@DuckMoo96 it's actually mostly water, while there is some digestive acid it's heavily diluted by the water. Sticking a finger in there won't hurt you. This is why it takes days for the plant to digest the meal. Humans can digest food within a few hours.

It pretty much "Breaks down" the insects so the plant can absorb the nutrients from the bug. at least thats what my biology teacher told me.
