I have a LOCKED OUT one arm front lever HOLD in my videos! check it out! it's a very short hold, but I can already hold it longer :) look forward to see the next vid of my crew (the P&GW crew) in may...it will be astonishing! :)
The video of the one arm front lever is "Top 10 Strongest moves of 2009" - it's at 5:37. He lifts up into it but doesn't hold it. Youtube doesn't let me post a link.
John Gill also mentions how when he did the one arm front lever he did it with a slight bend (not as much as yours) in the elbow for shoulder safety, although he mentions that he had no problem holding it with a straight arm besides the shoulder discomfort.
Just checked Hannibal's video and that is an even weaker attempt as he doesn't manage to hold the pose for a split of a second therefore it can't be called a front lever at all. I was clearly uninpressed tbh. So much about that :)
@ableteam The jedimaster is here! Well 1st of all I have to say that it's LAME that you can't take criticism and you just blocked me because you didn'tlike my comment! YOU FAIL MAN! If I were you I wouldn't put up a video showing how I fail doing sg because you damn FAIL to do a 1h FL! In my original comment I wasn't trolling, I was just stating the obvious and it's PATHETIC that you can't accept my opinion. You should train more and work on your 2h FL too as it's quite crap, mine is better :P
@Imjustaguy73 It just happens to be physically impossible to do a one-arm front lever without having your arm bent and your body tilted towards the holding arm. Several people who have been able to do the one-arm front lever have said so.
@qopemail Well I don't think it's impossible just there's noone who can do it :). Some ppl would say that the Maltese (cross) or the Balandin are physically impossible still there are gymnasts who can do them :).
Anyway what this guy is trying here and what Gill was doing are not front levers but rather side(ish) levers with bent arms... :)
@lilgnomejedimaster way to criticize couch potato. If you ever came close to nailing one of these you would know that this is as close as any normal fellow will get. dipshit.
I cant post a link, just search "top 10 strongest moves of 09" and its the first video on the top with the black guy wearing the blue vest. Then skip to 5:30 to see the 1 arm front levers
i also saw hannibal's right now , he really does it with a one straigh arm , but its a rep , he doesnt hold it not for one second , but then again his body is completely out of proportion with no leg training whatsoever .
how is your victorian training going? i think you are going to make it
search youtube for "top 10 strongest moves of 09" and click the first video. his part is at 5:31 but you might as well watch the whole video cuase its epic
Yea, I wish. I've tried a couple of times on a bar at chest height and was able to push high enough for my feet to slide under. I can't even begin to imagine what it would take to hold this position, talk about un-possible.
I was rock-climbing for a few years when I went to John Gill's website and was blown away at all the records he has. Look at the rope climbing, 20 ft. in 2.8 seconds and 25 ft. in 4.2 from a sit, one finger one arm pullups with each finger of each hand including pinky and thumb! Talk about BEAST! I didn't know the 1 arm front lever was possible either till I saw it on that website, I just wish there was a video of him getting into it.
So do I. I'm sure we would all pay big money if it made it possible. I would easily pay $200 a piece for a 20 minute video of Gill and Benincasa in their prime.
The close to impossible: You must need a brute grip to overcome the torque. It might not even be possible for someone over 160.
@ableteam I can't remember where I read it, but I'm pretty sure Brad Johnson also worked up to doing one armed chins using any one of his fingers or thumbs. Watching your videos, I'm sure you're not far off!

Wasn't John Gill able to do pull ups from the one-arm lever position?
CantNoScope 6 months ago
@Cchallenge HFK doesn't hold it. He only does a one arm front lever pull. Don't compare the two.

Hannibal 4 king is doing a front lever pull up not a front lever hold! are 2 different things!
illusionist0505 1 year ago
@illusionist0505 wrong, he does a front lever pull. A one-armed front lever pull UP would be something quite spectacular.
qopemail 11 months ago
@qopemail my mistake sorry! i wanted to say a pull not a pull up!:D
illusionist0505 11 months ago
@illusionist0505 hannibal's front lever hold is bad, and the pull up is funny.. bad.
