  • A bit tappy!

  • I would have started with the mechanics. Then do all the pretty stuff. Sounds like the engine needs some help.

  • looks great......and 50HP can be alot of fun when you enjoy riding the work that you have accomplished.....i just got a basket case CX and i have begun to plan a look for it.

  • Thanxs for the info. I'm in Maine and I don't know of any local vintage guys out here so all the help I can get is well apreciated.

  • nice bike

  • Well done, you must have a great sense of humour. Out of all the bikes to make a cafe racer from you have picked the most unlikely. Hope you have a great time confusing the rest of the local bikers with this one.

  • in the name of god why............?

  • wow nice!

  • Well done.

  • post a video!

  • Hey man....nice start to your Cafe project. I too have a CX Cafe Racer project, a '78 model based in Melbourne. A mate and I were talking of mounting my mufflers in a similar way.

    Rone

  • Mounting your mufflers like that actually rob your bike of speed. it sends exhaust pulses out of the natural vortex that you bike makes while moving forward. Exhaust straight back is best. even modern sports bikes with diagonal exhast have the exhaust tips going straight back.

  • oh well !!!

better pull out next years sbk with this cx then!!

  • Great success!

  • Very nice :)
