1:01..."dancing like a flame..." that's the one point in the song he hits that A minor clearly. If I were him I would conserve my voice by not even ATTEMPTING to do some of the short screams. He's not off time though; he's attempting to conserve his voice by starting lines late, etc. Every singer does this. But he shouldn't try some of those short screams; they are wimpy and just weaken his voice for when he needs it.

Two things a singer shouldn't do: drugs, and get older. :)

It's silly to expect to hear live what you hear on a studio recoding. Even in the early 90's, when Ian was still in his prime, he didn't sing this in concert like you hear it on the CD. In the studio they do pitch adjustments, they can "cut & paste" a re-take over a bad "patch" of song, they can artificially extend a note, add chorus, delay, & other effects, etc. Plus, in this recording he's, what, in his mid-40's?

But to be fair, his voice hasn't held out as well as some others. Go easy on him!

@touffmorrison Sadly, you're right. Whatever the reason was, his voice on this song is pretty much gone. Just as 'Rain' on this very concert. Which highlights the problem of the vocalist, who sooner or later is the one really affecting live performances, as their voices tend to go away. Something that does not affect this bad the other members.

Come on guys, Give Ian some slack. His voice isnt going to sound the same as 20 years ago or like on the album. At least he gets out most of the words in this one. And doesnt cut off in the "FIIIRRRREEEE" part so much. Everything else is all good. Ian should perhaps run on the tredmill a bit, to build up his cardio, and therefore have more breath to sing.

All in all, a good attempt, Ian needs some improving.
