  • best anti war song ever, it's got a clear message and it's played from his heart!

  • dear jeremy, clearly you don't understand how long, expensive, and complicated the process of withdrawing from a war is. It is not as simple as just leaving.

  • @Brittanyfatale hahaha. good song but that made me laugh.

  • @Brittanyfatale - true. quadrupeling your troop presence in the middle east and you military funding in less than a year definitely doesn't seem to support that idea that any form of withdrawal is in the works...or even in consideration.

  • @Brittanyfatale lol we are still withdrawing... For a couple years now?

  • @Brittanyfatale so you want iraq to be the next germany? troops fully removed by oh say a century later?

  • expressing your feelings about anything politics etc is what we are all about nobody out there listens anyway, so if singing is going to do it so be it politicians after all are spending our goddamn hard earned money so we can express ourselves any which way. We read all the crap in the papers tv loads us up with crap so sing it Joshua i have been listening

  • This song could now be about Obama.

Obama is not anti war, just look at what he has done in Afgahan and iraq. NOTHING. People and troops are still dying. Not the CHANGE I wanted.

PS. please do not reply to me with some lame ass excuse about why Obama is still in the wars, I have heard them all and I don't care. Obama lied about wanting to leave Iraq

  • @jeremy8080 lolol well I will make my reply to this short and sweet. Obama wanted to leave Iraq and the state department told him that he was basically going to stay in Iraq. The same thing happened with Harry Truman, the state department is believed to have forced him to drop nuclear bombs on Japan, seeing as he had no clue the bombs even existed until he became president in 1945.

  • Definitely this song is about Bushs America.

I saw it played live once, and it nearly broke my heart.

  • theonekid012, you have no idea what you are taking about. Obama has spent more in his first year in office then Bush did in 6 1/2 years. Get some good facts before you start posting.

  • yeah good song and i might be wrong but i heard somewhere that bush spent more money in eight years than all the other presidents combined thats including two world wars and a depression what the hell is up with that

  • this song is beyond amazing

  • hyprlit3b0arder:

you dont like it when an artist gets political?

    hes just expressing his feelings!

and beautifully, if you ask me

    thats what art is

    expressing your feelings

  • bush if a fucking piece of shit

  • The correct lyrics are:

Have you ever seen the President who killed your wounded child?

Or the man that crashed your sisters plane claiming he was sent of god?

Obvious reference to the war, and another to 9/11. The train he wanted crashed was Bush's America. And amen to that.

  • I don't understand what he means by presidents' sister plane crash lyrics..

  • "Or than man, that crashed your sister's plane... claiming he was saving God."

    .

  • if any of you think his lyrics are childish aren't really looking at the lyrics that closely. look for the deeper meaning and you will see how chilling and deep this song is.

  • did he say war?

  • yes. eventhough the lyrics are somehow childish. all the intensity he puts while singing it makes it so sad and so pretty. love it.

  • Childish? Are you serioius? They're really deep.

  • deep? i mean he's talking about war and death, yes. but it sounds like something a 16 years old would write. not much perspective or poetry. the lyrics are just... simple.

and my comment was not negative. i like the song. the way he sings it change everything.

  • i get what you mean. dont agree with the use of childish to describe it, but simple works. it is just a simple song, but with a lot of heart...

  • what a comment :D

  • the lyrics ARE NOT childish at all.

    I've see Joshua live twice,

and everything that he writes and puts fourth is not.... and will never be childish.

    If you need to,

take some time and think the lyrics through.

It's a very, very personal... and deep song.

And the song may be simple to YOU...

but he and his music are extreamly complex... and he is a very loving person.
