@MAXLSSJ Alex Wesker was created to fill an unnecesarily void in the plot, for me there will be only One and Only Wesker, That's Albert, as badass as this song, this game was his last decent aparition before he was turned into a Loud crazy ass from re5....
Don't worry, I hated most things about RE5. Spencer's debut was bogus, Wesker's end was lame, the ending - considering the conclusion it had was disappointing and overall it was an otherwise forgettable experience. I really hope RE6 works out a lot better if it's true that it will be a reboot for the series or a new chapter altogether. RE5 being the ending point for Chris and Wesker's long standing rivalry and everything it encompassed is an incredibly sour note to go out on.

@meg5493 Well, I thought Resident Evil 5 was pretty good just because it had the final battle/struggle between Chris and Wesker. However, it could have had a lot more horror. One of the biggest problems was the lighting in 5: too much. 4 was darker in atmosphere; they should have stuck with that. And no, there are no zombies in Revelations; the T-Abyss virus is a marine virus (water-based), so there will basically be a bunch of sea-based B.O.W.s like zombie fish.
@Videogamer3692 what i hated about 5 was that they changed the returning characters yea lighting was a problem 2 but i want freakin zombies i mean come on seriously they have water based hunters HUNTERS if they have that then they should have zombies i've also seen shots of the game were they have reguler hunters i also dont lik the 2 new characters jessica and whats his face i just want a game with chris and jill as partners Dx
Hey Everybody! I have just released my new electronic album “Sub-Zero” which is heavily influenced by the world of Resident Evil and the music of Masami Ueda and other RE composers. If you're interested you can listen to the full album on my youtube channel, as well as download the album for free!
Wow. I had this song stuck in my head for some reason, but I couldn't remember all of it , so I took my first trip onto YouTube to find Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles music, and the very first song I found was the very one I wanted! Into my Video Game Music playlist it goes! :)
Ok, I'm going to wrap this up Scepticide. You didn't like the game, it wasn't what you wanted, expected or enjoyed. It wasn't what you're used to in the classic Resident Evils. I guess the game wasn't for you then. No matter how much people may say otherwise, I hate World of Warcraft. well maybe not hate I just plain don't like it. it doesn't interest me. So I understand how you feel. But I do realise others do like the game, and my opinions don't make it 'bad'. I wouldn't recomend it though...
@kdreamland - World of Warcraft, another game on the shit list. And you're completely right but unlike Resident Evil 4, I can't take it out of the franchise and still call it a good game. The part I enjoyed most was the Wesker fight because Wesker is amazing. Where you pull the Gem out of Jill of course, but I really do hate this game with a passion. More a side effect of ruining something which dominated a lot of your childhood.
every game that has Wesker and Chris in it Wesker always kicks Chris's ass,i wander who is gonna replace wesker cause since Capcom has given up on Resident evil
Resident Evil 5 was horse shit. The focus on co-op and storyline ruined it for me. I am much more in favour of mutants and zombie throat munching horror than I am these ganado things. They just don't have the same effect. Which is why:
@Scepticide You believe the focus was on storyline...? They practically didn't even give a fuck with half the story, "let's have them unlock files they explain the story as opposed to actually having to look for the files that explain the story." Not to mention we still don't really know what Ouroboros is, Spencer and Wesker being randomly killed off, kinda didn't seem that they were focusing on story when they made RE5
@Scepticide ....Eh? Resident evil 5 was not a BAD TERRIBLE WORST GAME EVAR!!! type game. even you can appreciate the effort that went into it. It wasn't 'classic' resident evil, but it was ok. I liked it. Resident evil 5 is a great two-player co-op action game.
BTW, I tell you what is terrible, this remix of the RE 2 experiment room. I prefer the original. I can see why some would like it.......
@kdreamland - Resident Evil 5 is the worst in the series and a piss poor game. I don't appreciate the effort because I don't support companies killing their franchises like this.
@Scepticide What you mean is YOU don't like the game. The game itself is not a 'bad' game. So if someone asks you for an example of a piss-poor game, instead of showing them Ty the tiger, or Superman 64, you're going to show them Resident Evil 5? Tell me, what's bad about it. The controls? The graphics? The storyline? The gameplay? The AI? The multiplayer? The setting?
@kdreamland - Yes, I'd show them Resident 5 as a good example. Storyline was cliche, predictable and uninteresting. Making Wesker a clone and having Chris kill him, as if he could actually stand toe-to-toe with Wesker? They pissed all over the story. The focus on co-op made the game unenjoyable for a single player and unappealing to the hardcore Resident Evil fan. Many game play mechanics had been edited, you still can't walk and shoot, the menu system was horrible.
@Scepticide Maybe you didn't fully understand the Wesker Project. Albert wasn't a clone, he was born of parents of superior DNA. This made him special because they could only find 13 children for the project, making the occurrence a rarity. Also, the co-op was optional, and the ability to walk and shoot was never in RE to begin with, so if you want to be able to walk and shoot, go play Call of Duty.
I know I'm responding to an old post here but just because you couldn't walk and shoot in RE at first doesn't mean it wouldn't benefit the game to allow for it now. Thankfully Mercenaries on the 3DS allows for this and so will Revelations. RE is not Call of Duty so simply saying "go play call of duty if you want to walk and shoot" is not a viable solution to a problem Capcom could have since easily changed years ago. Better late than never, I suppose.
@KezayJS1 I still say that RE shouldn't go walk-and-shoot. There have been plenty of first-person shooters (Bioshock, Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty to name a few) where running and shooting isn't the best way to hit your target because the odds are you'll miss most of the time. I'm not saying that Call of Duty or Bioshock aren't good games ( although I can't stand Left 4 Dead as opposed to RE), but I think that the "Stand still, target, and shoot" mechanism is best suited for RE.
@kdreamland - (cont.) Gold and stuff just isn't Resident Evil for me, neither was the merchant though as much as I enjoyed him, they cut him out. Manjini and Ganado's are nothing to be afraid off, unlike the zombies and monsters that roamed the streets, having intelligent enemies who gang up and shout stuff and don't look threatening don't scare us like a survival horror game should. Oh thats right, they don't want a survival horror game, they want fucking action adventure.
@Scepticide You can't walk and shoot? That's a staple of the series in my eyes. I hope they don't change it, this isn't Gears of War.
Game play mechanics reamined by and large, very similar to what we had in Resi 4. Did you not like that game either?
The menu system was easy enough for me to navigate, it doesn't seem like it should be too taxing. It's easy to adapt to it. I'm talking about all the menus, the main menu, the ingame weapon menu, all of them.
@Scepticide Cont'/ Gold and stuff isn't Resi for you? That's kinda true, but....you really didn't like it? Seems more of a 'meh' reaction at best.
Manjini and Ganados aren't fearsome? Well, I fear them more than the mindless zombies. Sure, it's not as 'scary', but they're much more difficult to take down.
Now we're getting somewhere. You didn't like it because it wasn't survival horror, it was more of an action game. That's all you needed to say really. But let's continue.
@kdreamland - (cont. 2) The weapons were bland and boring, I didn't even want to upgrade them, I spent most of the time using a shotgun and the knife. Having to trade items between myself and Sheva became real boring real fast. The music didn't add to the atmosphere or scare the shit out of me as it has done in previous titles, infact the atmosphere was like the death of a fantastic franchise. Probably because it is. Graphically it was nothing special, textures were dull and uninteresting.
@Scepticide Uh........Well ok, let's digest what you said bit by bit. This isn't gong to be some stupid reply debunking you for the sake of it, let's examine what you said closely. Ok, so....you didn't like the ending of the storyline. No problem. Different tastes. Personally, every single Resident evil is a little predictable.
Hmm, you didn't like the co-op side of things eh? Well.....maybe you didn't play Resident Evil Outbreak. I thought theco-op really added to the type of game that R5 is
@Scepticide cont 2/? Eh? Why would you NOT want to upgrade them? Stockpiling gold and treasures for no reason? They may bore you, but how does that not make you want to make them more powerful and get through the game quicker?
Yeah you didn't like the menu system.
I liked the music. But you're right. I prefer the music from Resi 2 and Resi: Dc/UC The music is much more scary and enjoyable to me.
@Scepticide Or what about on the ship, when the seemingly dead bodies get up around you silently, and start to attack? It seems to me....perhaps you didn't really,....play the game? just watched someone else play it, or played a little perhaps?
It killed the franchise for you? Final Fantasy 13 was.....again not a bad game, just a very very average one. Ditto Tekken 6. Very very average, and you accept nothing short of outstanding quality. A little harsh....
@kdreamland I really hated Final Fantasy XIII.....it took everything that was good about the Final Fantasy series and threw it in the trash. FVII, FFX, and FFXII I liked because they kept with the tradition of:
1. World Map (FFVII)/Revisitable Locations (all 3)--I only had to keep a few "special saves" for my favorite non-revisitable locations. For FFXIII, the majority of the game is non-revisitable.
2. Airship--in FFXIII, you get a bunch of scenes with an airship, but you never get to fly 1
@kdreamland - (final cont.) Character models and facial animations lacked depth. Infact lip syching was terrible and the tongue movements were highly unrealisitic. Having Chris's arms bigger than his head didn't add any improvement. I prefered his old look from Code Veronica/Resident Evil 1. Simply put I hated this game, it killed the franchise for me, as will the 3DS title because it's just like RE5. I'd say the same about Final Fantasy XIII and Tekken 6 and many games this gen.
@Scepticide The atmosphere wasn't scary, but this was an action game. I already KNEW it wasn't like the classics. Didn't you? You really thought you were getting Resi 3.5 perhaps? (I'm sure you know of this game)
Graphically was nothing special? I find it hard to believe you were actually put off the game by the graphics. You saw the detail of say....the Temple, and you weren't interested? You didn't want to explore it at all? Wow...then how can you stand the bland textures of the classics?
@Scepticide The detail was extensive and the animations of the manjini were better then Code Veronica Zombies. In that game the zombies fall straight on the floor when shot. They don't stagger around like Resi 2.
But you didn't touch on the enemies animations so I won't trap you. The character models seemed a little more detailed then the classics. Not so polygon haped ya know? Chris's arms were bigger than his head? I never noticed.
@kdreamland The detail was good, sure, but zombies are (were) the main enemies of the Resident Evil series. I honestly prefer zombies over parasite-infected enemies.
@Scepticide BTW, you hated having to swap weapons with sheva. Let me tell you, it's freaking easier than in Resident Evil 0 that's for sure. What about the Lickers in this game? Eh? Facing 8 or so at once in Resi 5 is much more intense then two at once in the classics. What about.....sniping the head of one of those manjinis? What about the much more scarier dogs? Dude, did you go in the mine, when there's no light, and manjinis come out of the darkness to attack you? Made me jump I tell ya!
@kdreamland Meh, the Lickers are a bit tougher than in previous games; they don't really seem affected by anything other than a Magnum (even a shotgun they seem to shrug off!), but personally, my least favorite enemy was the Reaper. I can't tell you how many times I got my torso repeatedly impaled! I hated those guys!
@Jake99746 I have a theory that Jill may end up replacing Wesker somehow, since she has been mutated quite a bit now. Or maybe we will go back to good ol zombies somehow?
@Jake99746 You forgot RE5; Chris fires a Desert Eagle in Wesker's face, is able to him with a 5-hit combo, fires a rocket launcher at him and then blows it up in his face, and jabs him in the neck with a serum. Oh yeah, he also gets to go into a kcikass knife combo with Sheva on Wesker's Uroboros form.
@Jake99746 Yeah capcom has given up on Resident Evil. It's totally proven evident by the fact that they recently were working on THREE FUCKING GAMES AT ONCE. Christ are you retarded?
@Jake99746 Capcom hasnt given up, they are just basically redoing everything from the Raccoon City outbreak onwards using "What If?" Scenarios. And judging stuff like Operation Raccoon City, its going to be a third person call of duty type thing. Not really survival horror. So yeah, the original resident evil is pretty much dead.
@ArmySniper1996 It was killed with 4 and 5. Slant Six took the opportunity to mix third person action and a decent spin off. You play as Umbrella Operatives destroying evidence of Umbrella in Raccoon City, all four players are Hunks men. You see Nemesis, Wesker, Birkin, Leon, Claire and a whole list of what if's. This was the game pitched to Capcom that became Left 4 Dead but in a third person style and done by a talented developer who want to see the survival horror side brought back.
@FerretBaron1 WARNING: Highly addictive, side effects may include: glowing red eyes with cat-like pupils, the need of a serum in order to stabilize the virus, and an unnatural need to ramble on about world domination.

Wow...then how can you stand the bland textures of the classics?
kdreamland 1 year ago
@Scepticide The detail was extensive and the animations of the manjini were better then Code Veronica Zombies. In that game the zombies fall straight on the floor when shot. They don't stagger around like Resi 2.
But you didn't touch on the enemies animations so I won't trap you. The character models seemed a little more detailed then the classics. Not so polygon haped ya know? Chris's arms were bigger than his head? I never noticed.
kdreamland 1 year ago
@kdreamland The detail was good, sure, but zombies are (were) the main enemies of the Resident Evil series. I honestly prefer zombies over parasite-infected enemies.
Videogamer3692 10 months ago
@Scepticide BTW, you hated having to swap weapons with sheva. Let me tell you, it's freaking easier than in Resident Evil 0 that's for sure. What about the Lickers in this game? Eh? Facing 8 or so at once in Resi 5 is much more intense then two at once in the classics. What about.....sniping the head of one of those manjinis? What about the much more scarier dogs? Dude, did you go in the mine, when there's no light, and manjinis come out of the darkness to attack you? Made me jump I tell ya!
kdreamland 1 year ago
@kdreamland Meh, the Lickers are a bit tougher than in previous games; they don't really seem affected by anything other than a Magnum (even a shotgun they seem to shrug off!), but personally, my least favorite enemy was the Reaper. I can't tell you how many times I got my torso repeatedly impaled! I hated those guys!

@Jake99746 I have a theory that Jill may end up replacing Wesker somehow, since she has been mutated quite a bit now. Or maybe we will go back to good ol zombies somehow?
MisterVidicus 1 year ago
@Jake99746 You forgot RE5; Chris fires a Desert Eagle in Wesker's face, is able to him with a 5-hit combo, fires a rocket launcher at him and then blows it up in his face, and jabs him in the neck with a serum. Oh yeah, he also gets to go into a kcikass knife combo with Sheva on Wesker's Uroboros form.

@Jake99746 Yeah capcom has given up on Resident Evil. It's totally proven evident by the fact that they recently were working on THREE FUCKING GAMES AT ONCE. Christ are you retarded?

@Jake99746
naw, they did pretty much give up on megaman, though. x(
Cupcom5 4 months ago
@Jake99746 Capcom hasnt given up, they are just basically redoing everything from the Raccoon City outbreak onwards using "What If?" Scenarios. And judging stuff like Operation Raccoon City, its going to be a third person call of duty type thing. Not really survival horror. So yeah, the original resident evil is pretty much dead.
ArmySniper1996 3 months ago
@ArmySniper1996 It was killed with 4 and 5. Slant Six took the opportunity to mix third person action and a decent spin off. You play as Umbrella Operatives destroying evidence of Umbrella in Raccoon City, all four players are Hunks men. You see Nemesis, Wesker, Birkin, Leon, Claire and a whole list of what if's. This was the game pitched to Capcom that became Left 4 Dead but in a third person style and done by a talented developer who want to see the survival horror side brought back.

@858wesker Yes you are; you got your head blown off by two RPG's and the rest of your body got consumed by lava and the resulting explosion.

While different from almost every other Resident Evil track I have heard, it nonetheless carries a haunting beat that just screams RE. Love it! :)

Wesker loves his new drug that Birkin gave him.

@FerretBaron1 WARNING: Highly addictive, side effects may include: glowing red eyes with cat-like pupils, the need of a serum in order to stabilize the virus, and an unnatural need to ramble on about world domination.
