AliceC asks a question that countless webmasters have struggled with, including myself on a couple occasions. Fact is, the specifics of Google's policies (ie. the technical details of how the Webmaster Guidelines are interpreted) are intentionally mysterious. And while I fully appreciate why that is, it sometimes leaves honest webmasters (who do NOT have a hacked site) in the lurch when something innocent they did triggered a false positive in Google's filters.

Thanks Matt - very useful info. Meaning that we can file for reconsideration and secondly, re-register at 'Fetch as Googlebot'

Im also confused, is this an old video? How did Matt manage to grow his hair so quickly?

Maybe all other video's are old and he didn't cut his hair since ... ;)
Anyway, ... it's the message that counts, right?

all the videos were recorded ages ago, they answer a tonne of questions then split each into a vid, then probably pull one out of a hat.
