@Seattlecarnut It's nice, come to Jervis bay, we have the whitest beach. (apparently it's whiter than white sands in Queensland)

Ten pound poms were British and some western european migrants to Australia who would only pay £10 to go there. The Australian government paid the rest of their fair provided they stayed at least two years.

I have lived in sydney for three years and wish we still had the ten pound Pom scheme.
@kensington25 What does that mean? I am an American. I never heard that phrase before. If I did I competely forgot. Thank you.
