Catfishies are actually good, because they bring life to the web. Bah! Imagine this guy's life before Megan? Seems he had a lot of time on his hands to lurk and dwell on something so fictitious. How could someone be that ignorant, ah, yet, and well, he was not. He lived for it, he knew the silver lining of the cloud would be that of a fake. As would most that are on the web, one would only hope. I cannot believe anyone would fall for any of it!

Catfish is incredibly inaccurate. The fascinating and awkwardly hilarious social-media fraud documentary definitely contains a disturbing final act, but it is in no way a pulse-pounding horror movie as the misleading trailer would have you believe. But that’s how the movie was marketed for its late summer release last year. Unfortunately, it probably hurt the film’s reception at the time.

The catfish nip at the cod, keeping them moving, and preserving the quality of their meat.

Otherwise, their meat becomes mush from lack of activity. With the movie, it is used as a metaphor for people keeping you on your toes in life.

@yeenyeen07 The first half of the trailer is really accurate. It's about a guy who meets a girl on Facebook who turns out to be not quite who she says she is. On the surface, that's pretty much all there is to it. Essentially, it's about online relationships and the problems they come with. It's not a thriller, there's one or two suspenseful scenes but the payoff is not scary,but rather very emotional and somewhat disturbing. Your best bet is just see it without expectations or preconceptions.

Angela does have two disabled sons. and the reason the movie is called Catfish is because Angela's husband is speaking in one scene about people and referring to a certain type of person as a "Catfish".
