okay, I think it was like, first, you see the guys shoe in the beginning on the track so you think he has both feet but no. while he's running he has flashbacks of his parents fighting when he was a child, and him boxing, and his girlfriend (cheating on him?) and throwing her ring at him right after the accident. so with the accident, he probably lost his leg, and then we finally see that he has a fake one back in the present. and the lesson is probably to keep persevering or something :)

okay for people who aren't understanding the story, he has parents who don't get along, his dad hit him when he looked at the bad magazines and was smoking. and he had a girlfriend but she rejected him after finding another guy, and he beat him up. then he got in a wreck and lost his leg i guess. and he's an athlete and all that. xD Hope that helps a little.
