This was the biggest asshole level of the entire game, in my opinion. Trying to navigate those gears with gold medusa heads threatening to paralyze you, then dodging around lightning dolls and bomber armors... that took skill. Then comes one of the hardest bosses... I loved every minute of it, though.

I was more afraid of the fact that this is the place where the enemies start jumping the gun. Before, you mostly were facing small fries. In this level, they throw a great armor at you when you are near the apex.

This game truly is amazing. I played OoE first (Order of Ecclesia) and thought that game was amazing, but this one blew it out of the water completely in my opinion. My only gripe is that it lacks the difficulty that I revere in OoE; in fact it's a bit TOO easy! Other than that, I will be getting this and plenty other classic gems with my Pika SP before April 3rd! lol

Why bother wasting your time on this if you hate it?

The clocktowers are always the hardest, arent they? But what about those arena chambers? I did them without the bat, and they are a pain in the ass. (ahem, stone medusas + spikes everywhere + no steady ground + demons = massive damage + cluttering = old skool Frustration)

On the other hand, this game is like Sotn, but seems harder to me, which is good because Sotn wasnt hard at all imo. Richter (allright, alucard too, for a bit) FTW!

It was the first for me. I had just borrowed from a friend, and then a day later I beat it like 3 times. It is a gateway drug to all other castlevanias. If I had played a game like Rondo of Blood I would have stopped playing because it was so hard to not die given that richter has only 1 jump and a immediate backflip in the other direction. But thanks to this I went to play PoR, SoTN, DoS, DxC, CoTN, and I don't regret it. And why would one need to be 4? Age is not a factor for Dracula.

When you consider that it was released in 2003 then this person would be less likely to play this first if they were 4 (I also doubt that they'd be any good at it being only 4). It was released 7 years ago and if the person was that old now I don't think they'd be playing when they were 0. Giving credit to the actual game play one would have to be at least 6 or 7 maybe to play through it alright and at that age they might'nt have payed much attention to games being released prior to that.

I remember that you fight death here. I tend to be the kind of person who stays underleveled for more game difficulty, and I kept on getting totally slaughtered by death. There was this huge Giant Armor enemy near Death's room, and I would fight him for more experience. This kick ass Castlevania song made fighting that guy fun too. : )

It moves fast and you see only the blue light across the screen. It will come in to the frame when you enter the frame yourself, use the time stopping power (chronomage?) right away and kill the skyfish. Repeat until you have soul. its hard to time it but choose a location where you can just walk in and out the frame and skyfish is within reach.

Try to get it using the Soul Eater ring? (To get it easily, kill Lubicants in Arena to get lots of Muramasa swords, you should have high luck tho, I had about 60. Then get a tsuchinoko soul from the Dance Hall, in the room past the golem boss room, then sell the muramasas until you have 240k and buy the ring)

try gettin ur luck up really high with stuff like ghost dancer souls and 3 7s, (dont no if their in AoS btw cause ive just played DoS). Also try and find a place beside a door where u can kill them really quickly and then use the black panther soul to run out of the room and back in again.
