Ok..You won this game so I cannot take that away from you.
But early in this game I just note that you moved bishop to E2 in order to stop
'any knight G4s' .. as you said. But knight G4 came and you didnt take to be a piece up!! It makes me wonder!! Cause after bishop take knight and bishop take bishop your opponent would be a piece down after queen takes bishop on G4.
I think you often times stress out when you are playing GMs. I remember a GM (I forgot who) said a good move is the same when a 1200 plays it as when a GM plays it. So with that theory you can beat a GM if you make good moves and avoid bad ones. There is no doubt you are capable of this because I have watched many of your games and you are a very strong player. Give yourself some credit. Oh and I love your videos!
Kings gambit is a bloody hard opening to pull off. However, it is extremely exciting and although I usually get crushed, I find that I learn a lot tactically and defensively from those games.
Haha, wow nice win. This is a really good game. It amazes me how the grandmaster was playing so strong even at the end of the game. I would've fallen to pieces at that point and he kept on making counter threats and stuff like that. Tricky chess
@Robinpostal2 just a side note, i once played a game where i was white and in around 36 something moves i had zugzwang, something where every move leads to defeat lol. It was in the middlegame thats rare. But nice win beating GM Kingscrusher :D
the exchange sac at move 28 is the real gem in this game i think. it moves an apparently strong but speculative attack into a very principled pawn march.
@kingscrusher I'd love to know more about chess but this is the sort of thing I come unstuck with. You say you need to avoid Qh4+, but what is the problem in that scenario of just playing g3?
@pmanngw The point is that after Qh4+ black is winning the piece back (he now attacks g4 twice) and white is on the defensive. After g3 black can play fxg3 at some point and white's king is looking very exposed. So, 7.Bxg4 doesn't win any material and screws up white's position.
Very nice Congrats! I found it a bit odd you were haveing so much trouble deciding on move 28. Couldn't you have easily just taken his rook on f8 instead of sac'ing the exchange?
I'm probably missing some tactic most likely, because it did work out in the end and your pawns became very potent. Maybe thats what the sac was aimed to do? Give you a nice pawn chain, and most likely work your way to promotion?
Either way Well done! Thanks for uploading as always KC!
@herrahuh Yeah what was the story there? I watched part one of one game, it was getting very exciting, then I realised there was no part 2 and by the time I refreshed part one was gone as well!?
Does this game establishes the soundness of the King's Gambit? Nf6-c6-d5 is the most critical defence against 2. Bc4, yet Kingscrusher quickly gets the pawn back and gains f-file pressure. You were right, it IS a good position, sort of like fighting the Caro-Kahn EXCEPT that Black has a weakness on f7. Which is quickly exploited into a win.
I am really pleased with this game and thank you all for your kind comments!. Please feel free to tweet this game if you are on Twitter. Or post a link to it on your wall if you are on Facebook. Youtube provide some sharing links under the video - please share this video with your friends!
This was the best game from yesterday. I think it is highly entertaining and dramatic - maybe it will encourage more people to play chess if they saw how dramatic chess can be.
38...Rgxg7, which you thought wins a pawn, is actually a blunder! Can you see why?
39.fxg7!! and Black cannot take 39...Rxf2 because 40.Rxf2 Qg8 41.e6! and Black has to give up his queen for a pawn, leaving White a whole rook and a knight up in material.
Kingscrusher with a crushing King's Gambit against a GM opponent! Very exciting game. I just had the feeling throughout that the gm would come with some amazing resource to stomp back, but you kept your head despite the nerves. awesome.

I am wondering... What was wrong with 28 Qf6 insted of Rf6. I think you'd gain a piece there...
Anyway, I think that this was a great game!

@Delajoyason: After queen H4 check the bishop's dropping and then your queen's under attack with few places to go.
