well, we already got milton bradely as a part time DH/LF. and we just got today ryan garko as a part time 1B/DH.
idk. i dont think we need one hr power guy now because i think we have a a few guys that have developing power like kotchman, gutierrez, lopez, garko, (20+ HR), and we have griffey and bradley (can get 20+ HR). we have moore that has power. so idk. i think we're going to the playoffs this year.

Power shhmower. what the mariners need besides great defense is consistent hitting. it does not necessarily need to come in the form of bombs.

sure we're going to have the best defensive team in baseball but we need some pop.

agreed, but don't forget we also have a lot of good on base hitters, ichiro, chone figgins, jack wilson, jose lopez, now casey cotchmen.
plus jose lopez has potential to be a 25+ home run hitter and cotchmen and gutierez both have potential to be 20+ home run hitters.
so sure we'll have the best defense, but we are also going to have a pretty strong offense.

i know lopez is a 25 + HR guy, but if we're going to ship him off, then we need a power threat.
i still think we need Branyan, but if we dont get him (even as a DH), then i think we need to sign a power hitter.
