  • @conraddoavil What you fail to understand is that to try to prevent terrorism that is unlikely to occur in the first place, the government has to borrow even more money from other countries and raise taxes which kills the economy. If you haven't figured it out yet this would infringe on our liberty by enslaving us to debt. This country can't continue to live outside of its means. Ron Paul 2012. Peace.

  • I am for Ron Paul here, as young as inexperienced as I may be. I just love the idea of bringing us back toward reinstating the Golden Standard. Without drastic changes there won't be visible improvement or worthwhile improvement and that is a fact.

  • Both are unelectable. Romney for the Economy 2012 !!!

  • Ron Paul is a nut, Thankfully he has no chance at presidency.

  • @leedaomillz They all are. He may just be one of the biggest lol

  • Newt, Tim did what he did BECAUSE of Government control freaks. He was so angered by the Waco incident, that he couldn't handle what was happening in America. He thought the FBI was gonna come in and take people's guns away.

I'm not defending him, I'm just stating the facts

  • Talk about dealing with things "after the fact". The US government used military equipment to terrorize, shoot automatic weapons and CS gas at, and finally demolish a building that was filled with women and children all while Gingrich was IN that government and AFTER it was all over he wanted merely wanted an "investigation".

But when an American Citizen REACTS to that very event Gingrich says that ALL CITIZENS should be investigated BEFORE they POTENTIALLY do something.

    Tyrant!

  • what I don't understand is how ron paul owned newt gingrich. The simple sentence "timothy McVeigh succeeded" discredited everything ron paul said about "how we dealt with him well"

And I think ron paul was confused about newt gingriches answer. He never said anything about taking people's liberty's away. He just said we should try to prevent terrorism. I don't know why the video isn't titled "Ron Paul gets owned" especially after the rambling reply he gave to newt gingrich after he got owned

  • @conraddoavil i rather have an OKC bombing then a police state government.

  • @badboy95ca id like to hear you say that if you lost someone close to you in that bombing

  • @conraddoavil yea seriously I was looking thru these comments and was like how the f**k do these people think newt got owned is everyone on youtube retarded?

  • RP 2012!

  • I'd rather elect a turd for president than this scumbag newt

  • @TheWolowiz He is a turd, please dont elect a turd again ^_^

  • People think in this way: Lets say you don't support the government or say something what may be harmful for them with the Patriot Act they can put you in jail without a trial.

They can get you or your family for saying something they don't like.. Do you want that kind of America? No trial, no jury, no judge. Nobody will know what happened to you or your family!

  • Adolf Hitler also believed in pre-emptive war, torture of prisoners and indefinite detention without trial. Hmmmmmm.

  • Are there really that many timothy mcveighs out there that we need this new patriot act....NO

  • Crime is already a crime..Regardless! This new patriot act's intention is to arrest and detain american citizens who MIGHT be a threat..No evidence needed, no trail, no jury, no proof of any crime ever committed..Anyone who supports this is a true terrorist and a threat to the Constitution of this United States of America and to the Republic. Tyranny!

  • Ron Paul is an idiot and his paranoia generated by Muslims who paint the west & Israel as their greatest enemies, is why he will never become president. Gingrich owns Paul on every issue. The Patriot Act has not infringed on anyone's liberties but has prevented devastating attacks. Islam is at war with the west. Paul is in la-la land.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrSheniah stupid troll is stupid. show your facts dumbfuck. the patriot act can detain any american citizen indefinitely. plus, havent you heard of the recent assasination of anwar awlaki? if you are for the assasination of american citizens well i hope you are assasinated and/or detained and tortured you piece of shit. america does not need anymore dumbfucks running the country.

  • Pure BULLSHIT. How the hell do people think a middle eastern country typically a third world country will take down the greatest nation in the world? They don't even have an air force yet these idiots believe they will acquire and use a nuke? Our founding fathers are rolling over in their graves. NEVER SACRIFICE LIBERTY!

  • Ron Paul 2012. I DEMAND my freedoms.

  • Ron Paul or die

  • The Patriot Act and NDAA are not new laws! They only have new names!

They have been used successfully before by Hitler, Stalin and Mao!

While the outspoken dissidents are put in jail/Gitmo/Dachau/Gulag, the quiet

ones support the system by doing nothing in exchange for very little freedom

and NO SECURITY! By the time you realize that it will be too late!

You will be nothing but a servient!

Wake up people! What do you want?

The Good Old USA or a brand new USSR?

    Vote by your heart!

    Vote Dr.Paul!

  • WOW RON PAUL IS 100 PERCENT RIGHT ON!! WTFFF LOUDER APPLAUSE PLEASE!

  • @politicaltruth42 The general public does not applaud Ron Paul because is is quite simply an "isolationist'. While I agree with many of his domestic policy arguments. I cannot support his rationale about terrorism. As far as getting involved in wars, if Ron Paul were president, Europe would be run by Nazis.

  • @phuqtup1 if he didnt want to trade with other countries then that would be considered isolationist... just because he support an empire doesn't mean he is an isolationist...keep believing the mainstream see where this country ends up with we go to war with iran

  • @phuqtup1 Uh you do know how world war II started right? We came into the war because enemies dared to land an attack on Pearl Harbor, a US control navel base. We never wanted to go war in the first place. We were forced to declare an act war because of an enemy attack. So, learn some facts before stating random useless facts.

  • The people in those stands are almost as embarrassing as the GOP candidates minus Paul.

  • Newt Gingrich is for preemptive war and destroying the Bill of Rights; BOO Mr. Gingrich you treasonous traitor!

Help us Dr. Ron Paul, you're our only hope!

  • @DefenderOfLogic

You really think the Patriot Act is preventing anything?

  • I hate when they make one sentence statements and then pause for applause. Most of them just look for approval instead of saying what they truly think.

  • After we lose a major american city - this bastard knows about the impending false flag

  • ron paul is taking things out of context. the topic was terrorism and newt didnt say a thing to even suggest he supported a police state

  • @AdangerousRETARD He said he supports the Patriot Act, therefore supporting a police state.

  • Like a good politician, Newt's acting mindless for show because, of course, he knows that not every attack can be prevented.

There is a line between exterminating all humans and dismantling all security agencies that provides an acceptable balance between being-successfully-attacked-by-a-terrorist and having-absolutely-no-privacy. For each person this line is different and varies over a lifetime.

Neither of these guys said specifically where their line was drawn in this debate.

  • Newt Gunray, I mean, Newt Gingrich doesn't have a flip-flopping chance!

  • Bachmans moan in the start is hot!

  • @isbusybeingborn Your right......that is a Hot moan.

  • The U.S. Goverment and Wall Street have done more damage to this country, than Osama Bin Laden could have ever dreamed of.

  • To be honest y'all, I used to support the Patriot Act. But I've come to realize how dangerous it really is and how it undermines our RIGHTS as citizens of this nation. If you support the P.A., ask yourself this question, Would you want your worst, most hated enemy to have that kind of power?

  • It's always the same people that say "the patriot act protects our freedoms". "If you don't like the TSA don't fly" now theyre coming to our highways.

  • Only idiots and the government like the "patriot" act

  • Newt Gingrich gets Owned

  • @badboy95ca

Nice reality reversal idiot. Ron Paul gets owned. Gingrich proves that he can think more rationally than libertarian Ron Paul who is all idealism.

  • Comment removed

  • @DefenderOfLogic No buddy ur an idoit. If u think trading libery for security is good? y dont u read the about the history of how the US nation was buildt upon becuz if u had reall logic then u will know why it was important not trade liberty for freedom.

  • @badboy95ca You mean, Newt Gingrich owned. Its simple. Wait till something bad happens and THEN do something about it. Or prevent it from happening in the first place. You have just been owned. Now go ahead and reply talking about not sacrificing our liberties and blablabla.

  • "Ron Paul 2012" is a mere bumpersticker, and not serious reform proposals. Ron Paul's no foreign aid, no intervention policies is akin to an adult witnessing a sixth grader beating up a toddler in a sandbox, and doing nothing but, walking away muttering..."not my problem, I've got bills to pay".

  • @leegrady1234 so your ok with being the world police? we seem to be selective about which wars to fight and not. There are far worse ass beatings happening than the ones we have got involved in. Where do you draw a line? Its unlikely Paul as president would pull us out of all 130 nations we are in and most Americans would agree we could stand to bring that number down. The partiot act would not have caught mcveigh before he killed those people. newt is a globalist cheater

  • @Crustydraw My commet is a hypothetical metaphor for consideration. Your comments are nothing more than emotional feelings contirved from assumptions. The rant of a simpleton. You write with conviction based on a guess, and use typical Paulbot catch phrases to support your assertions. I doubt very much you have any indepth knowledge of history, Home Land Security laws and data, the Constitution, or even Congressman Paul.

  • @leegrady1234 I realize that your brainwashing that we have to have all these wars and blow all this money for nothing but you dont have to resort to name calling. I am just curious to how many of your rights are you willing to give up so you can be safe from our govts tyranical wars and the hate it sturs. The govts we deposed will end up being run by terrorists. We have violated several sovern nations some of whom have nuclear weapons and I hope you feel safe. face it you are a bush luvr neocon

  • @Crustydraw From the sentence structure, spelling, logical fallacies, and unsupported generalizations of your comments I maintain that you are indeed a simpleton. That is not so much an insult but, an observation. Lynard Skynard wrote songs about such. One entitled, "A Simple Man". Some view being a simpleton as a virtue, and there is nothing wrong with being comfortable in one's own skin. You may view these remarks as pissing in your pocket, and telling you it's rainning. I suggest humility.

  • @Crustydraw How may rights is a soldier willing to sacrifice? I am willing to give up the right to live, and die for my country. Or even to die so that others in the world may taste the spirit of freedom that the best laws are those laws that we are not aware of. Ron Paul's action to combat terrorist was to reintroduce Article 1, section 8 of the U.S. Contitution: Letters of Marque. This is a very inept approach that fails to address 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc... orders of concern.

  • @leegrady1234 our founders warned of us not to fall for our rights being taken for the reason of increased security. So our govt know better than our founders and several past presidents? their taste of freedom is only gonna piss off the hardliners even more. it won't last and we risk everything and also pass a ton of debt to our kids. I have more military in my fam than not. They would tell you that being patriotic and defending this govts actions is 2 different things. These wars are a threat

  • @Crustydraw To begin I will dispense with the notion that our founding fathers were these God-like creatures that could do no wrong. They were exceptional people during an exceptional time, but they were not perfect, and did not have a perfect clairvoyant view on everthing. For example: some kept slaves, and slave ships, and funded the slave trade. The Constitution at the time discriminated gender, and they were by no means Libertarians. In fact Jefferson double the size of the Fed. Gov't.

  • @leegrady1234 the people 200 years from now will surely see us as alot worse people. Don't fall for the lie that all slaves were treated horribly. how much work do you get out of a starved beaten overworked slave? We treat blacks alot worse today than 200yrs ago. Now our so called leaders are better huh? they only fuck whores and tweet penis and fuck people in toilets.... thats much more enlightened than a rotten founder eh? We should stick to our Bill of rights and constitution without question

  • @Crustydraw It wasn't until much later that our Gov't did in fact know better, and change the Constitution. John Adams, a founder, and second President, signed into law the "Alien and Sedition Act" which is similar to the P.A.. Another founder, Alexander Hamilton wrote that foremost among the objectives of the Constitution is the security of the Nation. That there can be no limit to that authority which is to provide for the defense and protection of the community.

  • @Crustydraw So in review it seems that even our founding fathers would debate the Constitutionality of the P.A.. And as far as non-intervention being an avenue of peace keep in mind that some believe that we must adhere to a State religion, and that alone is the motivation to attack, conquer, and over-throw the U.S. Gov't., and impose the God of thier understanding laws upon the people of America. The choice was made to bring the fight to them, for they will continue to bring the fight to us.

  • @leegrady1234 it seems many of the people that signed our declaration of independence were tortured killed or their families were. They knew that their freedoms were worth death. You are telling me that you dont mind protecting those who treat our rights like cookies to be taken from a undeserving child.

"Any people that would give up liberty for a little temporary safety deserves neither liberty nor safety." Benjamin Franklin

    good then good now.

  • @Crustydraw Your comments are fubar, and I will make no attempt here to knit oatmeal. Take care.

  • @leegrady1234 I expect a comment like that from a war monger who could care less about our rights.neocons have hyjacked the republican party! They got yall tricked into thinking we are gonna make a difference in the world by violating the sovernty of nations. if you think we are doing anything but making new enemies your wrong and when we are broke and the dollar is good for nothing but toilet paper you will get to defend America from America cause these muslim trogladytes will be here to fight

  • @Crustydraw I bothered to read the debate between you and your opponent. He won. Paul suppporters always degrade down to calling anyone who supports National Security first "Neocon" or "War/monger" . Paul recieves most of his disengenious support and money from anti-war left-wing progressives who pretend to be COnstitutionalists. Google Paul , and all objective reporting on him is search engine shifted to only positive. Many of RP's former assistants has said that RP has become a nutball.

  • @rayrayholland the records of newt or romney are huge contrast from that of most conservatives. The fact is you can find former supporters of any of the canidates that would say things you dont wanna hear but how nice to single one of them out. Newt is for a mandate and cap and trade ect. not conservative. Paul has to fight the agenda of fox and the left media which is to keep this war machine goin no matter the cost. What does national security have to do with letting our border go to hell?

  • @rayrayholland someone who has an agenda that doesnt include security of afganistans border but not our own is gonna be called everything under the sun to stop him. Bush blew out our federal govt, eroded our rights but he got elected on a platform that was closer the pauls than what actually happened. You think all this war will make the muslims stop attacking us? Only if your buddy has his way and MORE of our rights are taken to keep ahead of the thousands of binladens the neocons have made.

  • @rayrayholland he won? thats what happened to the conservative platform the neocons won and now look at this country. u should expand your horizons and check out newts past it includes voting for department of education, supporting cap and trade, healthcare mandate, big govt. I guess you think all Ron Paul supporters are lefties but the record of the others make Ron look like Ronald Reagan. neither media will say that as they have an agenda and need these neocons to keep the fight goin

  • Ron Paul is a joke and a loon. He thinks if we just leave everyone alone and mind our own business, that all the hate and violence will magically disappear, and we will live happily ever after. He lives in a fairy tale and needs psychiatric help.

Ask yourself this: Which is more important, your liberties or your safety/security? Well, just try exercising your liberties when you're DEAD...duh.

    NEWT 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Rage7755 the wire taps on your phone are an invasion of your rights and they have a giant backlog of recorded calls... the chances of them ever stopping a terror event are very low. How many of your rights are you willing to give away for the small chance your life may be saved?

  • @Crustydraw The Patriot Act has already, on two recent occasions, been used to bust Islamic mosques in the US acting as a front and sending money to the Pakistani Taliban to buy weapons to fight our troops. Also, listen to the person who asked the question in the above video. The patriot act has been successful at least 42 times. I'm not worried about someone listening to my phone conversation, I'm more worried about our troops being safe. Your liberties aren't free someone has to fight for them

  • @Rage7755 my liberties are less safe because we are over in the mideast making 1000 more binladens. maybe if our govt stayed out of everyone elses shit we'd be left alone. If china was using drones to kill terroists over the USA maybe you'd be pissed off too. Maybe if russia invaded our country to fight terror I would condone our people blowing up russian intrests. 30,000+ troops on the korean border like sitting ducks is not keeping me safer. The dems help craft and signed it. dont bother you?

  • Gingrich is an idiot. Ron Paul is right its the quality of security to protect the people's rights and uphold the constitution not the quantity of security. Under the patriot act they can throw any of you in jail at anytime with no explanation for the rest of your life without trial just because they "think" your a terrorist. Gingrich betrayed bill Clinton and He's a smug bastard and an idiot. Ron Paul 2012 restore America

  • Gingrich is spot on! Paul's face when Gingrich spoke in rebuttle looks like he's just been told there is no Santa Claus.

  • @leegrady1234

You must love the police state.

  • @leegrady1234 you like your calls being wire tapped? with little chance of it foiling shit

  • Newt was right on when he said, Timothy McVeigh succeeded. Ron Paul is completely nuts. He leans so much to the democratic side he needs to switch parties. Newt will be our next president, write that down....

  • @YouPostTheNewscom Are you serious? Ron Paul is more conservative. IF HE WAS A LIBERAL HE WOULD WANT GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION YOU DUMB FUCK. NEWT IS THE LIBERAL ONE.

  • @YouPostTheNewscom

I like Newt Gingrich, but Ron Paul is hardly a Democrat. What Democrat wants to abolish the income tax and eliminate Medicare, Medicade, and Social security?

  • all are Zionist traitors and the only American for AMERICA FIRST IS RON PAUL 2012!

  • Gingrich is a piece of shit nwo scum

  • Obama /Greewitch Obama war mongers

  • This CNN debate was sponsored by war Makers AEI. American people don't want to hear fear and war. We are too smart for that. We want to hear about building this country and building jobs for the american family. Newt and Romney is trying to put us more into debt. We should take of our country first!!!

  • Newt stomped Paul like a cockroach. I never heard McVeigh declare war on the US like Awlaki did either. There is a huge difference between declaring war on the US and committing a crime. Newt exposed the libertarian pacifism in Paul; Waiting to get hit before you take action, when we know for a fact it is just a metter of time, is called SUICIDE. Something lunatic Ron Paul is happy with because he lives in a Utopian fantasy land.

  • @Rage7755 so according to you awlaki declared war on the USA.so just one man ca do that?

also did you hear him do that? i never knew you were there when he did.hahah

you are a real humpity troll.

  • @Rage7755 Exactly right.

  • @Rage7755 You want to live a police state in which your liberties are taken away? It's pathetic you would give up your rights to the nanny state. Join the Nazi party, if you think a police state is sooo great. Pathetic use of a citizen right here. You like your family and kids getting molested by the TSA? I wish this country had less people like you.

  • @Rage7755

Have fun living in a Police State and continue to pile mountains of debt and endless lives from this "War on Terror".

  • We didn't have the Patriot Act during the days of the Cold War and the Soviets had nuclear weapons. Ron Paul was right when he used the analogy of cops inside every American home ensuring that parents don't abuse their kids. You can always say we'd be safer if everyone was under constant surveillance but that isn't even remotely close to living in a free society. How do we know Newt wasn't hiding a bomb in his rectum during the debate? Only by performing a body cavity search could we be sure.

  • newt gingrich is a dumbass

  • @ZEINKIENZIAN Actually, for Newt to say he would strengthen the Patriot Act implies he would consider such acts. The Patriot Act already allows the government to fringe upon certain liberties of citizens without consequences. And all it takes is someone to claim someone is a terrorist, or talks to terrorist, without proof. Wiretaps and search & seizures without warrants, holding citizens for up to 72-hrs without due process ... these acts already take place. What's next?

  • Ron Paul's argument is the typical libertarian view: laws and government should have a minimal impact on individual liberties, as long as these liberties are legitimate; and the means of preventing unlawful behavior is through the negative feedback mechanism of harsh punishments for unlawful activities. The problem is that for people like McVeigh and Al-Quaeda operatives, harsh punishments for similar "crimes" would not have deterred them. They're deranged. This is the world we live in.

  • @muchachogenio i think you also need to consider what drives people like mc veigh and alqeada. dont know much of mcveigh but alqeada was because we were over there causing trouble.

  • @xpressurs Osama's reasons for the 9/11 attacks (broadly): 1) Palestine, 2) military presence in Muslim countries, 3) pernicious influence of US culture. Translation: 1) Turn your backs on Israel and let the Arabs deal with them like dogs. 2) Forget your economic interests in oil-rich Middle East. (We have bases in Saudi Arabia because of the first Gulf War over Kuwait.) 3) Sharia Law is superior to your laws and values. And McVeigh = disturbed person.

  • @muchachogenio Yes sharia law is superior, may we oppress and murder women and on-believers for years to come brother! *sarcastic high five*

  • @muchachogenio

    "Palestine" is an invented identity.

  • Comment removed

  • Fuck the Patriot Act

  • @ZEINKIENZIAN the arizona shooter was successful, the virgina tech shooter was successful, the colombine shooters were successful, etc, .i can go on and on. so i guess we should put surveillance cameras and police offices in every home to stop people who might massacre others right?

think with your brain and not your ass.

  • @ZEINKIENZIAN What they need to say is McVeigh had help with the CIA and was setup. The original patriot act was created during the oklahoma bombing and didnt pass because it was violating the rights of all americans. And they still havent come clean about all the other bombs in the "Federal Building" That McVeigh supposedly blew up with only a truck fertilizer bomb and later in an interview with inmates were told he had to admit doing it or his family would of been killed.

  • The fact that al queda made America give up the thing that means the most "liberty" shows they won a long time ago. Youd never a guess a bunch of sanddwellers would alter our country to that extent. I never imagine we were full of pussies

  • @LuDimezofKush This reminds me of the scene in Star wars where ppl accept an Palpatines proposal to build and empire and was cheered with thunderous applaud

  • @LuDimezofKush the fact that Ron Paul spoke so intelligently and passionately and the fact ppl still applaud for newt gingrich just shows me there is no cure for the America we have created

  • NAZI-NEWT shows is ESTABLISHMENT SPOTS ..

    WHAT a FLAMING FAKE!

  • @MiloDC

We have no declared wars, without a war you use the letter of marque &reprisal. no liberties taken through fear.

  • maybe we should think about why terrorists want to attack us??

  • So did CNN take down their online poll too? Last time I checked, Ron Paul was winning 60% of the vote.

  • all this FUCKERS BEEN PICKING BY ZIONIST LOBBY'S EXCEPT DR PAUL ALL THEY CARE & WNA AREPRESENT THE ISRAHELL INTEREST THEY DONT CARE ABOUT AMERICAN LIFE/ US INTEREST KICK THE ZIONIST ASS OUT UR COUNTRY LIKE WE DID IN EU

  • "all of us will be in danger for the rest of our lives" and thats his excuse for why the gvnmt needs to continually hound us, i.e patriot act. arent we in danger when driving cars, riding in planes, going to work or just walking across the street. do we need to stop doing these things because they put us in danger? hey newt why dont you quit forcing me to sacrifice my personal freedoms and liberties for this falses sense of security that you pretend to give to the american people. prick

  • I could not understand Gingrich. The only interpretation I had was he was defending a police state, and I dismissed it thinking that it would be impossible for a Republican candidate to have such a position. If that's the case, why did people applaud so intensely? None of this makes sense.

  • @krazyknva78 YOUR A FREAKIN IDIOT....ROMNEY IS GOIND TO WIN AND YOUR NOT VET.....YOUR NOTHING BUT AN AL QAEUDA SYMPATHIZER !!

  • @leandean100 Look, Troll: I have no patience for a piece of shit like you claiming to be a vet. You're not a vet. You were NEVER a Marine. You have no sense of honor & integrity. Me & mine spent the last decade hunting down confirmed terrorists. What the hell have you done, besides sitting behind a computer pretending to be something you're not? That's right ... not a damn thing.

And Romney?! LMAO!!!!! Yeah, makes sense for a troll to support a troll.

  • Go away Neocon Newt!

  • @krazyknva78...you can't take the title away from me, and ron paul is not going to win whether you like it or not.....so i have the upper hand here and no your obvioulsy lying your no vet at all, your a wannabe that was to scared to sign up bahahaha

  • @leandean100 No one knows who'll win, but Paul has integrity & that's far more than what the rest of the GOP can offer. You're taking a title you never earned. No active duty or vet would EVER accept the idea of allowing the US Constitution to be shredded. I've worn the uniform proudly for over 15 years. You've shown a complete lack honor & integrity. And seeing as you have NO idea what that means, it shows you're nothing more than a troll.

  • @krazyknva78....and you just proved your no vet and your a lying sack of crap too and make me and my boys look bad

  • @leandean100 I'm still active, dipshit. You're never been downrange. I seriously doubt you wore that uniform, just from what you're saying. Funny what my ID card & record says, along with what SO MANY active duty like myself & vets are stating ... compared to the total bullshit you decided to claim. You fucking disgust me.

  • Yes Al Qaieda was successful in the 9/11 WTC attack. But since then they have had 2 MUCH GREATER successes:

    1. Drawing the US into war on their battleground where about 1500 Americans have been killed and 15000 wounded, the longest war in American history.

    2. Manipulating the US government into attacking the long held and dearly fought for freedoms of it's own citizens by discarding the bill of rights and ignoring it's own constitution, one of the greatest governmental documents ever written

  • @xjmaki That's your way of looking at events since 9/11.

My way of looking at events is to say that Al Qaeda "succeeded" (since we're pretending that whatever stuff you don't like was engineered by terrorists) at stoking the indignation of the 1960s-style anti-war crowd, and getting them to effectively side with militant Islam in looking out for the interests of religious fanatics (instead of the interests of the American republic and her ally in the Middle East).

  • Didn't Gingrich just prove Paul's point?

Paul: "We can't sacrifice liberty for security"

Gingrich: "But if we do we'll be safer!"

    WTF?

  • @krazyknva78....anyone who thinks the iraq war is a mistake DOES NOT deserve to be president period

  • @leandean100 And you just proved you've never been downrange. Congrats for showing you're a lying sack of shit. You're no Marine. Don't roll around making that claim. You make alot of good & honorable men and women look bad.

  • @leandean100

Uh, why did we go into Iraq? Oh yeah, it was all lies and tens of thousands are dead because of our actions. Iraq was a horrible, bloody mistake.

  • @leandean100 Anyone who doesn't think that the Iraq war (1 and 2) were mistakes, DOES NOT seem to learn from history.

  • @leandean100 How did we know that there was a possibility that he had WMD's? Because we handed them over to him. There was no Al Qaeda in Iraq until we invaded. Iraq was a huge mistake that placed an enormous burden on our economy and military readiness for a real threat. We've got more soldiers dying of suicide than at the hands of the enemy. Paul has the right foreign policy, if you want perpetual war join blackwater and disavow the oath you took because you are half assing that anyway

  • lol no one want's to hear bachmann's opinions

  • Newt is just one of the DC boys. Anything to grow govt he will be in favor of. he wrote the blueprint 15 years ago for a lot of the BS that is happening to day.

    go away Fig NEWTon

  • People are clapping for losing freedom. How utterly sickening.

  • @Jwes77 Clearly, people *aren't* clapping for losing freedom; that is your one-sided twist. What they are applauding is that a grown-up (Gingrich) recognizes the need for a trade-off. Show me the people cowering in fear of losing their liberty due to the PATRIOT Act, and I'll show you a bunch of extremist nuts who can't distinguish between a purely ideological position (libertarianism untainted) and the realities (opposing ideologies) that make achieving it impossible.

  • @MiloDC It's a very slippery slope. Increasing the size and scope of the federal government in the name of "security" leads to George Orwell's 1984. WAKE UP.

  • @nimmerj I prefer to argue from the standpoint of facts and reality, and addressing real problems with practical solutions -- not from the standpoint of theoretical slides into Orwellian statism that would make for an entertaining movie. Militant Islam is not a state; its followers have demonstrably infiltrated our borders and blended in with other, patriotic Americans. They have forced your libertarian hand, and you are not prepared to make the sacrifices necessary to deal with them.

  • @nimmerj Agreed.

  • @MiloDC "Recognize the need for a trade-off." And that's why some argue the terrorists won. Because "we're" so willing to give up on the very principals this country was founded on. And because of the possibility of attack? Because of fear? How much do we give up before it's enough? How many amendments do we abolish, for the good of security? If you think we can't defend this country WITHOUT giving up on our liberties, you're wrong. The Patriot Act did nothing but walk all over citizens.

  • @MiloDC The need for a trade off? Are you kidding me? "People who are willing to trade a little freedom for a little security deserve neither and will lose both." Ben Franklin said that and he was right. There is no "need", nor will there ever be. If you think there is a "need", perhaps you'd be better off in a country like Libya right now or Egypt, one without a bill of rights, since you certainly don't hold yours in very high regard.

  • @MiloDC Clearly they are!

  • @krazyknva78.....I was in the marines myself and i was in iraq unlike you obvioulsy since you support ron paul's coward ways !!

  • @leandean100 I've been in since '96 & retire in '16. I've been downrange 6 times now. As a Marine, you took an oath to defend the Constitution. For you to believe it's ok for our citizens to lose their liberties for the sake of "What If's" shows you're either lying about being a Marine OR you have no honor nor integrity.

Suggest you look up who the vast majority of us support & wake the fuck up, before you disgrace yourself further.

  • @leandean100 yay more wars, more spending, more killing civilians in the middle east, pfffft lol Ron Paul 2012

  • @leandean100 How is choosing peace cowardly? How is deciding against killing hundreds of thousands of people cowardly? You need a definite reality check / humanity check. He never said he'd never fight a war, just not a preventative war, which, by the way, was an invention of Hitler.

  • @leandean100 (Congressman Ron Paul - active duty flight surgeon from 1963-65; Air National Guard from 1965-68). At least Ron Paul knows about serving his country and war. Can Newt, Rick, Michele, Herman, Mitt or Jon say that? Nope! Why? Because they are cowards and it's easy for cowards to play General with other people’s lives.

  • So since McVeigh succeeded we need to put Americans under surveillance without evidence? No, the dangers that implies are much greater.

  • @JoshSchaffter If an American (or anyone else) fits the profile of a group that has a declared war on the United States (as opposed to people who fall within the sphere of criminal justice, which would be 99.9+% of Americans), then yes, absolutely we need to put him under surveillance without hard evidence. (Note that a person's race alone has never constituted a profile.)

  • RICK PERRY WILL GET MORE VOTES THAN RON PAUL....GAURANTEED....I HAVE FAITH IN MY BOY....PERRY 2012

  • @leandean100 Humm! Let me see. Who is smarter? A doctor or a military officer/farmer/politician? I think I would say the doctor. Oh my god, Perry is a moron. The only smart Texan on that stage is Ron Paul. The only smart candidate running for President is Ron Paul. Liberty, Freedom, and the Constitution: Need I say more?

  • @leandean100 We'll see in January.

  • @leandean100 lmao Mr. i lost my thought...."oops"..

  • Newt wants precrime laws. Those people clapping for the patriot act and the loss of liberty really shocked me. have we really become so cowardly?

  • RON PAUL IS NOT GOING TO WIN !!!!!! YOU PEOPLE NEED TO FACE REALITY !!!! ROMNEY IS GOINT TO WIN IT ALL

  • @leandean100

Fuck reality. With a mindset like yours, yea he has no chance. Wake up like so many others have, and your perception of reality goes to shit.
