Meh, the original was intimidating enough that it almost seemed like it could be the last boss, especially on your first playthrough.

This would fit better somewhere between the tightrope and the juggling dwarves at the circus.

I love these versions of the soundtrack for FFVI you've done. Some of them actually sound better then the original in my opinion. Which isn't too easy to do considering you can hear a large degree of the original soundtrack in what you've done.

Granted, I want to stay true to the original as much as I can, but I also want to deviate from it a little bit. To make it a little more interesting.

I thought the Xylophone doubling the Electric Guitar made for an interesting contrast. You don't normally hear that. I like the idea of switching things up a bit :D

Sounds more like a marimba to me... But I like this arrangement and that part =] I would have done it a bit differently, but I guess that's the beauty of arrangements :P

It deffinetly sounds more like a Marimba than a Xylophone.

It's definitely a Xylophone.  Marimbas have a deeper sound because of the big resonance chambers they have uinder the keyboard. The Xylophone cuts through the band more because those chambers are very small, that's why I used one - to cut through the sound =]

Maybe it's just the digitalized sound, but I usually remember Xylophones sounding... different. I can't really explain, it's like a higher, shorter tone.
