The reason why there are no working replicas is because the "cheapest" Chinese minute repeater movement is $45,000. So even before markups it'd cost like $50,000 to replicate a minute repeater not to mention the fact that the Chinese minute repeaters are in very limited supply.

what are you saying? that it takes less than 2 months to get a minute repeater from jlc? I said that it takes a couple months...couple as in 4-5 months...if you can even get one. These watch are produced in very limited editions and each jlc dealer gets maybe 1. Have you ever asked your AD for a rare jlc or VC or even patek...it takes a loooong time to get your watch if they don't have it in store.
