  • Very nicely done! They understand the purposes of the moves, which makes it smooth. Good job.

  • It is not a muslim art. A martial art is not muslim, just because the country is muslim.

That like saying Ipods and the Apple company are products of christianity.

  • @Lounio1 .. Silat is a Hindu Martial arts ... before Malay from Malaysia and Indonesia converted into Islam..

  • @plus24seven no, silat comes from egypt, but indians, malaysiens, indonesiens, bruneians & europeans also created their silat techniques too

  • @ZARMAlaMOUCHE2 .. actually Silat is an influence of Chinese Kuntao..and Indian Martial arts, if you have evidence that Egyptian Martial arts has influence in Malay Martial arts, that would be really helpful in my research.... so far I can only trace Malay Martial arts to Indian and Chinese...

  • @plus24seven the figure 4 lock techniques comes from egypt, not india or far east and now silat was evoluted, look at silat suffian bela diri from brunei

  • @ZARMAlaMOUCHE2 .. there are a lot of similar techniques my friend..most martial artist know that but that doesn't mean that Silat came from Egyptian martial arts. I just can't find any evidence that Egypt traveled to South East Asia just to teach them martial arts? it could be arabs but arabs only brought the teaching of islam.
