  • The Greens policies are based on the first paragraph of Herbert Marcuse 1965 essay "Repressive Tolerance" I suggest you all google that and actually read it.

  • BAA BAAA not even worth comment .

  • The greens, just like the labor and liberal parties are idiots. Marijuana cures cancer. Fucking cancer!! Search up the facts if you are even thinking of being an idiot and telling me it doesn't, cause it does. And really drugs don't stop circulating around anyways and well were not children, but when illegal it makes it easier to get out to kids. And with that said makes it easier for them to get into gangs (it depends who you meet, most dealers are alright). End forced conformity for fuck sake

  • The voters of Melbourne fell for it . . . and now look what's happened (starts with a 'T').

  • Greens what a joke

  • Let's move Australia forward... not like that's Julia's saying or anything

  • Anyone who votes the Australian Greens should be charged with treason, for attempting to destroy our great nation the majority of their policies are a joke. Have a look at point 42 in security what do they think the military is? Their policies on work place and environment are there to strip companies of every dollar they earn this equals unemployment, their high taxes won't support Australians though, they will just bring in more immigrants. F*** OFF "Australian" Greens.

  • @thebluntvoice economically, i disagree with the greens however your comment reflects a profound level of immaturity. just because you disagree with a party does not make them 'traitors'.

  • @AussiePolitics dont come crying to me when Australia loses its identity and we start singing Waltzing Matilda to the hymn of the soviet union for voting in these clowns!

  • @thebluntvoice wow you really do have a paranoid mentality don't you? its easy to get passionate about politics when you can view the world in a simplistic black and white way where one side is always evil and the other is always good. you sound exactly like I did when I was a teenager after years of brainwashing to hate all 'lefties'.

  • @AussiePolitics if you want simplistic views visit the greens website

  • @thebluntvoice Its pretty difficult to get more simplistic than saying that if australia doesnt follow your ideology it will turn into a defunct state - the soviet union. economically i disagree with the greens but in general socially their policies are more pro-freedom than the labor or liberal parties. your type of hysterical views crop up so often amongst some of my friends in the young libs. all i can say is it must be nice to view the world in such a simplistic 'us vs them' manner.

  • @AussiePolitics I only like Liberal at the moment cause Bob Katter is keeping them honest, but both the Liberals and the Labor have failed Australia by selling us out. The greens would be even worse coming from a man who wants to shut down Australias coal and composite materials industry would destroy Australia, not to mention how do the greens expect to provide all there goals whilst destroying the mining industry and sending the remains of Australian manufacturing overseas.

  • @thebluntvoice bob katter is keeping them honest? oh really and on what evidence do you believe that? bob katter just rants about free trade being evil. he's just as left-wing as the greens because he'd love to shut down out economy and have a little closed market.

  • @AussiePolitics wow you really do have a paranoid mentality don't you? He just wants us to be self sufficient, all nations want to be self sufficient it doesn't make them communists.

  • @AussiePolitics not cutting off imports I understand the consequences of closing international trade, We should be self-suffcient when it comes to food (I should have verified that) due to our standards being high have you seen the cheap imported shit coming from asia that comes through New Zealand. Thats why I support Katter our Aussie farmers are the best they deserve more. Secondly I do believe the Australian greens would destroy Australia and there is reason for that check there policies.

  • @thebluntvoice I always find it interesting how every sector thinks it deserves to be protected from imports because they're so essential but everyone else should compete because that gives us cheaper prices and products. you hear it from manufacturing, the retail sector, farmers, pretty much everyone doesn't want to compete but thinks everyone should. if the 'crap' coming in from asia is as bad as you say, then people would be willing to pay for aussie quality.

  • @thebluntvoice I disagree with the greens policies because I think they were a bad idea but are you going to ignore the irony of you calling me paranoid when you make such extreme hyperbolic comments? I suggest you look at katters trade policies and compare them to the greens - you'll find you have more in common there than with any of the major parties.

  • @thebluntvoice I also find it rather amusing how you accuse me of being paranoid when you are the one who made the hyperbolic claim the greens would 'destroy australia'. its funny because as soon as I state that Katter is driven by failed ideology from a century ago I'm the one who is 'paranoid'.

  • The greens are taking Australia backwards!

  • If the Greens had their way, government would have its hands in EVERY little thing we did. The ultimate nanny state. Or, in other words, a father knows best dictatorship.

  • Brown you dirty animal!

  • You had it right when you were going backwards

  • the carbon tax explained:

Swan: Hey Julia, the Governments broke because we wasted all our money on stuff like the home insulation and the national broadband network. What should we do?

Juliar: How bout we make a shitload more money by introducing a huge tax?

Swan: But people won't like that

Juliar: Just say its to stop global warming. Then we'll get so much support, even from rich ass celebritys who run around in private jets and roll royces

Swan: Great idea! Lets call it the CARBON TAX!

  • @yaketysaks yes, because a national broadband network that will support jobs in the future in an increasingly online world is wasting money.

So many jobs are being conducted online. And the NBN is helping us compete on a global market.

  • simple, you like the greens = you love gun control = you LOVE facism

    let me back this up:

"This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead." (Adolf Hitler: Chancellor's Speech, 1935)

  • How can we have renewable energy to replace coal powerd fire stations when solar power works at optimum output 4 hours a day, what about clouds or dirty glass. What when there is no wind. Greens how can you stop upgrading power stations when there is no clear alternative.

  • The greens don't deserve to be in parliament cos they are commies with shit economic policies

  • Fk the Greens fkn Commy lying bullshit people.up your bum you filthy Marxist Gay rights Communists and Fk Joooolia This country is a lost cause!

  • @megadak123 Then leave - for fucks sake leave us you sad little maggot

  • @uptheproverbialcreek Alot of people will leave this sorry sack of shit country the longer these Gay Extremists are running the country anyway alot more people are feeling it in the pocket and I hope you are too you little Commy freak go stick it up your ass

  • @MsTsarbomba Best you run along and play with your toys. People with your mental instability really shouldn't try to think - it just wastes oxygen.

  • @MsTsarbomba You ask a lot of people to shove things up their ass? Tell me, have you ever thought about just admitting your gay?

  • @uptheproverbialcreek You did not answer the question I left in your message box why do you support Gay extremists and Communists??? Come on now think a little and tell everyone cocklover

  • @MsTsarbomba My my you are an angry little one!!! I would feel sorry for you if I could only stop laughing at your sad attempts to convince people you are anything other than the human sewage you are. Oh and by the way its very revealing that you get so upset at being told to come out of the closet... Just admit it kid

  • @uptheproverbialcreek Come on dickhead answer the question and tell all,all the policy's that you support? Why do you vote the Gay extremists and socialists like Bob Brown? Bob Brown admirer!

  • @MsTsarbomba Oh dear you sound a little upset there kid - do us all a favour and come out of the closet.

  • @uptheproverbialcreek yeap imupset at little fagget bitches like yourself who wouldnt know shit and who id love to deck over a political argument, not that you have any you just listen to your dumbass Labor Green loving parents and wouldnt know your ass from your elbow, now fuck off upyourproverbialcreek

  • @MsTsarbomba...... I knew you were just a whining little kid, now you have gone and spat the dummy which shows just how childish and ignorant you really are. Keep it up kid - with losers like you opposing them the greens look comparatively awesome!!!

  • @uptheproverbialcreek Yea keep listening to your dumbass parents who love the ABC and Socialist Alliance keep toeing the line you little bitch

  • @MsTsarbomba Need a tissue do we?

  • @uptheproverbialcreek What else do you stick uptheproverbialcreek?

  • @MRMILO57 because every left leaning political parties win elections by railing against capitalism.

  • @sinceremaura ....and yet Victorian state election did the opposite to your claim.

Capitalism does not equal greed, if you contribute to society, you get rewarded. What can be fairer than that?

Capitalism is one of mans greatest achievements!..look at the happiness it has and is giving billions of people.

  • This state election, I'm voting Green, and I'm seriously considering becoming a party member.

  • Way to Change the world Bob!,Yeah lets open negotiations with Drug Dealers!,Send you with a Chocalate doughnut!,Make your husband! a widow/widower or is that all going to change to!

  • @TheWicksy1971 Let's open negotiations with drug dealers? Funny....considering that Ethane Hydroxide,Tri-METHYL-Xanthine,nicotine & Pharmaceutical Drug Cartels are already welcomed with open arms by ALL political parties as well as being welcomed & backed by law enforcement, sport, fashion, celebrity, media etc. 34,000 legal drug deaths per year........but I take it you're only against 'illicits'? Newsflash Wicksy! Drug Apartheid does NOT work! ABUSE IS THE PROBLEM,NOT THE DRUG CHOICE.

  • Lol, why would you vote for the Greens? All it is, is a vote for a Labor and their policies would mean a 50% tax on mining, close all coal-fired electricity stations (which produce all of our electricity), enforce a carbon tax which would push up electricity prices and raise income tax, they're a disgrace.

  • @lordtaverner Please learn how our electoral system works. A vote for party A is not a vote for party B. Thank you.

  • the greens are stupid comme bastards.

  • @whessly @Thylveo Socialism came close to crippling our economy and the unions held Britain to ransom not for working class struggle but for ideological self-indulgence back in the 1960's and 70's. We were lucky to have a women like Thatcher step in and help pick our country from our knees. A vote for the Greens was a vote for Marxism, socialism and environmental fundamentalism that will come close to destroying your country.

  • @pariswannabe02 brilliantly said.

  • Pretentious? Moi?

  • You Greens are just a little bit SCARY .. in that you are merely a fringe party of PROTEST, only. Moreover, you are immature politically .. your policies are incomplete & are impractical in many cases, despite looking good in theory .. on-paper. Trouble is .. THAT'S where many of em'll stay. Worst of all .. is that you folks are a lightning rod .. which attracts to it EVERY fringe LOONEY .. even creaky old outdated communists .. & more than one elected member of your party is one of those.

  • @colindominy I agree extremists on both sides of politics both left and right are scary

  • the election.. dlasdhnd;askldheuibciuhlfljkehluewdlbhaskjdfs.

  • I think it is great that the parliament has ended up like this

I reckon it will be good for australia

real thinkers here, not a bunch of idiots parroting party spin

Bandt shouldn't be in the mix. He's just an idiot parroting green spin....not one ounce of quality, depth or intelligence.

Clearly the Greens don't believe in something bigger than themselves-

  • @bunny72805 @Thylveo Socialism came close to crippling our economy and the unions held Britain to ransom not for working class struggle but for ideological self-indulgence back in the 1960's and 70's. We were lucky to have Thatcher step in and help pick our country from our knees. A vote for the Greens was a vote for Marxism, socialism and environmental fundamentalism that will come close to destroying your country. I'm sorry mate but once you start taxing the rich, the nation goes poorer.

  • @pariswannabe02 Just how does taxing those who have more to give those who have nothing make the nation go poorer? Where is logic in that?

  • @pariswannabe02

You mean like the US 'golden era' where tax rates for the rich were very high, even 90% for some years? Or inversely with ragonomics (G.W Bush thought he would try it again) where the theory didn't fit with the reality?

Unions can be punitive to business, but they have delivered some good to society in an age where people were essentially expendable.

But I think colindominy below puts it best.

  • I see a national re-vote lurking!

  • What frightens me more than anything in recent memory is 10 percent of the population voted green, while Greens are just extreme Labor, in 3 years will the Coalition be able to save Oz or will it be to late as our environmentally aware country becomes third world?

  • @Inconvenientruths SMOKE WEED EVERYDAY

  • the comments below, ladies and gents, are from people who vote.

  • i like the greens policies, i voted for the greens in the senate, but the greens royaly stuffed labour this election. i know the carbon emissions scheme wasnt the best, but blocking it really hurt labour this election. the greens are claiming victory? of what exactly? you control the senate, so the liberals wont get their terrible policies implemented, but no good ones are gonna come. im a uni student and labour was improving universities, and provide more financial support for students

  • @liquidreven, now what? liberals dont give 2 hoots for students that dont live in toorak, or who didnt go to privert grammer schools! all i can see is the simillarity the greens have to the democrats in england, who put their own interests before that of the country! and backstabed labour for their own interests! if it goes down to the primary vote on who can form government, and that tool abbot (aka rogger rabbit) gets in, im never gonna vote greens again. 3 years from now is to late to help me

  • The Greens : a mere 'Protest Party' at present. NOT a serious, full-on coalition-type political party. Sure, they have done very well in the Election Result of 21st Aug. However, it is ONLY because a signif element of Voting Oz said "A Pox on BOTH Your Houses' to the 2 major parties. That's fair enough. BUT - what I'd like to see is a groundswell emergence of a REGIONAL AUSTRALIA political party .. because in the next 10-15 yrs, we're going to see massive baby-boomer exodus from the big cities.

  • Abbott and Gillard are like two monkeys flinging shit at one another. Ironically their policies aren't really much different. They might be throwing different brands of shit, but it still smells like shit to me.

    I'm voting for Greens!

  • A bigger bunch of dreamy impractical pull dicks ya couldn't hope to meet. Look boys and girls, watch carefully, Uncle Bob will show you how ya drop the soap for Australia - I'm an expert!!. - These idiots would like to take all of us back to horse-drawn subsistence hippy farming. They give the word 'Green' a bad name. Yeah lets grind the economy to a fucked up argumentative standstill and party like its 1599.

  • @fargonebewdy couldn't agree more, they sure do have the wool pulled over some people eyes, they don't have any policies regarding running the country, all they do is protest about green issues, that's all they have, anyone can do that, and every green vote now goes to labor,so what a waste of time voting Green,Labor have no decent policies and are taking us into deeper and deeper dept, they are a shambles. The Libs would have walked in but for the Green vote, undemogratic.

  • It's funny how before elections, there is a wave of personal attacks on Green supporters. Guess the status-quo fears change.

  • If you like shooting, fishing, 4WDing, eating food and using electricity then think long and hard before u vote for GREEN policies.

  • @nibblez1222 The greens drive cars, live in houses made with timber, wear leather, eat fish and use electricity, only the wealthy politicians will be able to afford to live a comfortable life, we wont,so stock up on Candles or oil lamps,as thats the way we are heading.

  • Bob Brown wants to reduce our proud defence force.

    Traitorous scum.

  • Vote for this mob at your peril! Mind you there are plenty of dumb shits out there who will, believing that they are helping to create a 'warm, fuzzy, feel good' society. Get out of the comfort of your coastal dwellings and check out the REAL Australia in the bush and see the impact that double standard Labor policies (in power thanks to the Greens) are having. Check out the bureaucratic bullshit that is slowly destroying the unique township of Andamooka thanks to Olympic Dam (Uranium mining)

  • For the House of Representatives voting slip you must put a number next to each candidate starting at 1 for your first choice and the numbers progressing until each square is filled. Anything else your vote will be "informal" (not counted at all).

The Senate slip permits you to vote EITHER by placing a 1 above the line OR numbering every square sequentially below the line. Anything else and your vote will be "informal" (not counted at all).

Don't be fooled by misleading comments here!

  • I wish all you guchi socialists and hypocrits that support the GREENS would grow a brain someday and stop listening to your daily dose of propaganda from your GREEN heroes.

  • And people laugh at the yanks for believing their own press.

These cunts are no better than student politicians who treasured their poster of Che Guavara (or whatever the fuck his name was) on their bedroom wall.

  • I wonder what Australians the Greens think they represent. I'll tell you: gullible, left-leaning underachievers who casually turn a blind eye to reality. The shame of it is the pestilence their policies will visit on us must be worn by everyone.

They are the most unhigned, hypocritical, unethical, unrealistic, clawing scumbags to have walked the earth. They actually make Gillard's mob of mutants look good.

  • The greens want division, chaos, fear, confusion, hate, people against people, children against parents, women against men, men against men, women against women, political parties against political parties to deconstruct society.

They want to create a new power base, the only way to do that is to destroy our way of life!

  • @MRMILO57 Rather than ranting, why not say something intelligent that is actually supported by something/someone.

  • @hollybp ......the greens are to blame for all the chaos and discord in Australian politics in the last 3 years....planting the seed of climate change scare in peoples minds, while Labour and the Liberal/Nationals fight it out in parliament, Brown and you creepy greenies sat back and smirked!

Well welcom to the real world, now you will feel hatred!

  • The Greens want to lower the age of consent to 14

    THE GREENS SUPPORT PAEDOPHELIA

  • @MrAntiFarLeft

Lol. Where on earth does it say that? Have they said it somewhere I can read it/hear it and you can link to? I'm genuinely curious. If you look at their policies regarding children, the closest they come to talking about lowering the age of consent is when they say one of their goals is to lower the VOTING age limit to 16 (Ug. Bad idea.). Without proof, this whole 'pedophilia' thing sounds more like ignorance mixed with fear mongering to me.

  • @Wolfenfly fear mongering huh....what like the " climate change " fear mongering?

  • @MrAntiFarLeft

*shrug* Eh. Your opinion. Climate change is a touchy subject. You are entitled to your opinion. But if you don't believe in climate change because you think there's no proof and it's just fear mongering, then I'm sure you'll agree that providing facts and evidence is important to back up any claim. So. Were you going to link me to where you heard the Greens supported pedophilia?

  • @Wolfenfly heard it plenty of times , most recently from Brian Wilshire on 2GB , he is on air now if you would like to take it up with him.

I support a cleaner greener enviroment with a low population...i just oppose green extremists like Bob Brown and his ilk.

  • @MrAntiFarLeft

But where does Mr. Wilshire get HIS information from? Can he verify it?

I'm not trying to start a fight. I just find it irritating when people start saying 'Oh Greens are evil because of something they've heard but can't back up.' Or 'Don't vote for Tony Abbott because of an unsupported wildly ignorant claim.' I prefer informed, intelligent voting, without listening to unsupported claims.

  • @Wolfenfly im not sure of the original source but ive heard it several times and the Greens being a medium / far left party then its easily believable.

  • @MrAntiFarLeft

I don't understand how it's 'easily believable.' The Greens, according to the political compass (Google "political compass" to see what I mean. That's my reference for this.) are centre-left. Not really as extreme as I (and everyone else) actually thinks- just more left-wing in relation to the other parties who are actually father from the centre, and actually more extreme. There's no reason for them to support pedophilia, and nothing in their policies hints at such a view.

  • @MrAntiFarLeft

And 'hearing it several times' doesn't really count as a source. I've also heard that boys have cooties several times. And boys being all icky and whatever makes it easily believable. :P

  • it would have been great if this government had actually done something in its first term .....other than just remove workchoices and play the popularity vote with the Australian people. The Greens have always been a bunch of idealistic, freeloading , immature wankers. Voting Green will not help this country but hinder it. God help us all if they get the balance of power

  • lol! All these votes and they still don't have a seat!

  • Australian Federal Election 2010

Vote for Intelligence, Integrity and Vision

Vote for the Citizens Electoral Council

  • @babblestick a bunch of looney climate change deniers who want to 'green' the dessert.

  • The end caption is a little confusing. I presumed the walking backwards and reverse scenes were leading us all the way back to the early 19th century before fossil fuels. Sure human ingenuity and creativity can solve the energy issues, but humans take up too many resources, so it defeats the purpose. May as well reverse it all the way back to the year dot.

The scary part is, some might agree with this cynicism.

  • At the end of the day, the Greens will never be attractive to the majority of the public until they make it clear where they stand - do they want to develop sustainable technology to cultivate the consumerist lifestyle we live now, or will they up taxes on everything so air conditioning, cars, electricity and water become unaffordable to the lower-middle class?

Sustainability, particularly in the light of Kyoto, is become more realistic all the time, without foregoing lavish creature comforts.

  • The Greens speak the truth.

Labor and the LNP ar liars. E.g. Fear campaigns about "boat people". I wonder if these boat people are refugees from Iraq or Afghanistan.

Hang on, didnt we invade both those countries?

Labor and LNP voters, take a moment to think about how much money we've wasted on war.

Think about our brothers and sisters who were sent to war and died.

As for the "Liberals", look up "liberal" in the dictionary.

  • Cant wait to see all you capitalist bastards with your money and toys when the earth turns to shit see how much good it does you then people today are so dumb and soft ooh i need my fancy house and car with aircon soft bastards harden the fuck up

  • go greens!

  • Photogenic Minority Children - Great name for a rock band!

The Greens are deceitful?! Oh dear!

  • So what if the add sucks. It is better than the lies and crap we get from Tony and Whatever her name is.15 million voters dont actually give a shit. Too many people criticise the Greens without actually reading their policies. Over 1million vote Green. Why isnt that represented in parliament?1% equals 1 representative?? THink about it, if the Media sold us some other parties, the people would vote for it..most only vote who they are told to vote for......oh, the sheep...so many sheep.

  • this is a terribel ad for the Greens, looks more like an ad for a fast acting headache tablet.

The Greens should consider using something more like the ad shown on Gruen Nation on 11 Aug /watch?v=v7ZpNt0g0ao

  • Hey Australian dude, I have an election ad for you: /watch?v=3Q6ulPAPeGo

  • We need to foster a culture of wealth in this country not "everybody owes me something". Instead, have an attitude of "I can created my own wealth". This is the only way to grow a nations GDP. It starts with the person in the mirror not the "greedy miners". I am so sick of the socialist attitude gathering pace in this country.

  • The Greens deliver Paid Maternity Leave? Natasha Stott Despoja introduced legislation for it 8 years ago! I wouldn't trust anyone these days, with the exception of the Democrats- apparently they're running Senate candidates in EVERY state and territory.

  • I am going to vote Greens, but this ad is terrible and completely ineffective. It doesnt convey any information, and it doesn't tell people who havent voted green before, why they should this time. Terrible

  • I'm a long time supporter of the Greens, but this ad is atrocious. The Greens need to broaden their horizons and not just focus on young, trendy metrosexuals. The message is very vague, and non-specific, besides the 6 months parental leave. It appears the ad caters for viewers of MTV - with all the backward walking. There's no weight, no policy, no stated objections. Who on earth came up with this? Probably a TAFE film student making a docu for his class about the Greens without any vocals.

  • @StevenMorello Tell me about it. They've just narrowed the base down to young, hip, funky latté lefty people who live within a certain radius of a major CBD.

  • wait did i read that right? 'move australia forward'? hahaha they totally stole gillard's favourite line

  • Moving foward seems to be a theme here.......hmmmm which other party has that i wonder..........looks like they shared ideas when they shared prefernces

  • @MRMILO57 I'm not too fussed whether you trust the Greens or not on the same-sex marriage issue. I've been to rallies and the Greens were the only big party there to show support (along with some Rainbow Labor). Around the world Green parties have pushed for and achieved gay marriage rights. It's sad your sister and you cannot get around your prejudices to advance the cause.

  • This ad is a bunch of heavy-handed twaddle with a side-serving of untruth and a garnish of fantasy. If ever I'd intended to vote for you people, this would have put me right off.

  • Stupid add for stupid party....

  • @drakosha2 boo stupid comment

  • Look at the greens sinking to the level of abject fantasy to sell themselves.

They've never been this cynical and deceitful before. Never.

Also love how the only shot to show more than one tree are the spooky trees at the Concentration Camp for Photogenic Minority Children

  • Vote Greens and move Australia backwards. Turn off your power guzzlers; your computers and HD TVs, sell your car and forget air conditioners. Ah... back to the sixties for us! Sweet!

  • @Priceless21 No, thats not what the green represent. They're not saying give up technology, they are saying lets generate renewable energy, become world leaders in that technology, kick start green jobs, move away from dirty coal and embrace the future of clean energy. You can keep all the gadgets if you go with renewables. If not, you'll have your air conditioners and plasmas made from China and deserts outside that can't sustain us with food, plus millions of climate change refugees!

  • @Priceless21 did anybody need all these things we take for granted today before the 60's? Trouble is that our society is over privileged, inconveniences make us more grateful to live.

  • @fatpizzaman LOL well get off the computer, close down your fatpizzaman channel and go back to your black and white TV since you consider it an inconvenience anyway. Why tell everyone else to go back and live as we did in the past when you have no intentions of going there yourself, hypocrite.

  • @Priceless21 Don't you fucking tell me how to live my life. We need balance, not over-reliance on technology. I don't like black & white TVs, but I didn't have a computer until I was 25. When I was in my teens back in the mid 80's we didn't have the internet, and we only had one computer in the house which our mum and dad supervised the usage of. Problem is that today's kids are spoilt and over-privileged - look at how many of them abuse mobile phones for bullying tactics for instance.

  • @fatpizzaman "look at how many of them abuse mobile phones for bullying tactics for instance....You are a fucking sicko pal." You mean like you doing right now?... abusing me and swearing at me for expressing my viewpoint that I actually like my HD TV and my airconditioning?

  • @Priceless21 So you think that guzzling the Earth's resources and exploiting the planet for all we've got is okay? You are a fucking sicko pal.

  • @Priceless21 not to mention lets all live under the poverty line in order to fund all these policies!

Some people think you should plant trees and that will solve everything. Vote Green and be prepared to pay 50x more in electricity, 50x more in grocery, 80% of the population unemployed and before you know it our only light source will be from the sun itself. WE will end up footing the bill to fund this fantasy revolution that is completely out of touch with todays society. yeah, Go Greens!

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah...right - voting for lunatics is just so........green!

  • I'll be voting Green because that guy at the end has such a nice arse.

  • I will probably vote Green at the election, but seriously guys, this ad is just awful. It did nothing but obscure what you have to say with oblique symbolism. You have deconstructed yourselves to the point of meaninglessness and made yourselves a parody in the process. PLZ PLZ PLZ make a new ad before it is too late.

  • the greens only appeal to gucchi socialists living comfortably in the cities

  • i was expecting more but labor doesn't stand for anything anymore it seems the only true liberal minded party in Australia is the greens their policies on almost everything are better than the main parties

  • Like the Greens, Dislike the ad.

  • This ad is pure brainwashing......I don't trust anyone that wears green clothing!

  • two of my best friends appear in this Hahahahaha :P

  • I'll be voting Green - the only credible party with any chance of getting into parliament. Bad ad though: wrong demografic (20 something male, inner-city families, etc) and BAD music !

  • vote liberal

  • the climate change tax will INCREASE the cost of your FOOD, your POWER bills, significantly!!!!!!

  • @darkaus32 Good.

  • @darkaus32 climate change tax is like an insurance you pay for the cost of having to combat the effects you are causing. if you have cars on the road, there's going to be accidents. if you emit C02, you are going to warm the planet. therefore we need to put in money to help ensure that the planet doesn't warm too much. if we don't, we'll have to pay the full price of the disaster we cause if we do nothing. and that might be more than we can ever afford.

  • A VOTE TO GREENS IS A VOTE TO LABOR, IF THE GREENS GO INTO POWER ANIMALS ARE THE AUSTRALIAN CITIZENS AND WE'RE SECOND CLASS HUMAN BEINGS.

  • Labor and Greens know only how to spend

    Spend

Someone else has to make that money they want to spend

And if business runs out they look to us and Tax Tax Tax

    Very simple

    Very socialist

They will never ever set about making the money they need and want to spend

    They will always just take

  • @nibblez1222 I never heard that is was the governments business to make money. They're here to set the balance between business wants and societies needs. Business wants money, no matter what, society wants health, fair pay, education, and infrastructure and human rights. Government, I think, is supposed to set the boundaries between those two groups. In particular, it should be on the side of the individual people, and the national interest.

  • @StevenMorello Get yourself real buddy-- I am sick to death of people like u who post gratuitous self serving bleating nonsense. Most of the Labor/Green members are from some Union , Admin, Public Service background and used to living high off the hog unlike the average Australian.

  • @nibblez1222 I'm not talking about members, I'm talking about Green voters.

  • When I think of The Greens, I think of climate change and environmental protection. I don't think about some upwardly mobile guy walking down a street, trains, paid parental leave, people in detention or walking into a polling booth to cast my vote.

  • What a complete Bunch of B/S. The Greens and the other ECO facists want to run every aspect of our lives. I am a PROUD MAN MADE GLOBAL WARMING SCEPTIC. Why oh why does no want want a true scientific debate on the so called theory behind this crap, could it just be that is is complete garbage. Tell you what if you guys want to go and live in a mud hut smoke pot good luck to you but don't you dare tell me how to live me life. By the way never met a Green who wan not loaded with cash.

  • @csmig23uk

Yes- the vast bulk of scientific evidence suggests that global warming has nothing to do with human activity. I'm sure you've pored through many scientific journal articles to come to this well-researched view.

Nothing suggests meticulous research and rigorous reasoning, than the over-excited use of capitals.

Your personal polling of Greens and their wealth is both pertinent and clearly a well-selected sample. All in all, you bear all the hallmarks of true erudition. I salute you.

  • @csmig23uk Why get angry about people telling you how to live your life? That's been happening to us all since the day we were born hasn't it?

You don't convince me with your scientific reasoning, though. It looks like an identity issue to me.

  • @csmig23uk So you think pot smokers are generally rich? Far from it. Many greens are people who think relationships, communities, and the future generation are more important that short term profits. Of course some will be rich, but many of them aren't. Greens are very diverse, but all of them think about the future of the planet, future generations, and the future for endangered species. We only ask people to respect these things, because their future is in danger.

  • We have bunch of incompetent union thugs led by an even more incompetent bogan....running this great country

  • bring the troops home no more wars for israLIES

  • labour and liberal are on the same tree different branch meaning they repersent the corporates and not the people

death to the new world order

  • Greens say not to vote for labor but the fact is a vote for Green is a vote for Labor. Don't believe me than look at the 2007 election.
