I am actually fairly confident I don't need a cheat meal. Just on a special occasion, which ends up being maybe once a month, eat somewhat poorly (but still the best option) at a restaurant.

I had a cheat meal today, right now actually! :D It's not actually a meal, I don't really like eating greasy stuff usually so I took a chocolatebar! And it's kind of cut up in smaller pieces so you can break em off, you know what I mean. It consists of 6 pieces and I ate 4 of them. Thats about 120 kcal. And suddenly my craving for sweets was over! I'm more a sweets-loving kinda guy, that's why I can tip people to eat lots of fruit instead with their meals! It's great to relieve som craving :)
Scooby, how can u lose all your gains if u pig out? I mean every fourth day i have a day of lets say 3 cheat meals, and these meals are all 3 big ass meals and i havent lost my gains, in fact it did me good, both body and mind, whats up with that, just genetics or am i screwing everything up?
@xMATJz I think that the level of body building that he has achieved does mean that if he pigs out one day he probably loses two weeks of gains. For the rest of us I dont think that one day of pigging out is so doomsday. Try keeping it to a minimum though, since it really is counter productive.

check your upper bodys form and posture! If your glutes are down, and your body is at an angle you won't feel like you are using your chest as much. Keep your back straight and glutes slightly higher, not angled or raised really high, and see if you feel like your chest is being engaged more!

Considering that Mike and Dan give the impression that you can skip cardio and eat what you like once you're ripped on their program, they really don't have a clue. A few of their workout videos are fine but sometimes Mike's form is terrible!

Scooby, I disagree that you need strict nutrition to gain fat and lose muscle. In a span of 5-6 months, I lost around 50 lbs of fat, and gained about 10 lbs of muscle at the EXACT same time. I knew nothing about nutrition (I didn't even know what a calorie was) and I ate whatever I wanted (pasta, pizza, corn dogs, etc). My exercise routine: every weekday, I did varying upper body weight training for 20min, then RIGHT AFTER that, ran for 25 minutes. On Fridays, no lifting, but run for 35min.
Scooby, is there a possibility that you could post a video showing us a before and after of you progress over the years? I'm sure you have old pictures of you around somewhere. It would really motivate us to have a video like that lying around in your channel!

@crazeey100 i've already answered his question, i said that chest are strong muscles, they are so strong that you don't feel your chest sore, unlike biceps and triceps that always get sore when you do work-out. It doesnt mean that if you dont feel pain in your chest, it will not get big... PATIENCE is the key.

@ImTheBiggestNoob you will not feel the muscle pain in your chest because chest are strong muscles. just continue what your doing, because push-ups concentrates on chest.
@ImTheBiggestNoob I would say that it is probably because your triceps are weaker than your chest. Keep doing the push ups and soon enough your chest will start to get sore as your triceps get stronger.
Try doing a superset with dumbell chest flies before pushups or chest presses, so your chest is already a litle tired and hopefully fails before your triceps. Hope that helps!
@ImTheBiggestNoob go ultra wide or do bench press to build a big chest. then after you have a bigger chest you start to shape it with chest squeezing exercising :)
@ImTheBiggestNoob either 1 widen your pushup hand positions or 2 your triceps are the limiting muscles in the exercise and they are dictating when your body can no longer complete a rep. just keep it up then eventually they will your triceps will strengthen and your chest will start to get a better workout
@ImTheBiggestNoob You're still working out your chest (if you're using good form) but the reason your triceps are hurting more is because your chest is actually stronger than your triceps so the pain is more prominent in that area. You should work out your chest with push ups aswell as dumbell/bench press and some flys. Also concentrate on doing tricep dips and some french presses along with your chest work out. Afterawhile it will feel right, just got to get used to it. I know from experience.
@ImTheBiggestNoob I can tell you that from being martial artist....well I used to be hehe now a college student : when you do pushups you gradually can do more...there for you gradually get stronger, and maybe bigger...look at bruce lee...he wasnt huge but strong as a horse...pushups wont make you BIG but thell make you stronger...which you need that strength inorder to move up in weight and get bigger...you get big from heavy weights small repes and stronger from light weight many reps

But make sure you don't make the mistake many many many people make by only working out chest. Its a really stupid look, and its not good for your joints..workout back, legs, triceps, biceps, calves, chest and everything else scooby talks about

@ImTheBiggestNoob Dude, I am not Scooby but, as you may understand, for pushing exercises you need both pecs AND triceps so if you are feeling like only your triceps are training it must be because they are not as strong as your pecs. Maybe you could work on them along with your biceps so when you DO work your chest you will be able to stress them better. I had a binge meal one day...It was after a tough workout. Buffet at a Chinese restaurant. The next day I weighed in 5lbs heavier. I'm on a cut rite now, I will never over-do it like that again lol.

Yeah this is a great tip, can't believe scooby didn't recommend it much sooner. It's easy to lose motivation if you don't let lose every now and then and eat something tasty, I only do it about once a week though sometimes twice on the weekends.
It takes a lot of willpower to stay healthy. When it comes to "cheat meals" I reward myself with the cheat if I eat well and exercise well for the entire week. I believe rewarding yourself every now and then is a great way to stay motivated.

@Shun101010 just go to the treadmill and eat healthy. there are no shortcuts to a six pack except for eating balanced foods and doing cardio.

@Shun101010 Dude, no no no no no! SixPackShortcuts just want your money. Considering that Mike and Dan give the impression that you can skip cardio and eat what you like once you're ripped on their program, they really don't have a clue. A few of their workout videos are fine but sometimes Mike's form is terrible!
Stick with Scooby; everything is completely free and his website is absolutely priceless. :)

Scooby needs to gain some sort of award for best role model or something. Because his videos are so helpful, he puts effort into them, he gives us good tips, he warns us of dangers. So I think I speak for the majority of people when I say this. Thank you so much scooby we all love ya! :)

Scooby, I disagree that you need strict nutrition to gain fat and lose muscle. In a span of 5-6 months, I lost around 50 lbs of fat, and gained about 10 lbs of muscle at the EXACT same time. I knew nothing about nutrition (I didn't even know what a calorie was) and I ate whatever I wanted (pasta, pizza, corn dogs, etc). My exercise routine: every weekday, I did varying upper body weight training for 20min, then RIGHT AFTER that, ran for 25 minutes. On Fridays, no lifting, but run for 35min.

@crazeey100 i've already answered his question, i said that chest are strong muscles, they are so strong that you don't feel your chest sore, unlike biceps and triceps that always get sore when you do work-out. It doesnt mean that if you dont feel pain in your chest, it will not get big... PATIENCE is the key.

@ImTheBiggestNoob you will not feel the muscle pain in your chest because chest are strong muscles. just continue what your doing, because push-ups concentrates on chest.

@ImTheBiggestNoob I would say that it is probably because your triceps are weaker than your chest. Keep doing the push ups and soon enough your chest will start to get sore as your triceps get stronger.

Try doing a superset with dumbell chest flies before pushups or chest presses, so your chest is already a litle tired and hopefully fails before your triceps. Hope that helps!

@ImTheBiggestNoob either 1 widen your pushup hand positions or 2 your triceps are the limiting muscles in the exercise and they are dictating when your body can no longer complete a rep. just keep it up then eventually they will your triceps will strengthen and your chest will start to get a better workout

@ImTheBiggestNoob You're still working out your chest (if you're using good form) but the reason your triceps are hurting more is because your chest is actually stronger than your triceps so the pain is more prominent in that area. You should work out your chest with push ups aswell as dumbell/bench press and some flys. Also concentrate on doing tricep dips and some french presses along with your chest work out. Afterawhile it will feel right, just got to get used to it. I know from experience.

@ImTheBiggestNoob I can tell you that from being martial artist....well I used to be hehe now a college student : when you do pushups you gradually can do more...there for you gradually get stronger, and maybe bigger...look at bruce lee...he wasnt huge but strong as a horse...pushups wont make you BIG but thell make you stronger...which you need that strength inorder to move up in weight and get bigger...you get big from heavy weights small repes and stronger from light weight many reps

check your upper bodys form and posture! If your glutes are down, and your body is at an angle you won't feel like you are using your chest as much. Keep your back straight and glutes slightly higher, not angled or raised really high, and see if you feel like your chest is being engaged more!

@ImTheBiggestNoob Train your triceps also, they will get stronger and you will be able to get an effective chest workout. But make sure you don't make the mistake many many many people make by only working out chest. Its a really stupid look, and its not good for your joints..workout back, legs, triceps, biceps, calves, chest and everything else scooby talks about

@ImTheBiggestNoob Dude, I am not Scooby but, as you may understand, for pushing exercises you need both pecs AND triceps so if you are feeling like only your triceps are training it must be because they are not as strong as your pecs. Maybe you could work on them along with your biceps so when you DO work your chest you will be able to stress them better. The same goes for pulling and biceps/back muscles :) Let's see what Scooby has to say though :) Greetings from Chile!

Yeah this is a great tip, can't believe scooby didn't recommend it much sooner. It's easy to lose motivation if you don't let lose every now and then and eat something tasty, I only do it about once a week though sometimes twice on the weekends.
It takes a lot of willpower to stay healthy. When it comes to "cheat meals" I reward myself with the cheat if I eat well and exercise well for the entire week. I believe rewarding yourself every now and then is a great way to stay motivated.
