I want to race one of those at my local track but they wont let us. Cars v Cars bikes v bikes... sucks... but i wanna line up to a stage 4 STi and see what my GSXR could do
I just took my wifes 2006 sti just 18's on hankook tires and a bov. It has a slight boost leak. But I did 13.34 at 100mph with a 1.778 60ft on my first run! I figure i leave it at that cause of the boost leak. I took my cobra to the track that was 100% and just ran that. My buddies stay high 12s with the sti. Im sure i can get a 12.9 out of it!
nice man i have im stage 2 and then some and your still getting better times than me and my 60 foot is also 1.8....whats your altitude? im running 13.7 but i got a new tune i just havent ran it lately i need to go see what it clocks at....anyways nice ride
@theRealSubaruDude 13.5 is what the car is rated at. I was running 13.5 consistently, and I finally managed a really great launch. Ran a 1.8 60'. Shifting is also key. I heard rumor of an 09 hitting a 12.9 with a 1.7 60' stock!
@theRealSubaruDude Your 60' is junk for AWD, that's why you are stuck at 13.5. I'm talking out of my ass of course because i've never owned or driven an STI, but I can pull consistent 1.95 - 2.05 60's in fox body mustangs with bald 205 all-season tires. Did it with the old '82 and now the '92. That's just feathering the clutch and gas for 20 - 30 feet to avoid hwheelspin. You have AWD so just hit it as hard as you can without bogging.
Good run man, i like those wheels. Wish I could launch like that, every time i slip the clutch it reeks of clutch really bad when i get done with my run. Do you have the same issue?
@iikon69 I never have that issue. Just try and release the clutch on the upswing when you're blipping the throttle. Don't try and gas it too high on the RPMs and your clutch should hold up just fine. =)
@BlueAngelWRX , cool. I was waiting to see a blue 09 sedan with gold wheels...I like the way they look on past models but wanted to check them out on our model before I decided to go out and purchase them, thanks. What RPM did you launch at in that video by the way?
The red looks pretty nice there is one in my area. My hatch is Obsidian Black Pearl... I just love black cars. Look so good clean...too bad I live in Syracuse and we salt the roads like crazy. Check out the back of my car in my exhaust video. haha

Wheels are XXR 962s rated at 26lbs per rim with nitto neogen 235/40 tires rated at 23lbs per tire.

I just blipped the throttle from 3500rpms to 4000rpms and rolled out on the clutch.
