A little electronics basics here. Voltage is just a measure of force. Amperage is a measure of flow. Resistance is a measure of resistance to flow. The lower the resistance the more amperage. (The formula is actually Voltage = Amperage * Resistance). The battery capacity is how much amperage is available for a period of time. For example, using Shawn's quote of 180mAh for his 510, that means that if a resistor that allows 180mA (miliampiers) to flow (at the voltage of his 510)
his 510 would only last for 1 hour. (In reality that number isn't precise because of the change in voltage of the battery over time, but for this example it really doesn't matter.) With regards to the LR atomizer, because it has a lower resistance than the regular atomizer it will allow more amperage to flow, so the battery will be exhausted faster. Another side effect of the higher amperage flow (which is probably why it gives better vapors) is the LR atomizer will run hotter,
so if one uses a LR atomizer and isn't careful to keep it wet with e-juice the chances to burning it out is higher. Just requires a bit of care. (Hopefully this 3-part message threads properly for anyone reading...)
Hey Shawn you should check into it but LR attys should most of the time be used with big battery mods that take a 18650 or a 14500 battery, LR attys can drain a 510 or ego battery fast or short them out.Just trying to help Pete.................
