  • I may have an unique way of being an atheist. I do believe in God, but not in the common sense of God. God is like Love. We can feel Love, and we see incredible manifestation of Love everyday. No one could deny the existence of Love.

God is a powerful force that enables people to accomplish amazing things, feats that are impossible without believing in God. However, God cannot exist without humans to conceive it. Once humans become extinct, God will cease to exist.

  • Very Good and well thought out.

One little thing it is suggestive that atheism is a belief or belief system.

Athesits are varied in what they believe, thier Atheism is just a non acceptance of the deitys offered up by the many con artists and thier organisations. It is not holding a religious belief.

It may be minor but I think important as theists try to pretend it is a belief and therefore a competeing belief. When it is the result of critical thinking and often reading the bible.

  • @ atheists

God is real, god is present, Jesus died for your sins, god loves you even tho u deny him, believing on the name of the son of god, and accepting Christ as your savior will get you into heaven..you can choose to deny or say the bible is a old book that nobody uses and god is make believe but the fact is, you can't prove that and no matter how hard you try u will never disprove god cause he's real..Jesus loves you!

  • @loganness101

The burden of proof is not on the disbeliever to prove a god doesn't exist.

It is simply not enough to make the claim "god is real" with absolutely nothing to back up your claim except your convictions, and expect anyone to believe you.

I can say "Santa is real." There..does saying so mean he is? Of course not.

As far as your claim that atheist say that nobody uses the bible, that's nonsense. I'm an atheist and I'm rather fond of 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7.

  • "When children are armed with critical thinking, they will not be using faith to delude themselves with bad ideas." . . . yup, you said it, LOVE is definitely a bad idea. Who would want to delude themselves to believe in hope, faith, and love?

  • @rhylynd

Hope by itself is nothing more than wishful thinking. Now, if you combine hope with ACTION, then hope becomes a good idea. "I hope we find a cure for cancer" < would be meaningless if we weren't actively searching for a cure.

Faith is believing in something for no good reason. Bad idea.

Love is an emotional attitude/state of mind we already recognize by the actions of others. Why call it anything else but love?

  • "In physics, a force is any influence that causes a free body to undergo a change in speed, a change in direction, or a change in shape." OK?? what does that tell us? nothing. You people dont seem to understand that physical science admits the existence of outside immaterial forces. And they also admit that physical science can ONLY study effects of the universe, and look at how they relate to each other.... thats it. there is no TRUTH in physical science, and they admit it.

  • @Alkhemist10 you understand its impossible to know if there is or isn't a god. arguing about it just makes you sound like overzealous fucktards

  • @Raphinater yeah i agree, so what is this guy in this video? An overzealous fucktard. show me ONE single argument that logically disproves intelligent design. you cant. Atheists, all you can do i bash on religious dogmas, you have no evidence, proof, or logic to support your belief. I know at least 5 arguments off the top of my head that reasonably show intelligent design is the logical choice. But atheists are ignorant. so please dont say god dosnt exist without an intelligent argument to back

  • @Alkhemist10 umm, maby tsunamis that fuck up entire nations? doesnt sound like god planned out too well. there is no way to prove intelligent design. but plz tell me your reasons

  • @Raphinater Tsunamis that fuck up nations, thats why a god dosnt exist? This what what atheists resort to, all subjective answers. I didnt say i can prove intelligent design, but i can show how it is logical. For 1, We, and other animals have brains. For a universe to produce mind, intelligence, it is LOGICAL to assume the universe has mind, because it is unreasonable to assume a universe can produce something it does not contain. 2. we have natural laws, gravity, inertia negation, evolution etc

  • @Alkhemist10 that doesnt prove intelligent design either. You understand we haven't been around very long? a few hundred years ago we could simply have said that getting sick was simply god's rath and vengeance dished upon his people. We now know exactly what causes sickness. I am very confident that within a few hundred years, many of these things will be more clearly explained. just understand that your points prove jack shit

  • @Raphinater They dont, but there a lot more logical that saying god dosnt exist becuase people suffer. With all our scientific advances, we still cant stop a common cold. Modern physical science admits the neccessity of a superior active force because they have found all matter to be passive. What is this force that drives passive, brute, dumb, senseless, unconsious matter, and gives it the qualities of motion, senses and consciousness?

  • @Alkhemist10 we know exactly why we cant fight off the common cold and i hope you do too. hey, remember im not on either side. I believe religion is a bunch of crap, but im not atheist, im agnostic and that is the only sensible thing to be in my opinion. We simply cannot know we can have hunches and things that make some sense, but we dont know for sure, or even close.

  • @Raphinater i mean a CURE to the cold. physical science can only study effects and look how they relate. "The formation of the microcosm is in accordance with the formation of the macrocosm, to perform the miracles of one thing. And as all things arose from one, by the meditation of one, so all things have their birth in this one thing by adaptation" -isaac newton

  • @Alkhemist10 exactly, physical science, like us, do not have the ability to see what is going on. It is unknown therefore there is no certainty.

  • @Raphinater Because atheism requires as much faith as believing in a book. If you dont believe in god, which is what an atheist means, than fine. But when you say there is no god, you have to back up that claim, which you simply cannot do. I can say there is god, and explain why that is logical. All you can do is say well i dont believe it. ignorance, denial, stupidity, whatever you want to call it, just dont make claims without a supportive argument

  • @Alkhemist10 you can explain atheism logically also (im not atheist), why do so many people die/ suffer? tsunamis and natural disasters, etc. there is no true evidence in either direction. ITS AN INVISIBLE BEING WITH WHICH WE HAVE NO ABILITY TO COMPREHEND WITH OUR CURRENT SENSES.

  • @Raphinater are LAWS, laws imply ORDER, order implies MIND. randomness creating any order whatsoever is a mathematical improbability.

  • What you say is natural way thinking is really your born nature to be bent towards sin. So yes you will naturally go the wrong way. Before i became a Christian I had to make a choice in my life which way will I go. I can either do whatever feels good or I can live for the God of the bible and still live a great life. You all paint a picture that Christianity is boring and a bunch of rules. Well I disagree I have plenty of fun. So let's say for a moment i am 100% wrong and you are right. Well I

  • @jackoe123 What if you're wrong? What if Jesus is real? What if he loves you so much that even when you insult him, he still allows you free choice to be who you want? What if it hurts him to see your lack of faith? Maybe he's crying because he knows that Satan has you and it hurts him to know your future role after death? If anybody wants a good understanding of religion watch this video.

Fritz Springmeier - The Top 13 Illuminati Bloodlines & their Mind Control

There is a real way "Christianity"

  • We are all born atheist anyway and if one teaches their children critical thinking and give them reasonable explanations for their answers they will usually stay atheist just because it is the rational thing to do. Do not introduce them to religion, if they ask about religion tell them the truth about it. If your child is being picked on because they're atheist tell them to defend themselves like this "But...you believe in magic and a super hero"

  • It's so simple. Atheists just don't blindly believe something until there is proof to back it up.

  • Please click my name and watch my anti-religion song. WARNING to Christians: It mocks your entire being, your pedophile leaders and all of Hypco-cristianity. So only watch it if you can handle seeing everything you believe in being exposed as an evil cult...all done with wit and charm of course.

    Yea, I know, I'm a Troll...but I'm really proud of the video.

  • Dude, you are implying that atheism is some kind of belief system. That is not true. Atheism is not belief, but a lack of belief

All religious people are atheists with respect to all religions except their own, and an atheist just goes one god further

You don't TEACH atheism, you don't NEED to. You just teach rationality and critical thinking. Atheism will follow organically. Why? Because no child will believe in a talking snake unless he is brainwashed into it

  • @alkhemist10 atheism dose not try to disprove god we are presented by theists with the argument for gods excistence since there is no proof we dont believe he exists. and to answer the rest of what you said. evolution

  • very useful

  • FACEPLAM

    Therefore atheism is true! LoL!

  • there is absolutely NOTHING you could possibly say that comes close to disproving GOD. religious dogmas are one thing, but to deny the existence of intelligent forces driving nature. exact science cant even agree with each other. HOW do we as humans have minds if the univers didnt have an intelligence that would provide it?? Did we get it on our own? are we superior to the universe? what is life-force? Matter couldnt move without forces moving it Fact. so what is force?? atheists are so retarde

  • Ok, so you are saying that in order for intelligence to exist, it must receive it from another superior intelligence

So WE can't attain intelligence without the help of an intelligent creator

    Also

The intelligent creator cant attain HIS intelligence without the help of an intelligent super-creator

So if you call the entity that created us God, what do you call the entity that created God? Super God?

And what about the entity that created Super God?

  • i have a question for any of you dumbass atheists if you wish to answer. what is Force? what is mind? what is life? : )

  • "What is force, what is mind, what is life?"

According to Newton's second law, Force = Mass x Acceleration

Mind is what the brain does. the brain is the hardware, the mind is the software. The brain is like a computer, the mind is like Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Word

Life is the biochemical process whereby a complex entity capable of replicating itself exists

  • @Alkhemist10 there are very sound scientific explanations and definitions for force, mind and life, but the accurate response to your question is this; What I am reasonably sure of is that religion/god is not the answer to your question.

  • @Alkhemist10 The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us, penetrates us, and binds the galaxy together.

  • @JuiceBoxheero force is also potential energy

  • @Alkhemist10 What is your reason to say "dumbass atheist"? After all, people with higher education tend to be more atheist, or are able to have good critical thinking. So I think it is the atitude of a dumbass to come here, and start insulting people of certain belifs/ideas. If you seek knowledge, you should ask politely.

  • most of the gods were flushed down the toilet 5000 years ago. the remaining gods became powerless and had to hide from humanity.

  • Very well said!

  • So how do you raise a kid to be an atheist? You simply protect him or her from indoctrination into any particular religion, and help him or her to learn to ask questions and think critically. They'll do the rest themselves.

  • our family is atheist.when someone dies, i tell my children (3 and 7) that they are burried in the ground and they help the flowers grow, so next time they see a pretty flower they can think about the person or pet they lost.i think its a little better alternitive to telling them nothing happens.and its the truth.

  • @10000WaTtcHeRoKeE to suggest that atheists should not teach their children what they think is a great example of what is wrong with religious thinking.

For starters, we atheists are raising our children to think critically. Thinking critically means looking at religions with a very reasoned and logical mindset. When children are armed with critical thinking, they will not be using faith to delude themselves with bad ideas.

  • @emeryemery U just pwned him lol. nice job :D!!!

  • @QuestionAll1 PWNED me? LOL... no he did not... i call atheists dumbass because they are. To assume the universe can blindly, randomly, unconsciously produce order, consciousness, and mind is illogical, and only a dumbass would assume that. You cant prove god exists, and you cant disprove it, but id rather be on the side or reason and logic rather than denial and ignorance

  • @Alkhemist10 First of all, you need to relax, second of all, you are a stupid idiot to make such claim. Consciousness and mind is NOT a product of the beginning of the universe. It would probably go under Biology, not Cosmology. 2nd. The universe does have order, as far as we know, but there are still many things unknown. laws begin to break down near a blackhole for ex. And there is no evidence for god, so why believe in it?

  • @Alkhemist10 I am not a dumbass, thank you. Have you ever possibly thought that you are the ignorant one for insulting a massive group of people knowing nothing about them? Maybe YOU are the ignorant one for instead of accepting that people have different points of view, you insult them and force your nonsense upon them. Emeryemery was not directing this towards you. Someone asked him a specific question. If you don't like it, don't watch it. Your disrespect is not needed.

  • @10000WaTtcHeRoKeE ...that brings us to your absurd suggestion that atheist parents should either not have children or convince them to be christians, "just in case!". This illustrates a lack of understanding on your part that is absolutely disturbing.

Do you think Muslin people should not teach their children what THEY believe?

How about Buddhists, Hindus or Jews?

As a Christian, your belief says that all these groups are going to burn in hell for eternity.

  • We Atheists think that teaching children the lies of your religion is very very harmful on may levels. The violence, murder, racism, sexism and contradictions that fill the bible are fear mongering that fill children with great anxiety and insecurities that last not just a lifetime, but throughout generations.

So we do not think teaching children to be Christian just in case there is a God makes any sense. Besides, what if the Mormons have it right, or the Jews or Muslims? You makes no sense!

  • @10000WaTtcHeRoKeE You presume an awful lot. I'm an atheist who married a woman with four children, who had been abandoned by her Christian husband. I was willing for her to continue with the church and the children too, as long as no one expected me to. Well, the church excommunicated her when they found out she was dating me, and then had the nerve to come around trying to take the kids away to be indoctrinated. We wouldn't let them, unless the kids wanted to go. Only one chose to. (cont.)

  • @10000WaTtcHeRoKeE As an atheist parent, I made did not indoctrinate my adopted kids with any ideology at all. I made sure they learned about science, and I told them they were free to go to any church they wanted, and even encouraged them that if they wanted to, to explore different religions. Only one chose to. However, the church my wife was excommunicated from FORCED their children to go to church. I find this is fairly typical of theists. Their children are told what to think. (to be cont)

  • @10000WaTtcHeRoKeE I'm not sure it's possible to indoctrinate your kids with a non-belief. There are no atheist priests, hymns, churches, threats of eternal damnation or bribes of eternal paradise with atheism. It's not even a world view. Do you need to indoctrinate your kids into not believing in Zeus? Like myself, every atheist parent I know has not forbidden religion from their children, although they are open about their non-belief and refuse to allow their children to be indoctrinated.

  • @10000WaTtcHeRoKeE So, what has been the result of my raising of my four stepdaughters? None of them were indoctrinated into a religion. So their beliefs have become their choice. Only one considers herself a Christian I think. The other three are still finding their footing philosophically. I think they will wind up as deists, agnostics or atheists, but whatever, it won't be because they were "always a Christian" and taught or brought up as a Christian. It will be a free choice on their part.

  • @10000WaTtcHeRoKeE we get hell anyway for free. and judging from the way the god in the bible acts, if he says satans not like him, ill take my chances in hell.

  • @10000WaTtcHeRoKeE I just want to back emeryemery up here... Not that I think he needs it but because I just can't stop myself... So, you're saying that atheists don't have a right to bestow their believes upon their children, unlike christians, am I right? What you're suggesting is that faith is the natural and the right option, and that by teaching our kids to be critical of religion, and not believing something without evidence, we are denying them this natural and above all, right option.

  • @10000WaTtcHeRoKeE ... Whereas christians, teaching their kids christianity, are just giving the kid the natural and right option of having faith. If this was true, then why shouldn't you just let them make their own choice, according to your view, they would still choose that natural and right option. If it's not an atheist's business whether his kids are religious or not then why is it the business of a christian parent?

  • @10000WaTtcHeRoKeE the way they describe the afterlife in the bible i wouldnt want to be a part of it. It sound like hell to me. And if i did want to be a part of it dosent mean i should believe in it if the facts dont back it up. People who believe in a false reality is schizos. Deal with the facts, not the fact that afterlife sound cool. Flying in the air like superman is nice, dont u want to be a part of that, so y dont u believe u can fly. Up Up and away.

  • Has raised children with approach #1. They are joyful, empowered, and kind. They are the future. :D

  • The Friendly Atheist's blog posted a method for teaching Skepticism to children. If you hadn't read it, check it out. It's a simple method dealing with money. Tell them you have 10 dollars, them believing you, then showing them you actually have 100. In short it ends with them knowing to ask for proof before accepting an answer as truth. It was interesting.

  • if you are an atheiest you dont have to teach them anything. religious people teach their kids farytales.

  • @externalpower As they become teenagers you have to teach them where humanity came from and how it grew, changed, and developed. History is of course bound to repeat itself if you dont educate them on how it happened. Religion is a part of human history and cannot be ignored. It CAN be changed however.

  • @AlphaBrenda1 you need religion like you need to teach a kit to kill itself. grow up and get rid of your fantasyland.

  • You Fools? Have you never heard the true voice of GOD? Did u not know he is almighty and the only living and true GOD? Have he never spoke to any of you before? FEAR GOD only he can send u to a "planet" that is not fit for Rats.

  • "jesus" Never Was Real Fact

  • "Focus on the fact that you have eighty good years to eat life up." Thanks to science. If the religious nuts had it their way we'd live to our thirties because the bible tells you to rub goat liver on your face to cure leprosy or what have you.

  • Don't force any belief system on any child. Let them decide for themselves. This method teaches them to think for themselves. People who think for themselves are always Atheists. So, as a result, your children will become atheists.

  • Your awesome. Keep up the good fight!

  • That's sad how can you turn your flesh and blood away because they didn't believe in God. God would say they were wrong for that.

  • Are you certain you would? Because you will see when God removes His Holy Spirit. You will be able to test that. For you see you have the restrainer that also puts a hold on some peoples emotion. But the time when all Hell will break loose and people will have the law of the UN to restrain them. If your children are young enough they will go in the rapture. But you will be here to wish you were in Heaven.

  • How do you know right from wrong. You don't tell them that their sins can be forgiven. You are doing wrong. If I subscribe to what you are telling me? I could find you and kill you because their are no moral absolutes. Your right and wrong and my right and wrong are two diffrent things. I believe that if you take a life you forfeit your own. The way God intended. But you ransoming Your childrens future on your word and it will come back to bite you harder than you could imagine.

  • @lookout5610 Are you saying that without a belief in God, you would murder people and not know whether it's right or wrong?

  • science doesnt have to proove anything in relation to god theists have to proove gods existense. i totaly agree with you

  • im the third party, i hate both sides, AHHHH

  • #3 is the best choice. good vid

  • Emery, this is Sarah, Laneys good friend from Oklahoma...we met only one time, so I don't know if you remember me or not! :) I'm glad I ran across this video and wished I had seen it a few months ago. I don't know if Laney told you or not, about my son (age 11) and his friend, whose parents banned him from their property, for not believing in god. That was a struggle, and I suppose it's just the beginning, but we handled it well, I think.

Was this video in a direct response to someone?

  • @sarabeth73132 I remember hearing her talk about that incident. I recall suggesting some ideas that were a bit too radical.

This video was a response to a gentleman who had said he was Atheist and wasn't sure how to explain his beliefs to his future children and he asked other Atheists to offer advice.

  • @emeryemery Haha...what were the suggestions? She didn't tell me! We were texting earlier and I told her just last night one of my mothers neighbors made a comment to my son about seeing his grandfather in heaven...I just looked at him, I honestly didn't know how he would react. He just simply said, "I don't believe in heaven or hell, but thank you anyway"...I couldn't have been prouder. Although, I got an earful from my mother about how I "brainwashed" him! I just laughed in response...

  • Science and Religion are linked....Science can only explain so much though, religion explains the rest. It's hard for me to think the way you do because I just can't believe how the sun, trees, people & etc got here. You're a different person..unique..and you even have different patterns on your fingers. Look at the universe, the way it's structured...every creation has a creator. I know deep down you really want proof and one day you will...

  • @disbratdd Two points.

    1. How do you explain the highly complex God you believe in? Who or what created God?

    2. Because you cannot understand it does not mean God made it. There are far greater men and woman than you who understand it clearly. Millions.

By your logic, highly mentally disabled, downs syndrome individuals make the alphabet one of the greatest mysteries of mankind that can only be explained through belief in the magical dust faires that live in their closet.

  • @emeryemery

I'm not trying to insult you as a person, but the "who or what created God?" question is so overused. You're making an assumption, based on Atheistic ideas, that nothing can exist forever. In the Bible, the primary religious text of Christianity, God is an infinite being that exists outside of space and time. I understand this concept goes against everything that you believe, but you've used this question multiple times in your comment. I don't think it's a logical question.

  • @Enchingo Science has a mountain of evidence that continues to pile higher and higher.

I say who made your God to @disbratdd because he or she said, " It's hard for me to think the way you do because I just can't believe how the sun, trees, people & etc got here."

That person has a logical disconnect when they use God to explain how we got here because they cannot believe we got here any other way yet they can buy into the absurd suggestion that God is forever.

  • @emeryemery

    Thanks for replying.

  • @Enchingo well you theists' argument of us atheists taking things out of context from the Bible is overused, too. Hypocrite much?

  • @66gt40lm

I don't remember claiming to be a theist. I would much rather call myself an agnostic. If I do believe in a god, it surely isn't the god of Christianity. I think that a god would work on a much more complex level than something as primitive as reward and punishment. You assume that I'm a theist because I have knowledge of the Bible?

  • @Enchingo Not that you "know the Bible", just that you referenced it answering that question. Why would you use an example defending "where God came from" from a book you supposedly don't believe. Don't quote that idiotic book as a response for a question you are answering if you don't believe it? Oh, and theists ask the same question to us "where did the universe come from?" all the time

  • @Enchingo Primitive as reward and punishment???? Name something that has affected this world more? Everything is based upon good and evil. Evedince that you know of good and evil is evidence of Genesis. The bible talk about the knowledge of it being only in Humans, oh wow! The bible spot on again. Its amazing. Not seen an animal question another about his greed or lust or murder, have you?

  • I didn't think there was anyone on youtube more retarded than Pat Condell.

  • very nice my good sir

  • I have a son who hears the atheist point of view from his Mom, and the spiritual point of view from me, and the three of us often have lively debates. My wife & I get along great in spite of our different beliefs, and we raise our son to be a critical thinker and to decide for himself, based on the evidence and on his experiences, and not based on what anyone else says or believes, and certainly NOT based on ridiculous old texts full of fairy tales that cause so much war and pain in the world.

  • @WhistlersBrother is a hero in my book. Absolutely wonderful! If I ever meet you, I want to hug you, sir.

  • @emeryemery Hugs back at ya. I'll never forget being raised Catholic, how much I hated the fact that I was never given a choice what to believe, and I always knew if I ever had kids someday, I would never expect or imply they should believe what I believe. I just want my son to think for himself--the more you think, the more you question. The more you question, the more religion falls apart. (That's why they prefer to do all the thinking for you.) Thanks for the kind words! GREAT VID!!

  • @WhistlersBrother I agree - the more you think, the more you question. Religions such as Catholicism has caused many that don't know God to feel the way you feel. I hope that someday you will see Catholocism or any other religion is not the way - it is about a relationship w/ God. You can't have a relationship w/ God w/out Christ therefore you can not understand the nature of God.

  • @talon439 That was my big problem with Catholicism. It's like a book of rules & rituals for scared little children but it never got to the heart of the matter. I disagree though regarding Christ being the only way; there are many paths that lead to the top of the mountain. I tend to agree w/ atheists about 97% of the time actually. LOL But I do believe the Universe is the manifestation of a vast omnipresent consciousness. (The God of the Bible just isn't for me.) We'll have to agree to disagree.

  • great key words for christians...."critical thinking"

  • @junkrocker True my brother...same goes for athiest.

  • @talon439 ...ahhhh.....yup, hence the atheism...

  • athiesm is not abelief!!!!!it simply living life with out aside of bullshit

  • @natancoop so you don't believe there is no God?

  • i was and i am still being brought up like this. my dad told me, do want you want, it's your beliefs and you can believe how you want too.

  • I am/plan to do both one AND two. I think it should vary depending on the individual child and their age and personality.

  • Science???

Take all parts from a car seperately. Put them in a centrifuge. Add some water, oil, gas and paint to it. Then turn the centrifuge on,and shake nd centrifuge nd vibrate it for a 100 bilion years. Then at the right moment, electrify the centrifuge and the car parts in it. It ll proberly explode due to the gas nd oil. Then after the explosion,u ll get a beautifull, brandnew, perfect running and shining car.

    Makes sense huh??

  • @Ult1mateUltron your analogy is simply a waste of time. It does not in any way parallel the processes of natural selection. The car parts are not self replicating in anyway. The idea of putting a bunch or parts in a spinning container is just not analogous to anything at all.

What your silly example shows is a total lack of any understanding of the natural processes that sprung from a single cell to what we see today.

  • @emeryemery

U assume that i applie this analogy to evolution.

Although i could applie it to evolution (after adding another comment),

i really applie it slightly different.

I was really talking about all perfect conditions that would supposedly be needed for (the first)life to arise.

I was talking about all perfect conditions supposedly needed for the creation of just a single cell.

That already is equal to a perfect running and shining car.

  • @emeryemery What gave the single cell life? Darwin sure didn't know...

  • @talon439 what created your creator?

  • @emeryemery no one...that's why He's God.

  • @emeryemery You sure showed him with that question.

  • @talon439

Thats because abiogenesis has absolutely nothing to do with evolution you ignorant.....no, scratch that,......Fucking retard.

  • @TheWhiteRabbit1990 lol, you are right but you missed my point - it doesn't even attempt to explain abiogenesis as so many evolutionist believe. Oh yeah and you can call me names...it must be very frustrating trying to defend you beliefs...

  • @talon439

That didn't make any sense. I'm calling it like I see it. When someone like you decides that a wizard taking some dust and a rib and created man and women makes more sense than biology. And then confuses different topics like evolution and abiogenesis. Then your a retard. Its like me saying. How did the African Grey swallows matting habits effect its migration cycle, Newton sure didn't know.

The 2 are completely different subjects not compatible with each other.

  • @TheWhiteRabbit1990 I have not confused the two but believe what you will. As far as calling me a retard - this is because you are emotionally attached to your beliefs because w/out them you would have to face God and that pisses you off. I have not called you any names and I could really care less what you believe. One last thing, if we were discussing this in person I doubt you would be so bold.

  • @talon439

    BAHAHHAHHAHAHHA!!!!

OYG your delusional. The only reason you hold on to your belief in god is because the thought that you would have to face the great Zeus on day just pisses you off. I'm calling you a retard not because I'm emotionally attached to verifiable science, but more obviously because your a fucking retard. I don't know how the universe formed and yet I still don't believe in god so there goes you idea, I don't need evolution to not believe in god.

  • @TheWhiteRabbit1990 You have weak arguments and reasoning capabilities, I never said you needed evolution to not believe in God. I never said you were emotionally attached to verifiable science - you are emotionally attached to your beliefs and since you are unable to intelligently defend them you get pissy - grow up.

  • @talon439 No, and with no proof of God, neither did God. We don't know does not equal God did it!

  • @talon439

But Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, ancient Greek, and Egyptians all knew the origins of life right?

We do not claim to know every answer, only those we can back up with data, evidence or scientific theory

  • I want to thank you for posting this,

I am a young man looking forward to a future where I am a father.

I may not agree with everything that the religion that I was raised in and I just want my children to have the best.

I want to raise them atheist, but the question always remained as to how. So thank you for making it clear, and concise. =)

  • @CheshireShade I'm sure you won't regret that decision someday.

  • I lol'd at option 3.

True, true and true. I was brought up using option 2.

  • they should make it so you can not go to church till you are 18

  • I feel like you should not be born into religion. thats like telling a kid who they should marry. let them grow and find it their self

  • I stopped watching at 0.17 mark. This guy is an idiot who thinks science and atheism are one and the same.

No person can seriously waste time listening to this buffoon rambling on after that mark.

  • @karamarouge but you do become atheist because of science

  • Again, you espouse the stupidity of the author of the video.

  • @karamarouge i am a Atheist because of science

  • Um you happen to be one person out of over 6 billion on earth..

Some guy some time ago, some where in newyork went on a killing a spree because his dog told him to do so.

Using that logic that personal experience can be applied universally, should we now say that dog owners are potential mass murderers?

Learn to reason before speak. And understand the meaning of your words and what implications your ideas have.

  • @karamarouge you know the Answers to that the only reason why people are Atheist is because of common sense and science

  • As i said you have your opinion. It is false and monumentally stupid. but it is your opinion none the less. You can repeat it over and over again but it will not change the fact that science is not atheism.

  • @karamarouge who said science was atheism i said i came to be a atheist by science

  • Um that is pretty much what the author of this video assumes. That science and atheism are the same. (or appreciation of science )

  • @karamarouge I did not say anything about the video

  • @karamarouge science and atheism are not the same. But science teaches you critical thinking and logic. That is why the more educated you are, the more accomplished as scientist, the more chances for you to be an atheist. And vise verse. As for 6 billion believing in different kind of superstitions, there is a famous fallacy "millions believe in him, therefore he exist."

  • @CelosTV Religions are false - Christianity is not a religion therefore regardless of what religion or lack thereof one is born into - one must still grow and find it their self.

  • @Tumadre5679 you are simply wrong. Being Atheist is not a lack of belief, it is a critical way of thinking that is backed by data, not ancient stories and faith.

    Think before you post, mate.

  • @emeryemery shut up u dont know anything i feel bad for u

  • @emeryemery Being athiest is definitely not a lack of belief, instead it takes A LOT of faith to believe there is no God. You may have a wrong idea of who the God of the Bible actually is - as most athiest do. He loves you and sent His son to pay your sin debt so you could have eternal life.

  • maybe in randomville usa... not anywhere else, certainly not in western secular europe or scandinavia

  • How on earth do you teach atheism?

  • @funnygames1 Atheism is the very simple belief that there is no God. So the way you would teach Atheism is to explain to your children that the various religions throughout history have relied on faith to support their belief system but that Atheists rely on empirical evidence.

As in any belief, it too can be taught but unlike the faith based beliefs it is supported by data so you are not only teaching a belief system, you are also teaching and illustrating critical thought.

  • you're dumb

  • great info in the video.

i dont like how you call it 'teaching atheism'.

it makes it sound like a religion, but it is so far from being a religion. it is without religion.

what you call 'atheism' is really just 'reasoning skills'.

people just need to be reasonable.

so how about it? can you refrain from calling reasoning skills 'atheism'?

  • Absolutely spot on! I did indeed use the term incorectly and I have for a long time changed the way I use the word Atheist. Great comment. Thank you.

  • cool.

  • exactly some religion does not contridict science but mostly christians are the ones that say science is evil evolution is true if ther is a god it is not the one people talk about

  • what? you considering that you can teach to childreen how to NOT believe in GOD? What about the Holy Bible when says that there is only ONE GOD AND ONE WAY to live in this world by the name of Jesus Christ? are you insane? this video is a huge CRIME against our childreen! This is not freedom, this is EVIL!

TEACH THAT JESUS WAS PUNISHED IN CRUX TO SAVE US FROM OUR MISTAKES !

This is why the Brazilian Army have to invade and take over USA to arrest all communists atheists bastards like you.

  • You're out of your mind! There are so many "bibles" that make similar claims, it's laughable.

The bible is just a book with a lot of bullshit in it.

  • what? AM I OUT OF MY MIND? you insulted the Holy Bible, you said it is just "a book" with a lot of BULLSHIT in it and now I am the guy out of my mind?

THERE IS ONLY ONE BIBLE! ONE VOICE OF GOD! THERE IS NO MANY BIBLES!

I WILL NOT FALL IN YOUR TRICKS, OLD NICK I KNOW YOU WELL!

do something correct and delete this video RIGHT NOW!

You think you are smart but your mind is full of anti-christ`s poison.

Get out of internet and go to a chruch to save your soul!

    I will pray for you

  • Your bible is not "holy". There is no hell or heaven. You are just the latest in a LONG line of people who claim your God is the one true god. Actually, you're not even the latest. I think Scientology holds that tattered, over passed baton.

There is no reason to believe that your bible is anything but a book written by men.

You're belief is on the way out. It will go the same way as the sun worshipers & Zeus.

  • Your claims are as unbased and as unfounded as those that you attack. You present no intellectual argument of any means nor capacity. You are clearly a simpleton bound in his own sin and determined to drag down your own with you in your own bull headed stubborness that what you believe must definately be true.

The greatest minds of all time are religious men with at least RESPECT for religion. Newton, Einstein, Hawking. Darwin himself repented on his death bed (the king of commie atheists).

  • @emeryemery The Bible has and will stand the test of time, unlike athiesm. There is no reason to believe that the Bible is anything but a book written by men? Really? I pray that if/when the Holy Spirit knocks on the door of your heart again you will unlock the deadbolts and chains my friend.

  • I also smell a socialist commie scumbag here and maybe Brazil has a better moral base than the USA now.

How to teach your child to be closed minded? I pity the fool.

With 668 prophecies in the Bible that came to fruition, as backed up by the Dead Sea Scrolls proving they were not writen after the event, I certainly would not dare teach my children atheism!

Atheism, the religious cult of belief in no God whatsoever. And it fits EVERY definition of a religion, no matter what you say.

  • scientists don't know everything but they admit that, and they don't force a false story on to you.

  • @TheAmazingShua some try to - evolution

  • h2omanz said:

respect your belief, yet energy is eternal no start or ending

    -thermodynamics(first rule of)

you cant have something from nothing. Needs a source.

its your choice, but being "free" in your eyes is what the world says and could be nothing further from the truth.

Science doesn't explain where all matter came from. It doesn't know any more than inventing a God to explain it.

  • We may never know how the universe came into being but what we do know is that every supernatural explanation that has come, from the sun worshipers to the son worshipers does not give us the answer and they all ignore the most obvious question. How did the supreme being come into existence? Any God puts us back at square one. How did God come into existance?

How do people of faith always miss this obvious question?

  • @emeryemery God is an eternal being, thus the name God. He is outside of time which is obviously temporal. This means He trancends His creation and provides the only possible explaination. The reverse is true of your point, without God we keep getting put back at square one and continually will - this is why one can intellectually believe in God but He is not concerned w/ you intellectually believing, He wants you to KNOW HIM spiritual.

  • @emeryemery we know energy and matter are not eternal by using the 2nd law of thermodynamics (entropy). In other words we know energy can neither be created nor destroyed so there are limited resources of Hydrogen - we know that stars burn hydrogen therefore energy can NOT be eternal therefore it had a beginning. By these laws we know you can NOT have an eternal number of beginnings. These laws are provable unlike evolutionary theory.

  • morom.

if there is no purpose to life, the only reason why you should do good would be for your own benefit. enjoy teaching that to your kids. science always changes so no, we shouldnt be teaching our kids to do XYZ based only on science

  • Every religious person I know has never chastised me for being an atheist. I like those people.
