  • Hearing John say "mad" (I was laughing so hard my eyes were shut) made my whole night!

  • Eric Idle (the manager) reminds me of Liam Dryden :)

  • Monty Python is the best for foreigners who want to lean rhe dirty words in british english language.

  • Heck with Idle - Carol Cleveland is my favorite Python. Her turn as the mailman collecting housewife in the movie version ("And Now For Something Completely Different") is one of the greatest movie performances of all time!

    YOWWWZA!

  • What about that punch line? You now what I mean, wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Misclicked and pressed dislike. Luckily you can regret simply by pushing the thumbs up! :D

  • How in fucks name were monty python more or less drug-free?

  • This is my favorite ever Monty Python sketch. It's absolutely priceless. Hehe.

  • The waiter is Gilliam, right?

  • No, it's Terry Jones. Terry Gilliam is the American responsible for the animations in the Python series and films.

  • there was light at the end of the tunnel...when THIS...when THIS...HAPPENED!!!

  • 7 people are vicious, heartless bastards!

  • hahaha! That's John Cleese's Fawlty towers!

  • Eric Idle is my favorite Python.

  • And now...the punch line: "Lucky we didn't say anything about the dirty knife!"

  • Go to 3:56

  • o, it makes me mad.

  • he forgot to say please

  • And now ....THE PUNCH LINE

  • Its DIRTY FORK!!!

  • Looking at Terry Jones I see an early indication of the Manuel we all would come to lovel.... John Cleese as the crazy Chef... Is an early form of Basil.... Basically this is the entire Fawlty Towers 12 episodes in 5 minutes. Just genius, all of the Pythons

  • The longer I watch Pythons the funnier it gets for me, another Monty Python Night and I gonna become an addict!

  • @lOo0la: exactly the same here!

  • THE WAR WOUND!!!

  • When 6 people have a negative opinion here, it is incredibly easy to dismiss that viewpoint.

  • @ticnatz indeed. And incredibly difficult for many people to accept that people don't always share the same viewpoints

  • I love how everyone laughed when John Cleese came out, they knew what was about to happen :)

  • #) .

  • monty python flying circussssssssss

  • Only Monty python would compare a slightly dirty fork to a vast bowl of puss! ;)

  • Had an amazingly tiny disagreement with someone on FB, and I thought of this. Jesus, can't people just read a comment and understand it? Anyone would think it was a character assassination.

  • You Bastards!

  • another funny sketch is Cheese Shop. It's one of the best sketches they ever did.

  • Lol. Eric idle saying "it gets me here" just cracks me up

  • me and some of my friends got selected to do some drama day at our school inviting like 6 other schools and we are gonna do this sketch. ITS SOO FUNNY! im the manager! :P

  • gaston!!! la piene est rassis

  • We're doing this sketch in my drama class. I'm playing the waiter and the cook.

  • i'm doing this sketch in german

  • Cleese is like Ramsay :D

  • John Cleese is SO hilarious in this one, especially when he starts his little "mad" routine; I was laughing so hard, my abs got a workout. I skipped my crunches that night.

  • never kill a customser...lol

  • i have a fithly fork!!dont want to make a fuss!!lolto me it like a mountain!!!

  • haha i was the head waiter! are u by chance from EDS..?

  • Omg I remember this sketch! I did this sketch a few years ago in my drama class! I played the manager. That was one of the most fun sketches I ever did. I love this.

  • "No Mungo, never kill a customer"

  • best line EVER on a tv show

  • i love the chef

  • Wasn't there an Indian version of this sketch with the same format?

  • i am doing a Monty python drama camp and in it i play a part in this scetch

  • a long long long time USofA python fan. One of my Favs !!!

  • Both Idle and Cleese's performances are priceless in this sketch.

  • those two guys are my fav :)

  • One of the best sketchs. I'd put it up there with Argument, Silly Job Interview, and Dead Parrot.

  • @jackskellingtonsora and the michelangelo sketch

i can play that on repeat all evening

  • @jackskellingtonsora ...and scottish suicide squad and Ministry of silly walks. And dirty hungarian Phrasebok.

  • "Oh, it makes me mad! Mad... mad...." lol

  • THE WOUND!!!!!!!

  • This is so funny!!!!! Michael Palin is so funny!!!!! It is fun to play the waiter!!!!

  • REVENGE!!!!!!!

  • when john comes out:

    you BASTARDS!

    lol

  • OMFG!!! It's so funny!!!

    watch?v=RgC1ZBSWs_k

  • lmfao.....when terry just comes up and tackles john over the table and things are falling apart and eric stabs himself with the dirty fork..........complete, utter, beautiful chaos

    LONG LIVE MONTY PYTHON!!!

  • Lol the knight with the rubber chicken at the end was so random

  • One of the truly best! I've since jokingly used the word "immediatimum" many times, inspired by this.

Anne Elk is still my #1 favorite.

  • "Don't!!!

    Never kill the customer!!!....

    Aaargh....the wound!"

    xDDD hahahaaa

  • Cleese at 3:29 - pure anger.

  • Anybody see an inspiration for Manuel at 0:56 to 1:15ish?

  • haha! this iss soooooooooooo funny!

  • Hilarious sketch but not much farther from the truth I'm sorry to say.

I onced worked at a high class resturant and they were so anal about EVERYTHING. Everything had to be absolutely perfect even the tinyest detail.

  • good thing we didn't say anything about the dirty knife. LMAO

  • Restaurant sketch! a nice little number, a bit vicious in parts...

  • "You BASTARDS!!!"

    John Cleese just plain rocks.

  • you must say they are creative eh.

  • Ha. I love how the people at the other tables don't even notice what's going on!

  • I don't get the ending. WTH happened?

  • Try watching it again LOL

  • No I mean the chicken and the knight.

  • Ah, sorrry ;-) I hadn't noticed him ...

He was a figure in some of the shows who would sometimes - for no reason at all ! LOL - interrupt other skecthes by walking trough the set and slapping the people in it with that silly rubber chicken - very bizarre sense of humour, I have to admit ;-)

Thanks, I had completely forgotten all about him.

  • Ah, now I seee -it's the restaurant guest who comes and borrows his silly stupid rubber chicken to slap the annoying TV-host on the head. And the knight just stands there looking most astonished - if you can do that in that strange outfit /armour LOL

  • Gaston! Find out who wrote this sketch immediately! I particularly like Michale Palins character in this, for some reason Eric Idle sounds and carries himself differently in this sketch than he does at other times. Maybe because its actually quite an early one...

  • I seriously want to do some of these in class... Great stuff!! XD

  • YAY the rubber chicken!!!

  • I love when John Cleese gets his attacks of rage. Like in Faulty Towers...Classic

  • what a great sketch, so funny. at end what was the thing used to hit the man in red suit on the head it looked weird

  • It was a rubber chicken.

  • one of my favorite sketches!!

  • omggg i'm in a rendition of this in acting class.. i'm the manager !! .. yay i get to kill myself with a fork lol

  • you did this in an acting class? That's awesome!

  • GREAT!

  • ITS THE END!!ITS THE END!!
