Trower is god like. saw him in 77 in Niagara falls at the convention centre, then 82 or so at nags head north in toronto, then this year in buffalo. amazing everytime. see him if you get the chance. amazing stuff
I have been a Trower fan since I was about 14 years old and I'm now rapidly approaching 46. I'm open-minded about a lot of music. In fact, I like a lot of stuff out today but IMHO there is nothing that compares to Trower..and Jimmy? Well, that goes without saying. I've never heard a vocalist that tops him. As far as timbre and tremolo, Ray Lamontagne comes pretty close but certainly no Jimmy! Thanks for all these great videos!
oh my!!! another good one,,, thanks,,, ts,, (I miss James Dewar) much as I love Robin and his wonderul,God given talents,,the sound is just not the same without James..
Hey slinger- I hadn't noticed yr copy of this song was yp already- your transfer was def better so i took down the one I posted the other night- thanks I dig this song a lot- btw is ther e a vid of Bridfe of Sighs with the sege into "In this Place" ? I think they played that at Winterland in 74 or 75 but dropped it from the show later-anyway another 5 stars for this one- I just put ip "I Climb above the rooftops? and a cool "Rock me, Baby" I think they are San Rafael vid...
Robin, yeah I have heard they did In this Place live in the early days, but have never seen video of it. I wonder how much dewar video there is left for us to see- the early years were really too early for crowds to have video cameras, but 77-80 it would seem there might be another concert or two floating about. have you got anymore of that ;Day of the Eagle concert, where jimmy is singing only?
It's amazing how well they recreated/performed stud-io recorded songs in "live" settings, especially as a trio. Great RT medley thanks 4 sharing it!--SAMI
Hi my name is Hannah! A couple of days ago , my dad told me that this was the song that he named me after. Hannah, she walks in beauty like the night. that's pretty cool!
....been to a gazillion concerts, don't think I've ever seen any band more times than I saw Trower

I saw some great live Trower from 2008. He's still amazing, him and David Gilmour.

Ha, I've got you beat by a few years on both hearing him first and age.
The Shout takes me back. I bought it the first Friday it was out and my needle nearly made Victims a springy wind spinner ornament.
Hannah has the best line I've ever heard, "Living a lie, wide as the sky".
I do miss the trio.

Awesome. Thanks for posting this. Jimmy Dewar is simply amazing.

The power trio at its finest! Jimmy's vocals are equal to the studio versions on both songs.
What a treat!!! Thanks again T.S.
