A lot of people don't understand how simple the methods are to create something like this. The camera shake is all post effects and not really a hand held video camera. The image is actually a still photograph, and the tower is cut out and animated, masked etc. The birds are added separately, possible 3D elements rendered with a transparent BG.

It's quite simple but effective.
