the gym but it makes complete sense

  • Watch the video, do the exercice and watch the video again just to be able to say :

    "I was already doing it -.-!!!" :D

  • Hey I would like to know what I'm doing wrong with my bench press because I now have overly developed front delts please let me know what I'm doing wrong by sending me a message

  • @fable2able you need to work ur rear delts

  • @fable2able You need to work your back a little more because what happens when you work the chest too often the muscles in the chest begin to pull your shoulders forward and what happens your back begins to round out and the shoulder blades are visible. I hope this helps but I apologize if I misunderstood your comment.

  • My wrestling coach taught us this. We didn't have the bar and stand availible so we had one guy stand over another who was ont his back. They would both lock wrists and the bottom guy would pullup. It is the best workout ever, thank you!!!

  • @HorrocksCello homoerotic

  • @jonesyman23 It's not gay unless you get a boner.

  • This guy is really good!.

really good exercises for arms, shoulder and back!

    Looking forward for more vids!

  • the reason it takes less strength to lower the bar than it does to lift it is because say if you were lifting 100lbs, it would take MORE than that amount of force to move it whereas letting gravity lowering it will take less than 100lbs of force. It has nothing to do with having more strength on the esentric part of an exercise.

  • i used to rep 300lbs on bench press but only force negatively with a spotter. The results are great! you get a great pump just trying to control the weight coming down and doing that continuosly can give you a great burn

  • This is a great exercise, I do it with the leg straight in both negative and positive.

  • This is sort of like negative pullups o_O

  • how am i suposed to do that exercise in a gym full of people, they will start saying that thats the bench press for chest not for back

  • can i run the day after a leg workout or would that ruin my recovery?

  • Thanks for the tip.

  • I'm not on athlean , but I do this haha

  • good exercise and those sneakers are dope too

  • i do these, i prefer them to rows seated, burn much more

  • You are the man!

  • Thanks Jeff! By the way, how many times should I do this excercise in a week time?

  • hey jeff just wanted to say u are a FITNESS GENIUS!!! seriously ur amazing im a big fan all the way from dubai. so keep up the good work! btw jst out of curiosity how much is ur fat percentage? u look eXtremely ripped!

  • you should do a power lifting video

  • ive actually been doing this before watching this workout

  • @Mrpro7B what's it like, waht are the results?

  • JEFF your awesome!!!

  • dont know if this works. i have NEVER seen this done

  • Hey Jeff,154 videos uploaded and nothing about a real workout plan! Show us the best workout plan where are combined the most effective exercises which are pretty found in your videos.I am a teen and I seriously wanna change my body. I really appreciate your work.I expect an answer.thx

  • @endri1994pl

This guy will not give you all the information you need. Plus, he gives lots of false information. He tends to overcomplicate thing in order to look like some sort of "fitness-scientist" or even a doctor.

If you want unbiased and genuine advice, check out Scooby1961's videos and Rob Riches videos. Scott Herman is also a pretty genuine guy.

So definitely don't overestimate the guy's videos.

  • @Behindspace90 Of course their stuff is free they're just wanna-be trainers. What are their credentials? They're internet created personalities. Jeff is an actual WORKING pro athlete trainer with real pro athlete clients that you can see on TV. Of course he sells a product. Who would buy a program from a deflated roid bag named after a cartoon dog?

  • @MrSmashandgrab

    I LOL'd.

  • @Behindspace90 thats probably cuz he went to college for all this. Hes smart as hell

  • @SpecOpsMission

You mean Jeff? Well, let me tell you that fitness and bodybuilding as a very poorly researched sport. There's relatively little information about it. Sure you can study anatomy etc., but does that make you a fitness and bb expert? Not at all. Bodybuilding has always been something empirical; people found out themselves. Jeff is just a pseudo scientist who wants to sell IMO.

I also would love to see his "diploma" and most important: whàt he studied. Cause every one can "study"..

  • @Behindspace90 then message and ask him about it cuz hes said plenty of times of what hes studied in high and his programs great i got it hes not trying to body build as you probably already know that. He can back up a lot of shit he says. You think he just tries to sound scientific? Its cuz hes backing up his knowledge

  • @Behindspace90 And dont you think hed actually have to be very knowledgeable and went to college to work for the mets, I doubt they'd higher so random person whos just in shape.

  • @Behindspace90 Please tell us in your infinite wisdom. You're an absolute moron. This stuff is science not "hit or miss". You may be genetically gifted or just young and full of testosterone so anything you do works for you. If you want to get THE MOST out of yourself you need a scientific approach. That's why people who know hire guys like Jeff. Because they know more. Where's your diploma.Oh right, you haven't gotten into high school yet.

  • @endri1994pl He has a program it's called AthLEAN X!. Go buy it!

These videos are the customers who already bought the program.

    Stop freeloading!

  • @endri1994pl

Don't buy anything from any one. :) Fitness is very simple and not complicated. People tend to overcomplicate things in order to sell something to you in which they unveil all "secrets".

But I'm not forcing you to do anything though; you have to make the choice for yourself: just gather as much information as you can. But please don't make the mistake of buying all these expensive things when you can find EVERYthing for free. Scooby1961 is just an example; choose for yourself. :)

  • @Behindspace90 Of course im not buying it.I learn some stuff from this guys.youtube videos are very helpful and enough to build some muscle.in addition there are many effective workout plans on the internet, but i just wanted to know his opinion.

  • i tried these, my forearms ached so bad

  • This guy needs to get rich. Thanks for the innovative workout. I can do the dumbbell version. It's sick!

  • this was hard, I love it! I can't wait to try it again.

  • lov u

  • WHAT thats the shit right there

  • as soon as im done running track in college i am signing up for Athlean-X. All these functional strength exercises he has in this program seem like they really challenge the body making a sick workout.

  • @MastaBrooks10 they are so fun. Highly recommend this program

  • any lower body wrk out?

  • Jeff you are so innovative man. always great videos buddy.

  • @justinmajor22 copy that! you and your body never get bored with Jeff's amazing workouts

  • muy bueno gracias

  • Did this exercise for years, but never one sided and/or with a dumbbell press. Thanks for bringing up such a great new variant!

  • i got a question about your program - the QFL exercises it says: 8x Through

does that means From Start to End End to Start or Start to End only?

  • Using this next back day. Nice one Jeff.

  • What is a good workout to train the posterior deltoid muscles without risking shoulder damage?

  • Another well demonstrated exercise set 1st class.....

  • would hyperextending your legs like that be straining on your joints, and eventually lead to complications later on?

Great video btw. Will try this once I get over this cold...

  • damn, i only clicked on dis cause i thought it said best black exercise

  • @yodaddyxx That would be do nothing and have superior genetics because of artificial selection. Big Penis, easy muscle growth, being black, get black people respect.... life is easy being black

  • @EonorHarry Except for the fact your black

  • I do the same with suspension training straps its brutal! Nice video thanks

  • 100 inverted rows ouch!

  • cant wait to try this out

  • He should say "More good stuff coming soon." at the end of one of his videos. Just t mess around.

  • You have great biceps man, but u need to work more on your chest.

  • @nevermoregg hahahaha you fucking kiddin me his chest is ripped and good looking ...

  • @broadcast3ful It doesn't pop out. Maybe its the lighting but his chest sucks compare to his overall body.

  • Athlean-X has a challenge to gage yourself on week four and then every couple of weeks after: 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats and 100 inverted rows (above video) record your time and then try to beat it next time. Push-ups, squats, sit-ups are ease! 100 inverted rows, not so much!

  • @titusibs that was my challenge today bro! that crap killed me!~

  • Jkin straight love to my nigga jeff

  • If u wanna start doin it grab the athelene x training programme?

Im doin it and it and I ain't grabbing shit

  • I have curves but I don't have any strength!

  • Good idea...crossfit has always incorporated this into their circuits and it's definitely a hard one.

  • you can put your feet on a chair to make it a little bit harder too.

  • whats the name of that song?

  • Wouldn't a one armed pullup do the same thing better?

  • wow..! thumbs up!

  • Awesome, thanks Jeff!! How many reps each side to do you recommend?

  • how much is the athlean program?

  • @zrox305 $67 for the regular program and $97 i think for the bonus stuff, i got the bonus, its greaaaat! I highly recommend getting either :)

  • This guy is insane! Totally going to incorporate this into my next back workout! Great stuff Jeff! :)

  • Just saying, you have killer biceps.

  • wow you always open my eyes to something new that i never thought of before!

  • What's wrong with the oldskool compound exercises?

Wrote me in at some channels, but every day i see the most weirdest things.

Is it really better for your body to do al kind of weird conbinations than the compound exercises?

  • @danscheer Jack Lalanne. Godfather of fitness. Beat Schwarzenagger in a pullup contest when he was twice as old as Arnold. As old school as you can get. He was doing fitness videos back in the days of black and white tv. He always recommended changing up your exercises monthly. Compound exercises are always good, but past a year or so, you should definitely start adding other exercises to your repertoire.

  • I wish u were my wrestling coach :/ I love my coach but he makes us workout our legs and to lil our upper body, which is reasonable cause in wrestling legs is extremely important but still.

  • This guy is absolutely amazing with his creativity, no one else even comes close, and i' ve seen most.

  • does it beter for pullups?

  • gonna add this to my workout.I'm always looking for better back exercises. jeff you're the best! btw those dumbell with bands curls I love and they really get the blood flowing!

  • 0. This is an advanced exercise.

    1. The standard double inverted row is with feet elevated by a bench.

    2. The focus of the exercise is on the scapula retractors and rear deltoid. Keep scapula retracted and chest touch the bar at top.

    3. The exercise is disproportionally harder on the biceps, elbow tendons and forearms than it is on the back. Even more so than any pullup variation.

    4. Not recommended for those with elbow tendonitis!

    5. Beginners will find eccentric pullups much more productive.

  • he makes it look so easy

  • Great advices, you have been of great help to me and my workout. Keep it up dude

  • notice how jeff always says..'one more' before his last rep. Do your set, then think Jeff - he would say 'one more' and then do one more! #growth

  • Hodge Twins should check this out. They hate the traditional BB Rows for the stress it puts on lower back

  • Comment removed

  • Guys, can anyone tell me how can we improvise that exercise if we dont have such thing show in the video.Cuz i couldnt think of it..

  • @broadcast3ful you could use a table - lie under it - but put something heavy on the other side to counter-balance and pull yourself up holding onto the lip on the table top. Can only do this for the first exercise :)

  • @davo00o could even get two chairs and place a barbell across the middle.

  • good video, jeff!

But what if i dont have a bar where i can pull my self on?

And I know about the inverted push ups but i cant do those. It hurts.

  • @Tjunproductions Dude, I live in a small apartment in a big city so I always go outdoors for my training. I go for a 3 mile run to a nearby park where I run sprints, do push-ups, cardio, abs etc. There is also a corner with climbing rigs for kids. I use those rigs for such pull-ups. My message basically is, improvise and use your surroundings, it's working for me. Cheers

  • how old are you?

  • So you want to do a one handed reverse row with one hand and a dumbell in the other, also extending the legs on the decent?

all this instead of standing bentover rows?

Anyway you do it you cant reach the weight you can with a barbell doing olympic rows...

  • I like the look of them shoes, anyone know what type of Nike they are??

  • When I do inverted rows, I feel it more in my biceps than my back. Am I doing something wrong?

  • @h2dude69 pull from elbows

  • The people who dislike this exercise obviously don't have a body like you! Thanks for another Awesome way to train!

    Aloha,

    Dayton

  • ive had athleanX for nearly a year now and im still learning a new exercise every week! and i had been working out for 4 years before i even stumbled on athleanX , this dude is on another level

  • Wtf i now train for 2 1/2 years and i look way better than this guy dunno what hes doing

  • @DaveMxC Pics and blood analysis or it didnt happend! x))

  • @DaveMxC Jeff is lean, strong and ripped, what better than that??? You my friend are what most people call as a jerk. You don't put down a fellow athlete, what your probably one of those couch potatoes who are only ripped when they post online.

  • @venktesh93 Any way to block such heroes-only-when-online...? Jeff is awesome!

  • what an exercise. i'm excited to try this.

  • Thanks

  • Oh lolol I already did this exercise :O

  • This is great, your combination of exercises are endless.

  • I use to do dese on my weight bench wen ever I got thru wit bench press n I never knew wat I was doin until a couple of months ago thnks Jeff

  • Hi Jeff can you post some new biceps workout WITHOUT EQUIPMENTS

  • @watcher835 underhand grip chin ups workout biceps. Any kind of pull up works your biceps for that matter.

  • When is your Boomerang effect program email being sent to the Athlean-X member? I'm keen to try it!

  • yeah, won't put mass with this exercise. I do these on the pullup bar with my legs tucked with different grips.

  • @stylezNout since when do rows not add mass?

  • @dlporter198 bodyweight rows won't add mass compared to using free weights.

  • i only ever see skinny wimps doing these

  • Great new challenge, I'll start doing it right away. Thanks, Jeff.

  • @HyrulianBroda yeah its great! freaking difficult but u get better :)

  • I like your new one armed versions of this exercise. Hadn't thought of that. I also like to do them with my legs higher and the same thing but on rings, and there's the version with legs off the floor and tucked or pointing up if you want to lift your whole bodyweight and work your core even more. Thanks for sharing!

  • whos young reese???

  • @sidthebrownkid and better yet why is he so cool?

  • @sidthebrownkid

    Old Reese son

  • @sidthebrownkid IT, because IT's called young reese( i dont actually know :P)

  • @sidthebrownkid whoever he is he's cool

  • @sidthebrownkid

Every one whos not doing it, apperently

  • @sidthebrownkid The guy who made the song, obviously. Use your thinking skills. Or Google. Is it really that hard to figure out?

    Mongoloids.

  • @sidthebrownkid i dunno but i hear he's pretty cool

  • This is why I purchased Athlean-X. Love the new challenges like this. Game changers. Take it from someone who has had spinal surgery. You won't find a better program out there for building lean muscle, and doing it safely.

  • jeff i really like your workouts and i raly wnt to gain some muscle but i also have ibs do you have any tips for people with ibs trying to pack on size????

  • what 5 excersices would you do for legs or even better, just calves that have eccentric and cocentric work?
