Part 4: Go to start/ type in search regedit then click edit and find type in libusb0

Part 5: And delete libusb0.sys in system 32 and there might be like one more and delete that one as well.

Part 6: Reboot

Part 7: All Done :D

Hey everyone I just happend to fall in the same trap as everyone about LIBUSB. But for everyone out there still stuck on this problem of having no USB ports working or Drivers installing I have a fix.

To fix:

Part 1: Try just uninstalling in the control panel that has worked before if not do not fear.

Part 2: Go to C:/Program files and program files x86 and look for anything called libusb and delete

Part 3: C:/windows/sysWOW64/ and search libusb should find libusb.dlll and libusb.sys an delete

Libusb is a piece of shit badly written software. I ran it in compatibility mode on Win7 x64, and it disabled not just all my usb ports but ALL serial ports so I had to go buy a PS2  port keyboard/mouse to uninstall it. Screw this.

Ok, I followed the instructions and LibUSB is working. My PS3 controller is recognized by the test app. However, when I go into the game controllers and look at the test page, it still isn't recognizing any of the buttons I press. Basically, LibUSB is working and recognizing my controller, but the controller still isn't working.

It's because you have 32 bit, this is 64 so it will not work.

Just boot into safe mode and if you have a extra keyboard that doesn't connect to the USB, use it!

press the windows key on it and use the arrow keys to navigate your way to the control panel, open it by pressing enter find you way to add/remove window and pres L to quickly navigate to the l section and uninstall LIBUSB.

BTW, no matter how much I try all these guides, NONE OF THEM WORK! I'm on 64-bit vista!

TO EVERYEONE THAT GOT THEIR DRIVERS FUCKED UP! if you have your windows vista installer CD, you can fix it! first go into your BIOS and then make it so your CD drive boots up first then your hardrive. this will make your vista installer cd boot up first, hopefully you created a recent save point 1-3 days befor, and there you go, you will have everything back to normal.

What do you mean wont install watermark? Make sure you are on an ADMIN account. Anything else will not work. This is the only way to get LIbusb to work and is quite advanced.

actually libusb worked before i installed the batch file, i rebooted once without error, but on the second time i booted, i got the blue screen of death relating to the error of the uncopied file.

No it wont do anything, if you read the uninstall instructions all you need to do is uninstall LIBUSB and then open cmd and run bcdedit /set testsigning off
