They showed only four or five tiny details in this report. Not even the most spectacular details.

They didn´t showed all the hundreds of tiny trucks and cars driving computer controlled around on streets and highways.

Now there´s even an Airport with the taking of and landing aircraft.

But there are so many good videos uploaded here on YouTube, that are giving a much better impression of this amazing layout.

Jesus! I'm not a model raiload enthusiast---BUT this place just earned a spot on my "Bucket List"!!! If you go the MW website; they have a picture gallery that will just blow you away:O Just the cars and taxi's alone at the airport is mind-boggling!!! If my non-existent german is right--the caption said they used 4500 cars for the airport alone :P

This is an incredible model setup. It is more than just trains, with cars boats and now airplanes. The amount of action is mind boggling.

There is one in Flemington New Jersey that is bigger at 50,000 sq. ft. but nowhere near the detail of this one.

at the moment they build a very big airport, with cars, trucks and planes driving around, and the planes also take off/land. On all other parts they built there are already many details, but at the airport, the amount of details is just crazy

@MsFreighttrain the guys who own it call it - der größten Modelleisenbahn der Welt in der Speicherstadt ... for those of you who cant speak/understand german - it means the largest modelrailway in the world in the warehouse-town area (of hamburg).

it is in effect a giant trainset!

anyone watching this - youv just got to go and see it for for yourself - the scale of the model is mind blowing and the amount of detail everywhere is just incredible - that fact that it all works too ... well - only the germans could do this!

miniatur wunderland is in the dock area of hamburg and they have lots of videos on youtube - have a look at miniatur wunderland or MiWuLa.

@RaptureandZune The one in Chicago has 30 trains on 1400 ft of track (according to their website). This layout in Hamburg has 890 trains on almost 40000 ft of track. Just a slight difference there.

They are running ten hours a day ! The little locos are not built for a use round the clock so sometimes they derail ! When the decoder( All engines work on digital system )fails they might have an accident ! These are normal H0 ebgiunes but have to work very hard !
