This is one hardass level in the sense that it is hard to execute. The puzzles are really easy. It is not included in the list of 2 levels for which I had to use an LP (YAY ME!!!)
/facepalm x 20. I feel like an idiot. It never even occured to me that you could just go over the spike pit, i kept getting screwed over because i used the tall ladder. unbeknownst to me that latter isnt needed at all

I have an hint for the Fickle Companion, to those who still want to enjoy the fun of solving the puzzle by yourself:
The key behaves normally when you are going forward, however, if you walk backwards, the position of the key starts to rewind. The voice of grasping a key is the hint to let you notice this.
i had the respawn get the fucking key trying to bounce em up just right.. worked once and only once and killed em before the right ladder ... thank you for saving me such pain
I never should have downloaded this game lol. My brain apparently doesn't understand the concept of time manipulation. Some of those puzzle pieces are extremely difficult to get to.
Every time I jump on the creature in the middle platform - when he holds the key - the key appears at the bottom platform! I jump on him facing right. :\!
i figured it out w/o resorting to youtube but it took me about an hour to pull of the 2nd puzzle piece (2nd one in video, first one in the level). God this game gets so much harder progressively.
hahaha, I solved this another way! By letting the dude kill you as soon as the blob thing jumps down from the ledge with the door locked, let it jump on top of your head. He will then get over that little bump to the left of where you should be standing. Now quickly reset time, and since the monster is green he's immune. Jump over the bump/block and go up the first ladder. Then you jump down on the monster and it will give you the height you need to bounce back up with the key in your hands! :)
This level is not random at all. When you go to the left, the key will go to the exact location you were at when you originally moved to the right.
For the piece on the left side of this level, he started on the middle platform. He moved to the right and fell off. He then moved to the left and when he did the key moved back up to the middle because that's where it was originally at when he first moved to the right.
Make sure you hit the goomba on the left side of the ladder.
I had a terrible time speed running this level just because it seemed so random getting the key away from the guy on the platform. The easy way though is to climb partway up the top ladder and kill the guy from there. Then you're holding the key and already on the ladder.
it still doesn't work for me. I can get it to the last step but I can't take it up that final ladder. This is the only puzzle I've resorted to youtube for and I still don't get it
