There is actually no proof of ANY "evolution"
All we have proof of is negative mutations, neutral mutations, and VERY RARE beneficial mutations due to gene mixing done in reproduction.

There are ZERO confirmed shared ancestors connecting us to any of the hominids (neanderthals, homo erectus, homo habilis, ardi, etc) and you can research that on Wikipedia if you like.
Each hominid has its own Wikipedia page
As for the diversity of organism on Earth.....most were brought here from other planets and some were modified and hybridized over MILLIONS of years.
That's why the fossil record is so sporadic and baffling.

@proofandevidence very true, alot of what he says is not acurate, one thing i was more referencing is a study on these lizards that they changed their environment and the whole speices grew longer legs to run from prey, then in the same generation moved them to a tree based rather then ground based environment and the following generation all had shorter legs again as a genetic trait, and was shared by the speices that were of different ancestry in following genertaions
