I have been watching your vids, awesome playing and fat tone vintage guitars.. There is a Levin for sale on ebay, LEVIN PARLOR GUITAR Vintage 1953 Model 28 Nevada Do you think this would be a good guitar for the asking price. Your experience with vintage parlors is much appreciated. Thanks
Hei, hei.
wonderful sounding little boxes played by a blues mamster. I really enjoy listening to your music. Have you tried republic parlor guitars? How much a levin would cost? I've got to get one those...
Hi John, loving these old guitars and have searched high and low but not many coming up in my part of the world, you clearly have too many wanna sell me one?
What do you know about the new Levins? They appear to have some nice, handcrafted ones on their website, but do they compare to the older models? Thank you.
Mr. Bottleneck. I've been searching for the perfect starter to carry around with me to learn some bottleneck and finger picking blues. Naturally I ran into your stuff and have been amazed by the spirit in your music. Any recommendations for a first blues travel guitar for me? Been looking at a Republic Miniolian. Any guidance would be wonderful. And thanks for the inspiration man.
Wow! Many thanks for your very swift reply. Thanks your expert advice- means a lot. I've been looking at regular parlors too, as you suggested. Would you have any to recommend that are in a starter's budget? Something new or something vintage? Perhaps off of ebay? Thanks again! Ever get to LA or to the midwest USA? I'm goin to see Catfish Keith in Iowa City on Friday.
Hi John....nice guitars....and they sound amazing!
I work as a Ships Agent here in Halifax Nova Scotia and we look after the Atlantic Container Lines (ACL) vessels coming from Gothenburg to Liverpool to Halifax etc and one of the European port calls is Gothenburg and most of the crew are from there as well so I guess I will have to be asking some of the crew if they could find me one of these fine examples of a guitar..

Hey RamblerCustom!
I'm very happy to hear those nice comments on my music, thanks a lot!
Well, a Miniolian is truly a great traveller's companion, it's light weight and sounds really cool. Sturdy too!
I guess a small bodied parlor size like these would be fine too..
Good luck and keep checking back this way!!

Tja! Vilken "gitarrårgång" gillar du bäst? Grymt lirat!
philipenstrom 3 years ago
Tackar!
Spelmässigt så föredrar jag de på den andra videon, årgångarna 1918-1907..
Men alla har sin egen röst och de här 1946-1932 funkar jäkligt bra till slide..!!
