You don't even need swap magic. Just block your sensors (if you don't care about your waranty) and after the disk speeds back up wait 2 seconds and swap your GH3 disc with your custom..

While that does work for some people, it makes your games break faster and it doesn't always work.

You need swap magic to boot any DVD(ps2) game. You can do the swap with an original game for cd(ps1) games only.

make sure the sensors you are blocking with watever you are using haven't come off. This is the only reason I can give you right now.

if u have a slim ps2, swap magic then gh3. if fat ps2. exactly the same

well some people say it doesn't work, and people claim it to work. It's half-in-half. I assume you are talking about HDD. Well it might work. PM me to confirm that.

no you cannot. Look at a regular playstation 2 game notice that it says this [DVD] [(-)] [ROM]

That means DVD-R not DVD+R. A DVD+R does not work. If you want to waste your money on countless dvd+rs, you can. A DVD-R is more usefule and be used for anything such as DVD movies, data storage, ps2 games, xbox games, and wii games. Some ps2 games say compact disc on them. in rare conditions do you find them. oh thanks! Could you tell me approximately how many seconds after the playstation logo flashes I should do that swap? I've tested it in at different times and it didn't work but I didn't want to scratch anything.

The sensor blocking method does not work, we at THE GUITAR HEROES website have officially confirmed. The SBM only works with an exact iso copy of the disc not a custom disc. If you want to waste dvds you can but it will never work with a custom disc.

alright I'm just going by what people are saying... Thanks though at least now I know not to waste any other disks, for the record I've only made one. And as for the whole disk thing goes, I can use dvd+r's for the gh2 customs but not gh3 right?

no you can not use dvd+rs on any ps2 game. Aproximately 90% of PS@ games are dvd-roms.

I don't know......????? I've alway heard you have to use dvd-r only. Some games you can burn onto a dvd+r but dvr-r is reccomended. Swap is available cheapest at Keepgaming.

no you can only use swap magic, HDD, or mod chip to play custom guitar hero "3" songs, the sensor blocking method will not work. Many have wasted disc after disc thinking they have done something wrong when they copied trying to do the SBM. Use a DVD-R only. It can be any brand, but I suggest SONY.
