  • thank you...thank you...thank you....

  • yank rachell is my granddaddy and singing runs threw r family

  • Just purchased & listened to. Superb effort. Thanks for the great music.

  • Great cd, your take on Brownsville Blues is one of my favorites tracks, well done!

  • It's not "RAY-chell" it's pronounced "ra-SHELL" by Yank and everyone in Indy who knew him.

  • Not necessarily so. Sheen Rachell says that people down south would say "ray-chell" and people up north would say "ra-shell." I've heard both used, including by Yank.

  • Jim,

I already purchased this tribute to Yank before I caught this video....but I have to say, it certainly would have made me get off my *** and buy it if I hadn't already!

Your video presentation was great and I couldn't agree more with your comments.

So PEOPLE >>>>>> BUY THIS CD!!!!

Google Yank Rachell Tribute and you will find it. Do it now. ;-)

  • The link to purchase is in the sidebar to the right. The site accepts all major credit cards and Pay-Pal. I ordered mine today.

Jim Richter, I appreciate your compassion for situations where originators and innovators of great music get forgotten in our fast paced money driven world. I love great music and respect the roots from which it grows.

    Peace through music !

    Aloha from Hawaii,

    Thomas

  • Got it..........LOVE it!!!

There's a life time of music on this CD

Thanks Jim for all that you do for us mandolin pickers.

  • I absolutely LOVE this CD. I listen to almost daily!! I highly recommend it!!! Thanks Jim!

  • i am going to get a copy soon. thanks man.

  • I listened through your entire commentary on this and can't NOT buy this CD. Very well said, definitely from the heart. Thanks for doing this, and for taking the time to post this video with various song snippets, which is quite a bit of work in itself (more work than just posting a song video, I'm guessing). I've only recently learned about blues mandolin, first by discovering you on YouTube, and now with you echoing some things I'd heard about Yank Rachell. I'm off to buy.
