I seen Merle in concert lastnight. It's his farewell tour. His Son thats in this video was playing lead guitar in the band. He was awsome! Great video by the way!

I cried a little watching this. Great song! I lost my dad to cancer just a short time ago. He wasn't just a great dad. He was my best friend and my fishin' partner. He and I fished together since I was a little boy. And we went to see Haggard together every chance we could. He loved to hear me pick and sing Merle's songs around the house. I never thought about my world without dad in it, it's still hard. Maybe someday I'll be able to bring myself to fish again.

Merle Haggard is one of my very favourite singers. He was a foster child growing up & was not treated the best, so the song "Take him Fishing" is probably something that he always wanted to do with a Foster Father. I heard him talk about his childhood one time & it broke my Heart. Your still the best Hag.
