  • Your commentary is like whispers and you aren't sharing at least %50 of your thought process, things like Qh4+. You should focus on these to make better videos. Just my opinion.

  • bad opening

  • The most exciting Kings Gambit game I've seen you play yet. Such a beautiful pawn structure coming out of the opening.

  • yes i like your commentating

but the whispering should be taken up a notch or two

  • Brilliant game, I don't personally like the kings gambit but will have to give it a new look

  • 9:34 my favorite part haha

  • this is my favorite kc game

  • I am wondering... What was wrong with 28 Qf6 insted of Rf6. I think you'd gain a piece there...

Anyway, I think that this was a great game!

  • your games are so entertaining

  • 28-Since the Bishop is pinned to the Queen N-c5 is a move to consider. Great game, fantastic comentary!

  • How sleepy can a GM be????

Ok..You won this game so I cannot take that away from you.

But early in this game I just note that you moved bishop to E2 in order to stop

'any knight G4s' .. as you said. But knight G4 came and you didnt take to be a piece up!! It makes me wonder!! Cause after bishop take knight and bishop take bishop your opponent would be a piece down after queen takes bishop on G4.

What a sleepy GM!!!! I love your videos though.

  • @gunuffimoo There is Qh4+ to regain the piece

  • @gunuffimoo noob

  • I think you often times stress out when you are playing GMs. I remember a GM (I forgot who) said a good move is the same when a 1200 plays it as when a GM plays it. So with that theory you can beat a GM if you make good moves and avoid bad ones. There is no doubt you are capable of this because I have watched many of your games and you are a very strong player. Give yourself some credit. Oh and I love your videos!

  • Kings gambit is a bloody hard opening to pull off. However, it is extremely exciting and although I usually get crushed, I find that I learn a lot tactically and defensively from those games.

  • 8:09 rook G7! "ouch" - that was so funny - your quality kingscrusher!

  • 8:08 - You sound like you are having a heart attack because of Rxg7

  • Zero people missed the like button.

  • "I haven't played this for at least a day" KGA for you (Kings Gambit Annomyous)

  • really interesting game Tryfon, well done beating a GM:-) keep up the good work!

  • @Delajoyason: After queen H4 check the bishop's dropping and then your queen's under attack with few places to go.

  • this was a great game, but how come at 1:36, you didn't take on g4?

  • Great win, well earned KC.

  • Haha, wow nice win. This is a really good game. It amazes me how the grandmaster was playing so strong even at the end of the game. I would've fallen to pieces at that point and he kept on making counter threats and stuff like that. Tricky chess

  • Why did black Ka8? in the middle of the game?

  • @Pudersepp probably a waiting move

  • @Robinpostal2 just a side note, i once played a game where i was white and in around 36 something moves i had zugzwang, something where every move leads to defeat lol. It was in the middlegame thats rare. But nice win beating GM Kingscrusher :D

  • at 7:06 was nc5 a good move?

  • This guy (GM Holzke) beat Kasparov in a simul!

  • the exchange sac at move 28 is the real gem in this game i think. it moves an apparently strong but speculative attack into a very principled pawn march.

  • Awesome game!

  • Yes Yes Yes!! I put this one on my Facebook page. Well played.

  • "YESSSSSS"

  • Quick question , why didnt u take 7 Bxg4?

  • @Master8laster Qh4+ wins the piece back

  • @Master8laster It is often important to avoid Qh4+

  • @kingscrusher I'd love to know more about chess but this is the sort of thing I come unstuck with. You say you need to avoid Qh4+, but what is the problem in that scenario of just playing g3?

  • @pmanngw The point is that after Qh4+ black is winning the piece back (he now attacks g4 twice) and white is on the defensive. After g3 black can play fxg3 at some point and white's king is looking very exposed. So, 7.Bxg4 doesn't win any material and screws up white's position.

  • great game, grats

  • Great game!

  • How do you get good at blitz chess???? My blitz rating is like a measley 1300 about 600 points less than my normal rating.

  • bravo KC, bravo!

  • Very nice Congrats! I found it a bit odd you were haveing so much trouble deciding on move 28. Couldn't you have easily just taken his rook on f8 instead of sac'ing the exchange?

I'm probably missing some tactic most likely, because it did work out in the end and your pawns became very potent. Maybe thats what the sac was aimed to do? Give you a nice pawn chain, and most likely work your way to promotion?

Either way Well done! Thanks for uploading as always KC!

  • Congrats!

  • Love the genuine happiness in your voice when you win! Great game.

  • Superb game. I am very sorry to see so many games from yesterday removed??

  • @herrahuh Yeah what was the story there? I watched part one of one game, it was getting very exciting, then I realised there was no part 2 and by the time I refreshed part one was gone as well!?

  • great game kc:-)

  • great game kc:-)

  • Stellar performance and a win to remember!

  • Frank Holzke beat Kasparov in 1988.

  • why didnt u take the Knight on g4?

  • @DaltonMoti I think black plays Qh4

  • You crushed him KC ! You crushed him. well played.

  • Very well done KC. Congratulations

  • CRUSHING ! XD

  • WOW WOW WOW!

  • Does this game establishes the soundness of the King's Gambit? Nf6-c6-d5 is the most critical defence against 2. Bc4, yet Kingscrusher quickly gets the pawn back and gains f-file pressure. You were right, it IS a good position, sort of like fighting the Caro-Kahn EXCEPT that Black has a weakness on f7. Which is quickly exploited into a win.

  • Great!!

  • Well played. Congrats on your GM victory :)

This was the best game from yesterday. I think it is highly entertaining and dramatic - maybe it will encourage more people to play chess if they saw how dramatic chess can be.

  • 38....Rgxg7 is a blunder just take it with fxg7 =P

  • @sodayodadude1 No, because that's losing the queen.

  • @RamHammer0 Why need your queen when you can make another? Fxg7 Rxf2 Rxf2 and any way the black queen tries to stop f pawn you play e6 and its gg.

  • got him!

  • am i missing some long-range strategem or could KC just take the knight for free on move 7ven?

  • @krawiecplugawiec If 7. Bxg4 I think black could play Qh4+ and grab the bishop, so it would just be a trade.

  • @djangothecat

you're right, including further troubles for KC, thx

  • Comment removed

  • 38...Rgxg7, which you thought wins a pawn, is actually a blunder! Can you see why?

39.fxg7!! and Black cannot take 39...Rxf2 because 40.Rxf2 Qg8 41.e6! and Black has to give up his queen for a pawn, leaving White a whole rook and a knight up in material.

    Crushing.

  • Wonderful play! My hat is off to you kings!

  • You are on to a good thing with Quality, moving leaps and bounds in your games

  • Yes! this was so exciting!! Thanks!

  • awesome win

  • YES!!! the losing streak finally ends! against a gm as well haha VERY WELL DONE

  • Kingscrusher with a crushing King's Gambit against a GM opponent! Very exciting game. I just had the feeling throughout that the gm would come with some amazing resource to stomp back, but you kept your head despite the nerves. awesome.

  • Yes! Yes! Very exciting indeed! Winning a GM with a King's Gambit! Bravery pays off today!

  • i love how your goto against GMs is the kings gambit

  • awesome
